H.A. (Red) Lesco
H.A. (Red) Lesco, 78, passed away on September 17, 2002, at his home in Dickinson, Texas.
His loving wife, Betty Lesco; and great-grandson, Cody Lesco, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughter: Lynn Klingenberg; son: Rick Lesco & wife, Debbie; and son: David Lesco.
Also surviving are his grandsons: Shawn Lesco & wife, Shelley, Jeff Lesco & wife, Stefanie, Brad & Matthew Klingenberg; granddaughter: Elyse Lesco and great-granddaughters: Megan & Kayleigh Lesco.
Red was born in Neodesha, Kansas, October 12, 1923, and graduated from Neodesha High School in 1941.
He served with the U.S. Marine Corps in WWII, from 1942 to 1945.
He retired from Amoco Oil Company after 33 years of service.
Red was an avid golfer and member of the Chaparral Golf Club and a devoted family man.
The family will have a Celebration of Life Service, Saturday, September 21, 2002, at 2:0 p.m., at the First Christian Church, 2400 - 21st St, Texas City, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Red and Betty Lesco Memorial Garden in care of the First Christian Church.

Kristy Lynn Birkelbach Jones, age 42 of Pearland, died September 16, 2002, in a Houston hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday at St. John Lutheran Church, 2227 N. Downing in Angleton, with Pastor Preston Weatherly officiating.
Entombment will follow at Restwood Memorial Park in Clute.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 19, 2002, at Palms Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Kristy was born to Reuben and Elnora Harms Birkelbach in Littlefield, Texas, on December 29, 1959.
She was employed by Majors Book Store in Houston, for 15 years.
Her father, Reuben, preceded her in death.

Audrey May Petty
Audrey May Petty, born on June 17, 1912, to William H. and Blanche D. Hunt in Canton, Oklahoma, departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on September 17, 2002.
She has been reunited with her husband, James A. Petty, her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Those awaiting to join her include her daughter, Rita Patton of Lake Jackson; brother-in-law, L.G. Myers of Victoria; her grandchildren: Janice Coursey and husband, Jeff of Lake Jackson; Larry Willson and wife, Laneete of Clute, Jeff Mixon of Sweeny, Audrey Landry and husband, W. W. of Lake Jackson, and Shari Watson and husband, Randy of Nacogdoches.
She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Chapel on Saturday, September 21, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., with Dr. John Hatch of First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson, Texas, officiating.
In celebration of her life, the family will receive friends at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 20, 2002, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Burial will take place Monday, at the Houston National VA Cemetery, where she will be buried next to her husband, James Petty.

Bryan Xavier Rangel, infant son of Paul and Kelley Rangel of Clute, died Wednesday, September 18, 2002, in Lake Jackson.
Surviving Bryan are his parents; siblings: Brandon and Kyera; paternal grandparents: Louis & Juanita Rangel of Clute; maternal grandmother: Angie Villarreal of Lake Jackson, and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather: Joe E. Villarreal and paternal great-grandfather: Genard Rangel.

George C. Kana, Sr.
George C. Kana, Sr., 82, of Palacios, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2002.
He was born October 15, 1919 in Dubina, Texas, to Stephen and Frances Muzny Kana.
He was a resident of Palacios, since 1946, a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, a member of VFW Post 2467 of Palacios, a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, and was a 45-year member of the Palacios Volunteer Fire Dept., serving from 1952 to 1997.
He is survived by daughter: Betty Boyd of Austin; by a daughter-in-law: Barbara Kana of Kerrville; by his sons: Edward J. Kana & wife, Margaret of Lake Jackson, Tony Kana of Palacios, Joe C. Kana & wife, Bobbie of Palacios, George C. Kana, Jr. of Palacios, and Bobby Kana & wife, Dena of Santa Fe; by his sister: Edith Katzfey of San Antonio; and by his brothers: Henry Kana of El Campo and Edmund Kana & wife, Lorraine of El Campo.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Chris & Carl Kana of Lake Jackson, Monica Kana Herring of Houston, Eric Kana & wife, Vanessa of Blessing, Keri Soltow & husband, Jeff of Loop, Texas, Amy Jo Kana of College Station, Lauren Hopkins of College Station, Daniel Hopkins of Austin, Blaine Boyd of Austin, Katelyn Kana of Victoria, Ty Kubena and Hunter Kana of Santa Fe, Kelcie & Ashley Kana of Kerrville; and by his great-grandchildren: Jenna Brook Kana of Blessing and Logan Soltow of Loop, Texas.

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in El Campo, Texas.

Laura Hare Moser
Funeral services for Laura Hare Moser, age 37, of Palestine, will be at 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 20, 2002, at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Brumley and Dr. Stephen Holcombe officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Moser died Tuesday night at Home Place in Tyler.
She was born August 31, 1965, in Freeport, to Bobby and Dianne Masters Hare.
She was a caregiver and had been employed with Community Access.
Mrs. Moser was a Baptist.
She taught Sunday School at Green Acres Baptist Church.
She was a loving wife, daughter, sister and aunt.
Mrs. Moser was a special person in the lives of her family and friends and never forgot a birthday or anniversary.
Mrs. Moser is survived by her husband, Danny Ivan Moser of Palestine, her parents: Bobby and Dianne Hare of Palestine, grandmother: Sylvia Masters of Palestine; a brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Kaori Hare of Columbus, Ohio; and her beloved cat "Conner"; a very special friend, Elizabeth Hartley McLane.

Lonnie Louis “Bubba” Miskell
Memorial services for Lonnie Louis “Bubba” Miskell, age 51, will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2002, at V.F.W. Hall in Sargent.
Bubba was a member of the Sargent Volunteer Firefighters Department.
He was born March 10, 1951 in Houston, Texas, and passed away September 16, 2002.
He is survived by his wife: Henrietta “Hank” Miskell; sons: Damon Miskell & wife: Susan, Kevin Miskell & wife: Chrystal; one grandson: Chase Miskell all of Sargent, Texas; sister: Vicki Frohock of Houston; grandmother: Drucilla Miskell of Houston; uncle: J.R. Goodson & wife: Martha; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & lots of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Billy Jo & Maria Miskell; and grandfather: Lester “Cotton” Lewis.
He will be cremated and his ashes spread on his deer lease in Carlos, Texas.
