Flava Urban, 96, of Cuero, died Thursday, October 10, 2002.
She was born December 25, 1905, in Liberty, to the late Levi and Emma Abel Alexander. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by: husband, Otto Henry Urban; son, O.H. Urban Jr.; parents; and brother, Lee Alexander.

Edgar Breitkreutz
Edgar Breitkreutz, 90, of Cuero, died Saturday, October 12, 2002.
He was born January 21, 1912, in Shiner, to the late Adolph and Johanna Hinerich Breitkreutz. He was a tax assessor-collector for the Cuero Independent School District and the City of Cuero. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
Survivors: wife, Ella Pietsch Breitkreutz of Cuero; daughters, Ruth King of Corpus Christi and Barbara Campbell of College Station; son, the Rev. Vernon Breitkreutz of Boerne; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: parents; sisters, Selma Breitkreutz and Hilda Breitkreutz; and brother, Walter Breitkreutz.

Ida Timme Zengerle
Beloved wife, mother, grand and great-grandmother, Ida Timme Zengerle, 89, of Cuero, died Tuesday, November 26, 2002.
She was born November 15, 1913 in Victoria to the late Robert Albert and Annie Alma Eisman Timme. She married Royal W. Zengerle on November 28, 1935 in Victoria. Ida at one time was owner/operator of Royal's Cafe in Cuero; was a floral designer for Ryan's Flower Shop and always a homemaker. She was a member of the Grand Order of the Sons of Hermann, St. Mark's Lutheran Church and the Martha Group at St. Mark's.
Survivors are husband, Royal, of Cuero; son, and daughter-in-law, Roy T. and Karen Zengerle of Cuero; grandson, Todd Zengerle of Eddy; granddaughter, Laura Zengerle of Abilene; great-grandchildren, Dustin and Kyra Zengerle of Eddy; sister, Elizabeth Stehling of Victoria; and brothers, Oscar and Richard Timme, both of Victoria.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Willie Timme.
Visitation was Thursday, November 28 at the funeral home with funeral services on Friday, November 29, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Cuero, with Rev. Steve Byrne officiating. Burial was at Hillside Cemetery under the direction of Freund Funeral Home, Cuero, (361) 275-2343.

Vieona Schlenker Bishop
Vieona Schlenker Bishop was born on Nov. 21, 1933 in Yoakum, Texas. She graduated from Yoakum High School and attended Business College in Cuero, Texas. She began her life in Del Rio in 1960 and lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, November 24, 2002.
Vieona had a long working career in Del Rio, first retiring from Producers Wool and Mohair after 20 years and continuing to work for another 10 years for TABC at the Del Rio International Bridge.
Ms. Bishop is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Vieona Bishop of Del Rio; brother, Edward Schlenker and wife Agnes; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services were Wednesday, November 27 at the G.W. Cox Memorial Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Brian Spangler officiating. Graveside services were held in Yoakum on Friday at the Hermann-Sons Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the Gilda Radner Familial Ovarian Cancer Registry, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm and Carlto Streets, Buffalo, N.Y., 14263-0001.
George Harvey Luker
George Harvey Luker, 85, of Lockhart, died November 25, 2002.
He was born in Stockdale on August 22, 1917 to the late Edward Harvey and Mimie Ethel McBride Luker. He was a pipefitter and a Pentecostal.
He is survived by daughters, Nancy Sims, Peggy Gossett, Jimmy Lou Richmond, Gaynell Goehring, Kathy Hahn, Debra Mills, and Susan Earp; sons, George Allen, Harvey, James, Billy, and John Luker; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Irene Luker; parents; and daughter, Mary Thornton.
Memorial services will be held at Faith Temple Church in Nixon on Saturday, December 7 at 2 p.m., Revs. Kenneth Mills and David Sims officiating. A private burial will be held at Steele Branch Cemetery in Stockdale. Finch Funeral Chapel, Stockdale, 830-996-3811.

Lorene A. H. Mueller
Lorene Ammerman Henrichs Mueller, 76, of Westhoff, died Thursday, November 28, 2002.
She was born October 1, 1926, in Shiner, to Mary Weeken Ammerman of Moulton and the late Dick Ammerman. She was a beautician and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Westhoff. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Cuero and the American Legion Auxiliary in Westhoff.
Survivors include husband, Adrian Mueller; daughters, Lanette Gips of Cuero and Bonnie Burton of Victoria; sons, David Henrichs of Moulton, Ricky Henrichs of Victoria, and Denis Mueller of Cuero; mother; brother, Melvin Ammerman of Seguin; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by first husband, Edgar Henrichs; son, Ralph Henrichs; and father.

He was born March 8, 1932, in Nordheim, to the late Pedro Sr. and Manuela Alvarez. He was a bar owner.
He is survived by wife, Janie Hilton; sister, Olivia Cano of Temple; and brother, Isidro Alvarez of Nordheim.
He was preceded in death by parents; sisters, Rosita Alvarez, Angelita Alvarez, and Isabel Alvarez; and brother, Pedro Alvarez Jr.

Mathilda H. Kozok, 77, of Yorktown, died Friday, November 29, 2002.
She was born March 14, 1925, in Yorktown, to the late Edward and Sophie Muschalek Danysh.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and Holy Cross Rosary Society for many years. She was a homemaker.
Survivors: daughter, Elizabeth Ann Stebbins of Cuero; sons, Johnnie E. Kozok and James G. Kozok, both of Yorktown, and David G. Kozok of Fargo, N.D.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Charlie E. Cole Jr.
Charlie E. Cole Jr., 68, of Cuero, died Wednesday, January 29, 2003.
He was born December 29, 1934, in Laredo, to the late Charles Edward Sr. and Frances Brown Cole. He was owner and operator of Cole Distributing Company and an Episcopalian. He served in the U. S. Air Force and was a Shriner, a Jaycee, and a Mason. He was a member of the Cuero Golf Association, Cuero Turkeyfest Association, and the Cuero Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors: daughters, Valerie Cole Melson of San Antonio and Vanessa Cole of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; sons, Charles E. Cole III of San Antonio; and two grandchildren.

Gary Ray Estopinal, 48, of Westhoff, died Thursday, January 30, 2003.
He was born January 15, 1955, in Houston, to Joyce Leitz of Friendswood and the late Lloyd Estopinal.
