MARK ALAN SANTNER
Mark Alan Santner, devoted father, loving son and brother passed away at his home in Lake Jackson, Texas, in his sleep sometime Sunday night, October 14, 2001.
Mark was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on March 31, 1955, to Robert & Lois Santner. He was the third child of three, having an older brother and sister. He attended school at Sweeny and graduated from Sweeny High School. Mark was a large man who liked the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed wood working and carpentry in high school and metal working later in life.
As a small child, he always exhibited an intense curiosity about almost everything and in this regard was always a constant source of excitement for his family. After high school, Mark worked on oil rigs for several years as a rigger. He then worked for the Phillips Refinery at Old Ocean as a pipefitter. Later, he worked in the BASF plant at Freeport as an operator.
His daughter, Amy Nicole Santner was the light of his life and he loved to spend time with her doing anything, but especially sharing their common love for the outdoors. He also was very interested in her education.
He loved and respected his mother and father. When his dad died several years go, he took it very hard. Living near his mother, he looked after her, helping with heavy work.
In recent years, he became interested in his family history and particularly the spiritual heritage that was evident. His father started the Sweeny Nazarene Church and Mark was one of the charter members and a faithful attender there. While attending the Sweeny Nazarene Church, he also taught a Sunday School class.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Santner of Lake Jackson.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Nicole Santner of Sweeny; mother, Lois Santner of Lake Jackson; sister, Linda Westenburger and husband John of Lynchburg, Virginia; brother, Chris Santner and wife Rhonda of Houston. He is also survived by nieces, Jennifer Foster and Kara Santner and nephew, Nicholas Santner.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2001 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am., Saturday, October 20, 2001 at the Lake Jackson Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Ken Christoffersen officiating. Burial will follow at Sweeny Cemetery in Sweeny, Texas.
Memorials may be made in Mark's name to the Youth Program of the Lake Jackson Church of the Nazarene, FM 2002, Lake Jackson, Texas 77566.

He was born Wednesday, October 22, 1980 in Lake Jackson, Texas and died Friday, October 12, 2001 in Brazoria, Texas.

Richard served in the U.S. Navy.

BOBBYE NELL ROBINSON
Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2001 at Palms Funeral Home for Bobbye Nell Robinson of Angleton.
She died Saturday, October 13, 2001 in Overland Park, Arkansas, at the age of 58.
Burial will be in Restwood Cemetery in Lake Jackson.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2001 at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton.

Bobbye was born May 17, 1943 in Houston to William and Mary McLain Perritt. She was an Angleton resident for 45 years and was a member of Trinity Christian Center and the Angleton Republican Women's Club.
Her husband, Clayton Robinson, precedes her in death.
Survivors include her mother, Mary McLain; son, Bryan Robinson of Overland Park, Kansas; daughters, Paige Robinson Huckabay of Overland Park, Kansas and Amy Robinson of Angleton; and grandchildren, Jessica Huckabay and Davy Ann Bridges.

ELISE MAUREEN HALL
Elise Maureen Hall of Alvin passed away at the age of 72 on Friday, October 12, 2001. She was born on June 23, 1929 in Sac City, Iowa to her parents Earl and Bernice Tatman.
She was an Alvin resident for 7 years and a member of the Protestant faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Hall; her three brothers, George Tatman, Bill Tatman, and Mahlon Tatman; and her sister, JoAnn Howard.
Survivors are her two sons: Bill Hall and his wife Carmen and Andy DeSham and his wife Paula; her two daughters: Deannie Graham and her husband Keith and Charmaine Neighbors and her husband Roger; father of the children, Andy DeSham of Freeport; her grandchildren: Kelly Williams, Jennifer Graham, Barret Hall, Michelle Hall, Stacey Phillips, Michaela Hall, Jessica Rae DeSham, Kristen DeSham, Nathan DeSham, Katie DeSham and Jessica Alyse DeSham. Other survivors include her four great-grandchildren: Logan, Hunter, Cooper, and Hayley; her sister Charlyne Barthman; and many nieces and nephews, including Jake Howard of Fairmont, Minnesota.

HOWARD ELLIS FRIZELLE
Howard Ellis Frizielle, 92, of Sweeny, Texas, passed away October 14, 2001 at Sweeny House in Sweeny, Texas. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by his family. He was born on December 13, 1908 in Cardwell, Missouri to Ida Johnson and Ben Frizielle. He grew up in Arkansas and as a boy, he worked with his father cutting timber and making railroad cross ties.
He married Alice Elizabeth Holland on February the 8th, 1936, in Clarendon, Arkansas. He served in the US Navy during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star for heroic action in the battle of Iwo Jima and a Purple Heart for injuries he received there. He loved to fly and was a licensed pilot. He was 32nd Degree Mason and belonged to the Scottish Rite.
Howard is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alice; by one son and daughter-in-law, Howard Donald and Evelyn Frizielle of Diamond Bar, California; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Kelly Borders of Sweeny, Texas; three grandchildren, Larry and wife Teresa Borders, Kelly Borders, Jr. and Kaycee Borders; one great-grandchild, Camron Borders; one brother, Wiley Frizielle of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His parents and one brother preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2001 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2001, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel in West Columbia with Rev. Mike Hanks officiating.
Burial will follow in Sweeny Cemetery.

JACK LEE BROADWAY
Jack Lee Broadway, "PaPaw" to his family, was born on March 4, 1915, in North Zulch, Texas. Jack entered the gates of Heaven on October 15, 2001, at the age of 86. To greet him was his Heavenly Father; his loving wife of 54 years, Ivy Lee Broadway; his father, Lee Broadway; and the mother he had always longed to know, Minnie Beatrice Broadway. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Pearl Broadway; brothers, Lester Broadway and Reed Broadway; and sister, Ruby Broadway McElroy.
Jack is survived by his loving children, Ron Broadway and Sue of Pinehurst, Jackie Loving and Bob of Lake Jackson; four granddaughters, Roni Odom and Don of Lake Jackson, Lori Loving of Lake Jackson, Shannon Mullenex and Kee of Spring and Shelby Nixon & Kurt of Spring. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, including Brent Odom and Brady Odom of Lake Jackson, Cady, Jessie and Shelby Mullenex of Spring and Carrington Sue Nixon of Spring.
He is also survived by one brother, Jim Broadway and Jeanne' of Charleston, South Carolina; three sisters, Billye Harmon and Judy Spence of Beaumont and Sally Pruitt of Picayune, Mississippi. Also, a special brother-in-law, Billy Jack Corley and Reba of Washington-on-the-Brazos, along with other nieces and nephews, his best "cuz", J.A. "Blondie" Andrews and Janis of Mexia, and a very dear and loving friend, Dessie Goff of Lake Jackson.
Jack started his career at the age of 15 and worked as a welder and welders' inspector into the early 1980's. He worked for multiple pipeline companies out of Local 798. He was a 58 year member of the Masonic Lodge #593. Jack attended First Baptist Church of Angleton.

Jack was a kind and loving man who was cherished by his family. He could always bring a smile to any face. He had pet names for all of his family members and for his friends. He brightened all of our days with his cute, funny sayings, he cheerfulness and affection. He was a generous man and would always try to help those in need in any way that he could. He believed in working hard, something he did faithfully for many years of his life. People who met Jack were quickly endeared to him and he will leave a lasting impression on all who knew and loved him. His memory will be in the hearts of many and he will be greatly missed.
JULIA MAE (JUDE) RAE
Funeral Services for Julie Mae (Jude) Rae, age 86 of Clute, Texas, were held at 10:00 AM on October 13, 2001, at Corley Funeral Chapel in Corsicana, Texas with Rev. Chet Brake officiating.
She died Thursday, October 11, 2001 in Houston, Texas.
Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Park on W. Highway 31 in Corsicana.
Mrs. Rae was born March 9, 1915 in Kosse, Texas and was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Buna Brantner of Houston, Texas and Irene Gallagher of Giddings, Texas; two sisters, Edna Earl and C.W. Price of Purdon, Texas and Dorothy Scroggins of Henderson, Texas; grandson and wife, Ray and Melinda Thomason; and two great-granddaughters, Allison and Emily Thomason all of Willis Point, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins; Two brothers-in-law, Aubrey Rae of Carmine, Texas and Milton Rae of Houston, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Johnnie Rae; two sisters, Eloise Bosley and Mayciell Cox; her parents, Clarence & Edna Gunn; two brothers, Dwain Gunn and W.C. Gunn, Jr.; and a daughter, Sue Thomason.

Rose Marie Orr, 72, of Sweeny, TX, died Friday, October 12, 2001 in Wharton, TX.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2001 at First Baptist Church in Sweeny, with the Rev. Jerl Watkins officiating.
Visitation was at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia on Sunday.
She was born in Galveston, TX, on Thursday, March 7, 1929 and was a member of First Baptist Church in Sweeny.
Rose was a loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She was active in the day-to-day ranch activities on the family ranch. She loved flowers and gardening and she was also an accomplished seamstress, including cross-stitching and crocheting. She was also a wonderful cook.
She was a "servant" to everyone; always doing special things for other people. She raised her sisters after the death of her Mother and they have always thought of her as a Mother. She was a former Pink Lady at Sweeny Community Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William A. Orr. Jr. of Sweeny; daughter, Cheryl Marie Orr of Battle Creek, Michigan; sons and daughters-in-law, William A., III and Deborah Orr of Angleton and Clayton Redding and Lisa Orr of Sweeny; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred Ferguson of Arlington, Evelyn Joyce and Billy H. Wallace of Sweeny and Helen and J.C. Bailey of Sweeny; grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Orr, Colton Redding Orr, Brittany Elaine Orr, Jacobi Judd Orr, Christian Redding Orr and Canaan Redding Orr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde J. Sr. and Susie Smith; brother, Clyde J. Smith Jr. and brother-in-law, Lyle Ferguson.
Pallbearers will be J.C. Bailey, Billy Bryan Orr, Doyle David Orr, James Rodney Orr, Noel Jay Orr and Charles Richards.

Joe M. Otero, 75, of Freeport, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 13, 2001 at Woodlake Nursing Home.
Joe is survived by four brothers: Martin Otero of San Diego, California, Ted Otero of Aransas Pass, Texas and Santiago and Cirildo Otero of Galveston, Texas; two sisters, Maria Meza and Cande Mireles of Aransas Pass, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Norma Jean Otero, and his wife, Joyce Otero.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2001 at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel with interment at Restwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ted Otero, Walter Meza, John Sanchez and Romeo De Leon.
