Davie Conrad Jackson, Jr.
Davie Conrad Jackson, Jr., 59, was born in Mexia, Texas, on October 27, 1942 and passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 31, 2002, after battling cancer for two years.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 2, 2002, at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday August 3, 2002, at Angleton Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Davie Conrad & Billie Elizabeth Jackson of Grand Prairie, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Judy Jackson; two daughters, Tracey Jackson and Dena Bryson & her husband, Leslie, both of Angleton; sister, Connie Matthews & her husband, Lester of Watauga; brother, Mike Jackson of Waco; two grandchildren, Chelsea and Zachary Bryson; and numerous nieces, neph-ews and extended family and friends.

Bobby Lawrence Crim
Bobby Lawrence Crim 67, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away Monday evening, September 16, 2002, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bob was born July 17, 1935 in Van, Texas. He graduated from Van High School in 1953, and he married his high school sweetheart, Sandra Carter in 1955. He attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 1957, with a mechanical engineering degree. He was first employed with Lonestar Steel Company in Dangerfield, Texas until 1965; he then worked for The Dow Chemical Company from 1965 until his retirement in 1993. He and his family spent 10 years living in England and Korea. During this time, the family had many great times together traveling throughout Europe and Asia.
Bob was a faithful member of the Lake Jackson Church of Christ, where he had many friends. He had a great love of life, family and friends, which he showed continuously. He had a special love for his grandchildren and attending their school functions, baseball and soccer games. In his retirement, he enjoyed golfing, traveling, and superhuge buffets.
Bob is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra; three children: Greg Crim and wife, Laura of San Antonio, Brad Crim and wife, Donna of Lake Jackson, Vicki Perkins and husband, David of Lake Jackson; seven grandchildren: Rebecca Louise Crim, James Lawrence Crim, Jonathan Everett Crim, Melissa Ann Muszynski, Nicole Marie Muszynski, Taylor Perkins, and Joe Beth Perkins.
His parents, Ivy Lawrence Crim and Vada Elizabeth Crim preceded him in death.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, September 18, 2002.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 19, 2002, at Lakewood Funeral Chapel with Chris Benjamin officiating and long time friends Jim Gentil and Waiford English assisting.
There will be a viewing at Hilliard Funeral Home from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. with a memorial and graveside service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 20, 2002, in Van, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Joe Bolin, Carmon Carter, Randy Carter, Ronnie Carter, Ardeen Crim, Jimmy Fox, Jack Kellam, Joe Phillips and Taylor Perkins.
Honorary pallbearers are Jim Gentil and Jim Moore.

James “Buddy” T. Hargrove
James T. “Buddy” Hargrove, 85, of Angleton, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2002.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 19, 2002, in the First United Methodist Church of Angleton, with Revs. Fred Carter & Matt Mathews officiating.
Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery.

Buddy Hargrove was born August 15, 1917 in Crockett, to Jeff & Mae Reed Hargrove. He was a WWII Army Air Corp Veteran, and had been an Angleton resident for 49 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he had been a member of the choir for many years. Buddy was very active in community volunteer work.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Billy; three brothers: Charles, John & Bill Hargrove & sister: Opal Jones.
Survivors include his wife: Myrtle Hargrove of Angleton; daughters: Reba Johns & husband, Russ of Pearland, Linda Purdom & husband, Jim of Friendswood, & Jimmie Lynn Hargrove of Angleton; brother: George Hargrove of Crockett & sister: Esther Yates of Conroe; five grandchildren: James Warren & wife, Missy, David Warren & wife, Teal, Jay Purdom & wife, Michelle, Joel Purdom & wife, Marie & Julie Mangham & husband, Wade and seven great-grandchildren.

Maria Aurelia Abilez, 58, of Clute, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2002, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. at Stroud Funeral Home with Bro. Sonny Bowman, officiating.
Interment will be at Angleton Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. to service time.
Maria Abilez was a 31-year resident of the Brazosport Area.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years: Victor Abilez of Clute; daughter: Christina Sharp and husband, Todd of Richwood; sons: Victor M. Abilez and wife, Delia of Lake Jackson and Ricardo A. Abilez of Clute; sister: Raquel Gaytan of Matamoras, Mexico; grandchildren: Marlena Abilez, John Aynsley Abilez, Tabitha Sharp, Lauren Sharp, Victoria Sharp. Many other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Carlota Garza.

Ruth Ann Humphrey of Pasadena, Texas, passed away at Methodist Hospital in Houston, on Friday, September 13, 2002, at the age of 87.
She is survived by sons: Steven and Holly Humphrey of Houston, Kevin and Sarah Humphrey of Pasadena; daughter: Beth and Anthony Hernandez of Sweeny; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
