Elizabeth Hosey, 86, of Cuero, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004.
She was born Aug. 20, 1918, in Cuero, to the late Sterling Grimes and Willie Mae Friar Carter. She was a retired domestic and Baptist.
Survivors: son, Ernest I. Hosey Sr. of Victoria; sister, Anna Mae Giddings of San Antonio; brother, Theodore Willie Carter of San Antonio; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: husband, Elias Hosey.

Frances M. Pargmann
Mrs. Frances M. Pargmann, 92, of Runge, passed away Wednesday, Oct.27, 2004.
She was born March 7, 1912, in Nordheim, to the late Robert Emil and Louise Bues Sucher. She was married to Alfred O. Pargmann for 70 years last year on Nov. 22, 2003. They were married in Karnes City and lived in Runge all of their lives. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Runge and a member of WELCA.
Survivors: husband, Alfred O. Pargmann of Runge; daughters and sons-in-law: Alfreda and Richard Gisler of Runge, Margie and Darryl Dominguez of Harker Heights, and Wilma and Robert “Bob” Ferry of Mission Valley; sons and daughters-in-law, Gilbert and Mary Pargmann of Nordheim, Robert and Virginia Pargmann of Georgetown, and Gerald and Lee Pargmann of Mathis; sisters, Irma Pohl of San Francisco, California, Hertha Forsythe of Yorktown, and Ellie Schendel of Goliad; brother, Gus Sucher of Victoria; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Minnie Sievers, and brothers, Herbert Sucher, Arthur Sucher, and Emil Sucher.
Visitation was held Friday, Oct. 29 at Janssen Funeral Home in Runge and Saturday, Oct. 30 at Lamprecht-Janssen Funeral Home in Yorktown. Services were Saturday at the funeral home, Rev. J.R. Westerfield officiated. Interment followed at Nordheim Cemetery.

Robert S. Junker
Robert S. Junker, 71, of San Antonio, and formerly of Cuero, died Monday, Oct. 25, 2004.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Korea during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired district manager for USAA.
He is survived by his wife, Helen C. Junker; daughter and son-in-law, Katie and David Uechi; son, Timothy Junker; sister, Carol Lucas; brother, Chris A. Junker; and five grandchildren.

Larry W. Keesler
Larry Wayne Keesler, 57, of El Campo, died Friday, November 22, 2002.
He was born November 17, 1945, in Houston, to Lytha Hjort Keesler of Cuero and the late Joe W. Keesler. He was director of Transportation Services at the Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission in Victoria.
Survivors: wife, Martha Keesler of Houston; daughter, Lisa Keesler of Brenham; son, Jason Keesler of El Campo; mother; and sister, Vicki Coppedge of Cuero.
Preceded in death by: father.

Lorenzo Arenas, 91, of Nordheim, died Tuesday, November 19, 2002.
He was born August 10, 1911, in Kenedy, to the late Lino and Paublita Garza Arenas. He was a ranch foreman and a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Kenedy. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors: daughter, Refugia Barrientos of Runge; step-daughter, San Juana Rodriguez of Runge; sisters, Santitos Arenas of Nordheim and Chonita Salazar of Kenedy; brother, Lupe Garcia of Andrews; and four grandchildren.

Irvin W. Hotz
Irvin "Booby" Wesley Hotz, 86, of Thomaston, died Thursday, November 21, 2002.
He was born in DeWitt County to the late Ed and Annie Scarborough Hotz. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a home builder and a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret DeDear Hotz of Thomaston; son, Michael Hotz of Cuero; sister, Claudie Mae Pyka of East Bernard; brothers, Oscar Hotz of Cuero, Bill Hotz of Meyersville, and Jimmie Hotz of Eagle Lake; and two grandchildren, Marilyn and Michael Hotz II.
He was preceded in death by parents; sisters, Eva Range, Ella Adcock, and Sophia Kruse; and brothers, John Hotz and Alvin Hotz.

Wilma Frances Waskow, 89, of Nordheim, died Friday, November 22, 2002.
She was born February 20, 1913, in Garfield, to the late Alvin and Mary Wild Hengst. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Runge.

Lucinda Aldaco Villa, 88, of Cuero, died Sunday, February 9, 2003.
She was born June 23, 1914, in DeWitt County, to the late Christoval and Josephine Henson Aldaco. She was a restaurant cook for Barnes Hamburgers, Retama South Nursing Home and El Camello Restaurant and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Survivors: daughters, Lillie Mae Beltran of Cuero, Eva Flores of Fort Worth and Janie Lechuga of Lubbock; sons, Gilbert Villa of Rosemead, Calif. and Frank Villa of Yoakum; sister, Sarah Salas of Tomball; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Juanita P. Perez
Juanita P. Perez, 52, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2003, at a Victoria Hospital. She was a housewife. Mrs. Perez was preceded in death by her husband, Ramiro Perez.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Vidal and Jessica Perez of Victoria; step-daughters, Nelda Soliz and husband, Benny of Falfurrias, and Enedina Ramirez and husband, Roger of Cuero; brothers, Manuel Pesina, Guadalupe Pesina, and Roberto Pesina, all of Austin, and Mauricio Pesina Jr. of Edinburg; sisters, Raquel Gomez, Dominga Montemayor, Rosa Alvarez, and Jackie Villines, all of Pharr, and Aurelia Aaron of Cuero; one grandson; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Stephen L. Dunn
Stephen Lloyd Dunn, 58, of Bacliff, formerly of Cuero, died Wednesday, February 12, 2003.
He was born April 29, 1944, in Cuero, to Pat and Myrtie Joyce Jackson Dunn of Cuero. He was a computer engineer and a member of Clear Lake Presbyterian Church. He served in the U. S. Army Artillery in Germany from 1966-68. He was a 1969 graduate of Texas A&M with a BA in Zoology, and a 1983 graduate of the University of Arkansas with a BA in Computer Science. He worked for IBM in Houston as a systems engineer supporting the NASA Space Shuttle program, and, more recently, a large point-of-sale system for the U. S. Postal Service. He owned and operated a residential remodeling business and an Internet-based electronic commerce business. He worked for M. D. Anderson Hospital Cancer Research Lab.
Survivors: wife, Carmen M. Amezaga of Bacliff; daughter, Kartina J. Amin of Sarasota, Texas; son, Eric A. Dunn of Bacliff; parents; sister, Dr. Laurie Ann Dunn of St. Paul, Minnesota; and brothers, Blake Dunn of Meyersville and Miles Dunn of Victoria.

Viola Bartram, 85, of Flower Mound, and formerly of Yorktown, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003.
She was born July 25, 1917, in Yorktown, to the late Gus and Hulda Seifert. She was a beautician and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors: son, Gus Bartram of Flower Mound; sister, Lillie Urban of Yorktown; and brother, E. H. Bob Seifert of Victoria.

She was born in Nursery on September 6, 1915 to the late Talton and Annie Carson Granberry. She was a ward clerk at Cuero Community Hospital and a member of the Baptist Temple in Victoria.
She is survived by her husband Samuel M. Bailey Jr. of Cuero; daughters, Myrtice Rangnow of Meyersville and Nelda Meitzen of Portland; step-daughter, Shirley Blohm of Victoria; sons, Eldon Ray Hancock of El Campo and James W. Hancock of Cuero; step-son, S. M. Bailey III of Newark, Delaware; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
