Funeral services for Bessie Mae Robinson, 73, of West Columbia, Texas, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 1, 2002, at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church, Hwy. 36, Latonia Community, with the Rev. Jonathan Taylor officiating.
Burial will follow at Robinson Family Cemetery in Latonia Community of Brazoria, Texas.
She passed away Sunday, July 28, 2002 at Kindred Hospital Houston N.W.

Survivors include two sons, Leroy Robinson, Sr. of Little Rock, Arkansas and Louis Robinson, Sr. (Bonnie) of Clute; four daughters, Virgie Robinson Fisher of Brazoria, Carolyn Green (Darrell) of West Columbia, Beverly Marshall (Don) of Angleton and Brenda Terry (Ray) of East Bernard; 22 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Leroy Robinson, Jr., Louis Robin-son, Jr., Robert Lewis, Jr., Gregory Lewis, Don Marshall, Jr., Melvin Robinson, Pinkney Robinson, Jr. and Walter Robinson, Jr.
She was a member of Greater St. Paul Baptist Church.

Dorothy Elizabeth Crane Davenport
She was born August 22, 1919, to Ruth Marie Ferguson Crane and Walter James Crane of Freemont, Minnesota.
She died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 83.
Dorothy came to work in Houston, as a young woman. There, she met Joseph Jean Davenport, a young engineer with the Shell Oil Company. She was married to Joe for 57 years. They lived and raised their family in Houston. At retirement, they moved to Fredericksburg, Texas, where Dorothy had an antiques business. After her husband’s death, Dorothy lived in Houston. The family is grateful for her daughter, Joan Lindbeck’s loving care of Mother during her extended illness. She died with all her children at her bedside.
She is survived by her sister, Janet (Wally) Fruland of Denver, Colorado; her daughters, Susan (Mike) Sander of Seabrook, Linda (Bob) Meyer of Lewiston, Minnesota, Joan (Larry) Linbeck of Houston; her son, James (Barbara) Davenport of West Columbia; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Georgia Helen Kendrick
Georgia Helen Kendrick, 91, of Clute, Texas, passed away Monday, July 29, 2002, at the Plantation Health Care Center.
Georgia was an area resident for the past 50 years and a faithful member of Wesley First United Methodist Church of Clute. Georgia worked as a seamstress doing alterations for J.C. Penney’s until her retirement.
She is survived by her grandson, Will Davidson of Houston; and one sister, Ruth Russell of Georgetown.
Georgia was preceded in death by her daughter, Francis C. Davidson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 1, 2002, at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Lake Jackson, Texas, with the Rev. Alan Trafford of First Presbyterian Church in Lake Jackson officiating.

Lucille W. Coulter, 79, formerly of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2002.
She was born in Palacios, Texas. She was a retired L.V.N. and a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church.
She is survived by a son, Warren E. Pierce of Palacios; a daughter, Martha E. Pierce of Alva, Florida; thirteen grandchildren; and eight-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 10, 2002, at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church.
Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2002, in Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, Texas.

He was born Sunday, August 15, 1954 in Houston, Texas and passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2002 in Houston, Texas.

Survivors include his son, Marcus J. Wilson, Jr. of Angleton; daughter & son-in-law, Melinda & Melvin Mack of Ft. She was born Friday, June 9, 1922 in Fort Worth, Texas and passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2002 in Angleton, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 2, 2002, at Baker Funeral Home in Brazoria.
She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. She and her husband, Clifton, owned and operated Martin Linen Supply in Houston until 1966, when they sold the business and moved to Brazoria, where they purchased the Trailriders Inn. Together, they operated the Trailriders Inn until Clifton’s death. Shortly after his death, she sold the business, but continued to live in Brazoria.
Survivors include her sister & brother-in-law, Mildred & J.W. Clay of Mineola; special friends, Bell Jowell of Brazoria and Bill Thomas of Brazoria; four nieces, one nephew; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Mable Howell; husband, Clifton Erskine; and brother, Robert Howell.
Pallbearers will be Terry Brown, Albert “Chink” Cook, Bo Goolsby, Bobby Goolsby, John “Jaybo” Jowell and Gene Livance.

Funeral services for Vinc Joseph Prihoda, Jr., are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 2, 2002, at St. Cyril Methodius Catholic Church in Damon, Texas.

Vinc was born in Ellinger, Texas, to Amalie & Vinc Joseph Prihoda, Sr. on March 2, 1923. He served in the United States Army during WWII.
Vinc passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2002, in a Houston hospital.
Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, Willie Prihoda, Jerry Prihoda, Emil Prihoda and Johnny Prihoda; and sister, Pat Dines.
Survivors include his brothers, Eddie Prihoda & wife, Henrietta of Danbury and Frank L. Prihoda of Rosenberg; sisters, Lillian Miculek of West Columbia, Ellie Havlik of Angleton, Marie Svoboda of Damon and Bettie Rab of Angleton; and 33 nephews and nieces.

David Luis Nava, 6, passed away Monday, July 29, 2002, from an accidental drowning.
David was born May 9, 1996 in Galveston, Texas. He attended kindergarten at Sweeny Elementary School.
He is survived by his mother, Serena Nava of Rivers End; one sister, Marissa Nava of Rivers End; grandparents, Wayne & Jaime Koks of Rivers End; two uncles, Paul Koks of Houston, and Glenn Koks of Clear Lake.
