Maggie Lee "Gray" Wright
Funeral services for Maggie Lee Wright, 76, of Brazoria, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 1999, at Bethlehem Christian Church in Cedar Lake with Rev. K. W. Bree officiating.
She answered her call to eternal rest on Saturday, October 2, 1999, at the Hospice of the Texas Medial Center in Houston, Texas.
Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Cedar Lake.
She was preceded in death by one child and her husband, Clarence Wright, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories, four sons, Clarence Wright, Jr. (Verma) of Alvin, Charlie Wright (JoAnn) of Houston, Leonard Wright (Angela) of Missouri City and Richard Wright (Shelia) of Brazoria; two daughters, Sophia Wright Davis (Hurbert) of Lake Jackson and Carrie Wright Robertson (Phil) of Angleton; one stepdaughter, G. Louise Crear (Roy) of LaMarque. She also leaves a devoted grandson, which she reared, Steven Franklin of Brazoria; one brother, Cleveland Woodard, Jr. of Hawkinsville; three sisters, Juanita Murphy and Mamie Smith (Robert) of Cedar Lake and Margaret Brown of Danciger; a foster brother, Everett T. Gee (Margaret) of Bay City; two sisters-in-law, Laura Brown of Houston and Louisiana Johnson of Brazoria; four brothers-in-law, Mark Wright, Willie B. Wright, Herman Wright, and Horace Wright, all of Houston; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Clarence Christopher Wright, Cedric Shawn Wright, Vernon Jackson, Hurbert Davis, Phil Robertson, James Wright and Herman Wright, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Wright, Jr., Leonard Wright, Steven Franklin, Charlie Wright, Richard Wright, Cleveland Woodard, Jr., Everett T. Gee and Roy Crear.
Visitation will be Friday, October 8, 1999, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Dixon Funeral Home Chapel and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church. A wake will be held from 7:00 pm. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, at the chapel.

Memorial services for Rodney A. Studer, 50, of Belleville, Illinois, will be held at 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 8, 1999, at Baldus-Radden Funeral Home in Belleville. Visitation will be 7:00 po.m. to 8:00 p.m.
He passed away October 5, 1999.
Mr. Studer was born April 18, 1949 in Pasadena and was a member of Elks BPOE 481.

She passed away Saturday, February 26, 2000 at her residence.
Burial will be at Gulf Coast Cemetery in Clute.

Betty was born June 15, 1933. She was a member of Evergeen Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Waintheus Brown of Sugarland, Texas and Wayne Lee Brown of Clute; two brothers, Raymond Bryant (Vernell) of Houston and Leon Bryant (Pinkie) of Angleton; three sisters, Mary Darthard (Hillup) of Freeport, Dorothy Bryant and Lillie Lunford (Aaron) all of Clute.

Mrs. Daugherty was born Friday, January 4, 1918 in Ezel, Texas.
She is survived by husband, Gene N. Daugherty of Brazoria; niece, Carol Yeater of Brazoria, nephew, Donald Faull of Brazoria, great-nieces, Bridgette Clark of California, Jakie Clark, Rusti McKithan, Brandy Moore Hearn & Christie Moore all of Brazoria, Terri Hollenshead of Louisiana, great-nephew, Billy Quisenberry of Brazoria, great-great-niece & namesake, Maegen Marie Willis, of Brazoria, half sister, Elizabeth Sonenberg of Odessa, 2 great-great-nieces, 6 great-great-nephews.

Paul Edward Carolan
Paul Edward Carolan, 74, of Lake Jackson, Texas passed away Tuesday, February 29, 2000 at Angleton-Danbury Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2000 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at his residence.
Paul was born in Flint, Michigan and moved to Lake Jackson 26 years ago. He was married to his wife Geraldine for 31 years and was a very proud and beloved Papa. He was a member of the California Pipe Trades Union for over 30 years.
Survivors include wife, Geraldine Marie Carolan; daughters and sons-in-law, Anne-Marie and Harry Robinson and Evelyn and Bryce Busby; niece, Pam and husband Jim Smedley; nephew, Mark Musselman; and four grandchildren, Justin and Rebecca Robinson and Peyton and Meghan Busby.
Papa fought long and hard to be with his grandchildren and he will be missed terribly.
Alfred Grover Dunn
Alfred Grover Dunn, 87, of Liberty, Texas passed away Sunday, June 4, 2000 at Northeast Medical Center in Humble.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 8, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at Allison Funeral Service in Liberty.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 7, 2000 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. at Allison Funeral Service.
Interment will be at Cooke Memorial Cemetery in Liberty.
Alfred is a native of Opelika, Texas and a resident of Liberty. He was a rural letter carrier for the United States Post Office and a member of Heights Baptist Church, Freeport Lyons Club and a fifty years plus in the Masons.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Cathren "Rose" Dunn of Liberty; sons, A. G. Dunn, III and wife, Valerie of Rosharon, Larry Dunn and wife, Peggy of Angleton; daughter, Darlene Zieschang and husband, Ernie of Liberty; ten grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Clara Baskin Hutton
Clara Baskin Hutton, 74, of Lake Jackson, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at Brazosport Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2000 at the First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson with Dr. John Hatch officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Lakewood Funeral Chapel.
Clara married Bobby Hutton on August 4, 1944 while he was a Navy pilot and traveled with the Navy until WWII ended. They moved to Austin while her husband attended University of Texas. Upon graduation they moved to Freeport to work for Dow Chemical. They moved to Lake Jackson in 1955 where they had two daughters. Each member of the family has worked for Dow at one time.
Clara was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson for 40 plus years. She was formerly an active member of the Riverside Country Club and the Ladies Association. She was proud of her community and eagerly contributed not only to her church, but also to BMH Foundation, the Cancer Center, the Lake Jackson Historical Museum and other worthwhile causes. She had a reputation as a "mall walker", an excellent cook and hostess, and an avid bridge player.
She is survived by her daughters, Amy Hutton McIntyre and husband, Doug of Abilene, and Bonnie Hutton Pearce and husband, Damon of Angleton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Hillary McIntyre, Shelby McIntyre, Meghan Pearce, Emily Pearce and Erin Pearce; and by brothers, Kenneth Baskin and wife, Peggy of Danville, Kentucky, James Baskin and wife, Lorene of Lufkin, and by Loyd Baskin and wife, Mary Dell of North Canton, Ohio; and by sisters-in-law, Leta Baskin of Dickinson, Billie Baskin of Hobbs, New Mexico and Betty Baskin of Corpus Christi; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Effie G. Baskin; by her husband, Bobby E. Hutton; and four brothers, Garland B. Baskin, Clarence Baskin, William D. Baskin, and Edwin L. Baskin.

Nellie Irene Rice McDonald
Irene McDonald, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 6, 2000. She was born on November 26, 1909 in Leggett, Texas. Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Walter H. McDonald, Sr. Before coming to the Brazosport area, she had resided in Santa Fe, Texas, and La Marque, Texas. She was a member of the Aldersgate Methodist Church in Santa Fe, and the Wesley United Methodist Church in Clute.
She is survived by her three children; son, Walter H. McDonald, Jr. and wife, Harriet of Goodrich, daughters, Glorya Irene Hammers and husband, Art of Altadena, California, and Charlotte Stroud and husband, David, of Clute; seven grandchildren, Laurie Robinson and husband, Kenny of Texas City, Walter H. McDonald, III and wife, Sonja, of Baytown, R. Scott McDonald and wife, Jill, of Alvin, Andrew McDonald and wife, Daina of Santa Fe, Heather Tomberlin and husband, James of Sugarland, Alicia Remmers of Houston, and Brad Remmers of Clute; and ten great-grandchildren; three brothers, Allison Rice of Willis, James Rice and wife, Cecilia of Temple, Leroy Rice and wife, Virginia, of Houston; and one sister, Mary Nelson of Baytown; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at Stroud Funeral Home on Thursday, June 8, from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M., and on Friday, June 9, from noon until 2:00 P.M. at the Aldersgate Methodist Church in Santa Fe, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. June 9, at the Aldersgate Methodist Church in Santa Fe, with Rev. Gene Easterling and Rev. Randy Warren officiating. Christopher Wayne Funderburg
Christopher Wayne Funderburg, 17, of Angleton, Texas, was reunited with his twin sister, Dayna Renee, on Sunday, November 26, 2000 in Houston, Texas at Texas Children's Hospital.
He is survived by his loving mother, Cindi Funderburg of Angleton; brothers, Patrick and Grant Funderburg; sister, Jennifer Funderburg of Angleton; loving father, Warren Funderburg and step-mother, Teresa Funderburg of Houston; step-sister, Ashley Funderburg of Houston; grandparents, Margaret and James Callender of Hitchcock, Susan Peck of Sugarland and Jerry and Gloria Funderburg of League City; great-grandparents, Zera Callender of Spring and Lee and Emily Funderburg of League City; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., with funeral services starting at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 2, 2000 at Forest Park East Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.

She passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2000 at Vencor Hospital Center.
She was born October 3, 1906 in Avery, Texas, to George W. and Gracie Mae Cox Peek.
She married Henry W. Cato on June 8, 1924 in Avery, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1993.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Denison.
Survivors include her sons, James E. Cato of Freeport, and Johnny W. Cato of Denison; daughters, Ruby Dellinger of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Mary Ford of Denison and Carolyn Baumgardner of Freeport; sister, Gracie Morrison of Clarksville; 23 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
