HELEN BERNICE GASTRING
Helen Bernice Gastring, known to her family and friends as Bernice, was born April 24, 1928, and passed away in Odessa Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at the age of 75.
Bernice is survived by two step-sons, Joe “Buttons” Gastring of Odessa and Matt Gastrings of Alger, AL.; one step-daughter, Maggie Wilke of New Braunfels, and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husand, Dr. Joe Gastring.
A Rosery will be held Wednesday, February 18 at 6 pm at Crofts Funeral Home in Blanco. Visitation will we held from 12-8pm on Wednesday at Crofts Funeral Home. A Mass will be held at St. Ferdinand’s Catholic Church in Blanco on Thursday Febuary 19 at 10:00 am followed by Bernice being laid to rest in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
CLARA HULDA SULTEMEIER SCHILLING
Mrs. Ernest Schilling nee Clara Hulda Sultemeier was born Feb. 9, 1912, in Sandy to Gus Sultemeier and Bertha (Lindig) Sultemeier and passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg.
Clara married her husband, Ernest Schilling, June 6, 1951, in the Methodist Church.
Services were held Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at Schaetter Funeral Home Chapel in Fredericksburg with the Rev. Jerrell Sharp. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery also located in Fredericksburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, two brothers, Alvin and Milson Sultemeier, and two sisters, Cora Weirich and Minnie Sultemeier.
Clara is survived by two brothers and three sisters and their spouses: Emil Sultemeier; Erwin and Pat Sultemeier, Estha and Jay Lee Hobbs, all of Johnson City, Vera Dietert of New Braunfels and Hattie Fuchs of Blanco.
Pallbearers were Glenn Sultemeier, Calvin Sultemeier, Steven Schmidt, Richard Fuchs, Jimmy Moore, Darren Brinkkoeter and Bobby Humphrey.
Memorials may be made to the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church.
DALLAS CAMP TEMPLE
Dallas Camp Temple, 52, of San Antonio, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at home with family in Cypress.
Memorial services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Houston. Officiating clergy were Rev. David F.K. Puckett and Rev. Justin A. Lindstrom.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she is survived by her daughters Diane Wilson of Katy, and Noelle Herbst Coen (Jason) of Cypress,; mother, Sydney Camp of Houston; sisters, Terrell Young of Houston, and Carolyn Bates (Jack) of Missouri City; and brother, Scott Camp (Debbie) of Katy; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald P. Camp.
Mrs. Temple thrived as a realtor, restaurant owner, and jeweler in the Texas Hill Country. She visited her favorite beach in Galveston at every opportunity and was sure to include marathon antiquing with her family and friends.
A woman of many hats, she created stained glass, painted with oil on canvas, refinished antiques, designed custom jewelry, and enjoyed long fossil hunts on her ranch. Throughout her life, Dallas possessed an endless happy spirit, and it was her wish that her friends and family gather together to celebrate her life.

Susan Triesch Garza
Susan Triesch Garza was born August 27, 1963 in Johnson City, Texas to Olen Triesch and Dorothy Triesch Troppy.
Susan attended Blanco school for 12 years and participated on the drill team for five, while under the direction of Pat Immel.
Susan was involved in several sports activities and loved to watch her son, Seth and his friends play football.
Susan went to be with her Lord Sunday, July 25, 2004 at the age of 40 years.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2004 beginning at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Anamae Storbeck as Officiating Clergy. Followed by Susan being laid to rest in the Blanco Cemetery.
She is proceeded in death by her father Olen.
Susan is survived by her mother Dorothy Troppy, husband Sam Garza and son Seth Garza all of Blanco, Grandmother Lillie Gourley, stepdaughter Stephanie Bishop, grandson Cole Bishop, grandmother Lily Gourley, mother-in-law Dora Garza, dear friends Ray Bitzkie and Ashley Venable as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Pallbearers are Seth Garza, Davie Behrends, Bryan DeLa Rosa, Chris Ledesma, Calen McNett and Michael Trevino. Honorable Pallbearers are Lonnie Garza, Mario Garza, Jr. Garza, Bernie Guerrero, Steve Weber, Tom Gourley, Norm Gourley, Ebbie Gourley, Ken Olfers and Buzz Milam.
Susan was a remarkable woman and truly loved and will be missed by all that knew her.
Juanita Jane Schmidt
Juanita Jane Schmidt was born in Johnson City Texas February 7, 1938 and passed away Monday, July 19, 2004 at the age of 66 years.
Juanita is survived by two sons Wayne Eichman of Somerville, TX, and Eddie Eichman of Austin, TX tow daughters Elaine Hanus of Austin, TX and Sherry Bietzkie of Johnson City and one sister Shirley Weirich of Johnson City, TX, Long time companion George Dorrett of Johnson City, TX., one niece and two nephews as well as five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Juanita is preceeded in death by one son, Kenny Eichman, his parents Robert Fulcher and Francis Johnson one brother Jessie Johnson and Lee Roy Schmidt.
Pallbearers were Ray Bietzkie, James David, Steve Frederick, Rusty Weirich, Gregory David and John David.
Juanita was laid to rest in the Miller Creek Saturday, July 24, 2004
WILBURN BURDETTE (ROBBY) ROBERTSTON
Wilburn Burdette (Robby) Robertson, 93, passed away Feb. 5, 2004, at Fredericksburg Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg after a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 6, 1910, in Burnsville, N.C. to Wilburn Burdette Robertson Sr. MD and Mary Ella Scarry-Grosser of Nova Scotia .
Robby was a retired public school administrator who enjoyed hunting, fishing, tennis, and the many activities of his church, First United Methodist Church of Rutherfordton, N.C.
His parents, three older sisters, his wife of 66 years, Clarene Lincoln Robertson, and his son, Arthur Burdette Robertson, preceded him in death. Robby is survived by his daughter, Maryella Vause of Blanco; seven grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
A private memorial service will be held at the Tree of Life Ranch in Blanco. In the future, Robby’s ashes are to be placed in the Memorial Gardens at the First United Methodist Church in Rutherfordton, N.C., with those of his wife and son.
