Norma Rhea Doherty of Liverpool, passed away Monday, April 23, 2001 at her residence.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 25, 2001 from 2-9 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 26, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Daniel McKenna, O.M.I. officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Park Cemetery.

Sarah Louise Cammareri Thornton
Sarah Louise Cammareri Thornton, 44, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2001. Sarah was born in Port Arthur, Texas. She was a 1974 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Lamar University in Beaumont. She was a dedicated teacher at Henry O. Tanner and Brazoria Elementary Schools for 15 years. During Sarah's tenure as a teacher she touched the lives of many children and parents. Sarah was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brazoria. She belong to the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Brazoria. Her Sorority Sisters became a source of strength, assistance and love during her illness.
Sarah is survived by her husband of 9 years, Tom Thornton of West Columbia; daughter, Brittany Tanner of West Columbia; step-sons, Seth Thornton of Denton, Josh Thornton of College Station, and Jonathan Thornton of Brownwood; parents, Sam and Helen Cammareri of Beaumont; brothers and sisters-in-law, Vincent and Debra Cammareri of Austin, and John Carl and Lynn Cammareri of Chicago, Illinois; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2001 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brazoria, 219 CR 762, with a Wake/Rosary Service scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be 4:00 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2001 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Tin Kim Pham and Deacon Jimmy Smith, co-celebrants.

Kitteile Rieger
Kitteile Rieger, 27, of Cedar Park, passed away October 1, 2000 in Austin.
Kitteile was born March 29, 1973 in Austin, to Tim and Gale Rieger. She graduated in 1991 from Westwood High School. Kitteile was employed by Empire Funding Corporation, where she worked as a loan processor.
Kitteile was a very family-oriented person and loved her family dearly, as well as having many friends that she enjoyed spending time with. Kitteile touched the hearts of many people by her quiet, sincere kindness. She will be greatly missed.
Kitteile is survived by her parents, Tim and Gale Rieger of Cedar Park; sister, Tegan Rieger of Cedar Park; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Rieger of Freeport, Helen Young-Glaser of Kerville, and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were Tuesday, October 3, 2000 at Westover Hills Church of Christ with Phil Ware, minister, officiating. Interment followed at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.

Simon Williams, Jr.
Funeral services for Simon Williams, Jr., 70, of Angleton, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2000 at New Revelation Baptist Church, Chenango, with Rev. D. A. Goston officiating.
He died Sunday, October 1, 2000 at Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Burial will be at Providence Cemetery in Chenango.
Visitation will be Thursday, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at E. Viola & Son Funeral Home with wake following from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at New Revelation Baptist.
Mr. Williams was born July 30, 1930 and was a member of New Revelation Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Florence S. Williams of Angleton; one son, Gary Williams of Houston; four daughters, Esther Leonard of Beaumont, Andrea Roy, Pamela Williams and Sonya Williams, all of Angleton; four brothers, Oscar Williams, Cullen Johnson and Willie Johnson, all of Houston, Leo Johnson of Palo Alto, California.
Active pallbearers will be Dale Scoby, Juanito Williams, Sr., Thomas Barnes, Paul Tolbert, Bob Williamson, Roger Ross, Ricky Williams and Charles Carethers.
Honorary pallbearers will be King Jackson, Cullen Johnson, Leo Johnson, Willie Johnson, Oscar Williams, Marcus Roy, Bobby Jones and Gary Williams.

Elaine Becnel Risher
Elaine Becnel Risher, 84, a long-time resident of Round Rock, died on August 20, 2000.
Elaine was a retired public school teacher with over 35 years of service. She taught in the Brazosport Independent School District in both Freeport and Lake Jackson, where she lived and raised her family.
She is survived by her three sons, Robert J. Risher, David M. Risher and wife, Sandra Schroeder Risher, Thomas E. Risher and wife, Cherri Trahan Risher, all of Austin. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Andrea Risher Roberts and husband, Dale Roberts, Sara Risher Bradford and her husband, Greg Bradford, and Rebecca Risher; one great-grandson, Nathaniel Roberts; four step-grandchildren, Tiffany, Amanda, Brandon and Aaron; and a sister-in-law, Judy Risher; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be at St. William's Catholic Church in Round Rock on Wednesday, August 23, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be immediately following at Cook Walden Capital Parks Mausoleum.

Funeral services for Ava Adell Cox, 84, of Houston, formerly of West Columbia, will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2000 at Columbia United Methodist Church, West Columbia, with Rev. Rex Carleton officiating.
She died Saturday, June 3, 2000 in Houston.

Ava was born June 12, 1915 in Rockdale, Texas. She was a member of the First Capitol Study Club, Columbia United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Lloyd Bruce Eddy; brothers, Frank M. Bownds, Roy Bownds; and sister, Velma Little.
Survivors include her husband, W. F. "Bill" Cox of Houston; daughters and son-in-law, Frances Adell Eddy of Houston, Joan Elizabeth and Michael Ryan of San Marcos; sister, Geraldine Collinsworth of Odem; grandchildren, Kimberly Elizabeth Gliganic, Melanie Adell Overholt, Elizabeth Marava Jackson; great-grandson, William Kirk Jackson.
Pallbearers will be members of the Men's Sunday School Class, Ray Sauer, Jim Hankins, James Farmer, Jack Patterson, Bo Covington and Kenneth Welsch.

Clara Mae Hutton, 74, of Lake Jackson passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at Brazosport Memorial Hospital.

Elbert Lee "Coach" Yoes
Having fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith, Elbert Lee "Coach" Yoes was received into our Heavenly Father's eternal kingdom on June 4, 2000. His family was with him at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster, Texas, to celebrate his release from his quarter century battle with Parkinsonism. The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 8, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Angleton with Dr. Rodney Bowman officiating. Entombment will follow at Restwood Cemetery in Lake Jackson. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2000 and from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2000 at Palms Funeral Home.
Elbert Lee "Coach" Yoes was born June 24, 1922 in Iowa Park, Texas, to Elbert Rector and Annie Lee Taylor Yoes. On July 26, 1947, he married Charlotte Mae Buff. He had been an Angleton resident since 1957 and was a member of First Baptist Church in Angleton. Elbert received his Bachelor's of Science in religious education from Howard Payne College in 1947 and his Master's of Science in Education from Baylor University in 1967. For 36 years, he touched thousands of lives as coach, mentor and teacher predominately in Angleton Independent School District. He cherished the memories of his youth baseball coaching activities and was a Golden Gloves lightweight division reserve champion in the late 1940's. Reborn in the fellowship of Christians at an early age, Elbert recognized God's call to the ministry and was licensed to preach by Howard Payne University. After serving several summers in the Baptist Student Union and in area churches ministering through music and the preaching of God's word, he felt the call to go into public education where he utilized his skills effectively.
Elbert was preceded in death by his parents and by his sisters, Jimmie Robinson and Opal Parker.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Mae Yoes of Angleton; son, Charles Elbert Yoes and wife, Stephanie of Dickinson; daughters, Melodee Yoes Beadle and husband, James of Wallisville, Carole Yoes West and husband, John of Navasota and Holy Belle Rickard and husband, Jerome of New Braunfels; brothers, Bill C. Yoes and wife, Victoria of Rising Star, David Yoes and wife, Charlene of Grandview, and Don C. Yoes of May; sisters, Euna Mae Thompson and husband, Thetus of Norwood, North Carolina, and Frances Causey of Dallas; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Lou Wainwright
Mary Lou Wainwright, 75, of Alta Vista, died Sunday, June 4, 2000 at the Morris County Hospital in Council Grove.
She was born June 4, 1925 in Alta Vista the daughter of Jack and Alice Strom Ziegler. She married Edgar Wainwright in Alta Vista on April 29, 1944 and attended Simpson United Methodist Church at Alta Vista. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, and attending school events at Council Grove and Alta Vista.
She is survived by her husband; six sons, David Wainwright and wife, Nancy of Lake Jackson, Dennis Wainwright of Shawnee, Kansas, Don Wainwright and wife, Tammy of Manhattan, Kansas, Dale Wainwright and Kris, of Garden City, Kansas, Dean Wainwright and wife, Brenda of Wichita, Kansas, Darren Wainwright and wife, Deb of Overland Park, Kansas; one sister, Helen McDiffett of Alta Vista, Kansas; one brother, Virgil Ziegler of Alta Vista, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Andrea Wainwright, Daniel Wainwright, Darci Wainwright, Diann Wainwright, Kyle Wainwright, Erin Wainwright and Amber Wainwright.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2000 at the Kendall Funeral Chapel in Council Grove with interment to follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery at Alta Vista.
