Funeral services for Richard Setser, 52, of Angleton, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2002, at Palms Funeral Home Chapel in Angleton, Texas.
Mr. Setser passed away Friday, January 25, 2002, in Angleton.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2002, at Palms Funeral Home.
He is survived by his father, Billy Setser of Angleton; daughters, Delores Sue Randall of Suitland, Md., and Sheila Velez of Tampa, Fla.; brother, Frankie Setser of Angleton; sisters, Debbie Zook of Pennsylvania, Linda Villarreal of California, and Pasty Bustamante of Amarillo.

AUGUST DITTRICH
August “Junior” Richard Dittrich, 76, of Weimar, died Jan. 21 in Austin. Funeral services were Jan. 24 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Weimar with Father Tim Kosler officiating.
Interment followed at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Weimar.
Junior was born in Schulenburg, on Nov. 14, 1925, to August and Frances (Peter) Dittrich. He married Hermasella Findeisen on June 28, 1948, a marriage of 53 years.
Their married life began in Galveston, where Patricia was born. They relocated to San Antonio, and their daughter Catherine was born.
They found themselves in Angleton, and Marilyn, David and Barbara were born to the couple in the ensuing years.
Junior retired from the Dow Chemical Company in the late 1960s after 17 years as a boilermaker welder.
He moved to Weimar, where he spent the next few years ranching and farming.
In the mid-1970s, he ended up back in Angleton, where he finished his career as supervisor for McGill Maintenance. During that time he also kept up the ranch in Weimar.
In the earlier years, Junior enjoyed hunting and fishing but spent most of his time working on his ranch. In later years, he enjoyed watching sports and reading his daily newspaper.
Junior was active in several organizations. He was a Fourth Degree Knight with St. Michael’s Knights of Columbus. He was a member and past board member of the Texas Farm Bureau and the German Society.
He had been on the boards of directors of the Hochheim Insurance Company. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and director of New Bielau Community Center.
Junior will be missed terribly by his family and friends.
Junior is survived by his wife, Hermasella, and five children and their spouses: Patricia and Bob Schoelikopf, Cathy and Allen Cader, Marilyn Dittrich and daughter Elizabeth, David and Debbie Dittrich, and Barbara and Vinson Wood; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and sister, Elia Cernosek of Weimar.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, James; and four brothers, Edward, George, Leo and Ervin.
Pallbearers were Vinson Wood, Allen Cader, Christopher Cader, Brian Schoelikopf, Johnathan Schoelikopf and Bobby Schoelikopf.
ROBERT JAMES 'JIMMY' JESSMER, III
Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2002, in the Angleton Cemetery for Jimmy Jessmer, III, 7-day-old infant son of Robert “Bobby”, Jr. and Stacy Jessmer of Brazoria. Dr. Rodney Bowman will officiate.
Jimmy passed away Friday, January 25, 2002, in Texas Children’s Hospital.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon at Palms Funeral Home.
Jimmy was born January 18, 2002, in Houston. In addition to his parents, Jimmy is survived by his sisters, Crystal Marie and Teya Maria Jessmer of Brazoria; grandparents: Robert Jessmer Sr. of Potsdam, N.Y., Fran Jessmer of Sweeny, and Wesley and Linda Paulk of Angleton; great-grandparents: Edna and Archie Denman of Mills, Wyo., and Gloria Jessmer of Potsdam, N.Y.; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

Funeral services for Denise Renee Hulsopple-Evans, 44, of Angleton will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 28, 2002, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Lake Jackson, Texas with Monsignor Leo Wleczyk officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 27, 2002 with a rosary being recited at 3:00 p.m. at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute, Texas.
She was born August 12, 1957, to Donald L. & Jean Hulsopple in Freeport. She passed away, Thursday, January 24, 2002, in Richwood.
Denise touched many lives. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, and “Daddy’s Little Girl”. Those who knew her will forever love and miss her.
She was preceded in death by her precious dad, Donald L. Hulsopple and her loving brother, Dale Henry Hulsopple.
She is survived by Sammy, Scott and Steven Evans; mother, Jean Hulsopple of Lake Jackson; daughter, Donna Gruna of Wisconsin; son, David Evans of California; brothers, Doval Hulsopple of Irving and Lowell Hulsopple, Jr. of Marble Falls; grandson, Travis Wayne Gruna; and her forever special friend, Dorothy Bluemel.

ELISABETH TUCKER
Funeral Mass for Elisabeth Tucker, 62, of Angleton, is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2002 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1713 N. Tinsley, in Angleton, Texas with Father Vince Dulock, celebrant.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2002 at Holy Trinity.
Continuing services will be in Rison, Arkansas on Wednesday, January 30, 2002 and burial at Mount Zion Cemetery in Kedron, Arkansas.
She passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2002 in Angleton.
Elisabeth was born to Hienrick & Maria Reinman Hertweck in Bad Rappeneau, Germany on November 16, 1939. In 1976, she married Milford Tucker in Kileen and they have been residents of Brazoria County since 1980. Elisabeth was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and a Catholic Daughters.
She is survived by her husband, Milford Tucker of Angleton; sons, Kevin Tucker of Katy, Lonnie Tucker of Slidell, Louisiana, and Robert Tucker of Cut Off, Louisiana; daughters, Patricia Shiflet, of Lake Jackson, Tina Tucker and Sharon Horton of Chalmette, Louisiana and Barbara Tucker of Violet, Louisiana; sister, Sieglinde Schweiger of Bad Rappeneau, Germany; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Elisabeth’s sons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

BARBARA AMELIA HOBBS
Funeral Services for Barbara Amelia Hobbs, 86, of Wharton will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2002 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Kersten and Rev. Robert Pfenning officiating.
Interment will follow in the Wharton City Cemetery.
Barbara was born to Ed Berberich and Julia Heil Berberich on July 15, 1915 in Wharton County and passed away Thursday, January 24, 2002 in Bay City following an extended illness.
Friends may call at the Wharton Funeral Home between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2002.
Mrs. Hobbs was a homemaker and a life long resident of Wharton County. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Womens Circle and Quilting Club. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, raising flowers, and cooking for her family and friends.
She married Floyd William Hobbs on April 1, 1934 in Wharton and was preceded in death by him on February 5, 1978. She was also preceded in death by a son, James Hobbs; her sister, Jeanette Williams; and two brothers, Phillip and Eddie Berberich.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne & Pat Hobbs of Caldwell, Wilbur & Annita Hobbs of Lake Jackson Ray and Carole Hobbs of Van Vleck; brother, Louis Berberich of Wharton; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Robert Hobbs, Duane Hobbs, Charles Hobbs, Jerry Hayslip, Paul Hobbs, David Hobbs, Timmy Hobbs and Aaron Lankston.

DOROTHY B. MADDEN
Dorothy B. Madden, resident of Angleton, since 1987, passed away, Tuesday, January 22, 2002 at Cypress Woods Care Center in Angleton, at the age of 92.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ryan Madden in 1983; two sons, Jerry & Ted Madden and one brother.
She is survived by her son, Joe Madden of Alvin, one sister, Shirley Aribinko and two grandchildren.
