GRANDFALLS - Lea Eva Abernathy, 75, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 1997, at Monahans Senior Health Center.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Grandfalls Church of Christ with Robert Moore and Mike Hardaway officiating. Burial will be in Tamarisk cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
She was born in Brownwood and had been a resident of Grandfalls since 1951. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Janie Branden of Grandfalls and Nancy Christopher of Monahans; brothers, Gene Rose of Denver, Colo., and George Rose of San Angelo; 11 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Linda Rogers
AMARILLO - Linda Gayle Rogers, 49, an employee with the Good Samaritan, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 1997, at her residence.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Sherman Eastland officiating. Arrangements by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors in Amarillo.
She was born in Colorado City, and moved to Amarillo 18 months ago from Odessa.

Sara Simpson
ODESSA - Sara Lee Simpson, 86, a retired teacher, died, Tuesday, Sept. 16, 1997, at her residence.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Hawk officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Caro, Mich., and moved to Odessa in 1947 from Rusk. She was a Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Ray Simpson of Odessa; son, William Leslie Martin of Odessa; daughter, Linda Kay Yeager of Kingwood; brother, Dan English of Michigan; sister, Margaret Sand of Michigan; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Tiofilo Rangel
Tiofilo Rangel, 67, of Odessa died Sept. 17, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

MIDLAND - Anthony Wayne Barber, 28, an oil field and construction worker, of Midland died Thursday, Sept. 18, 1997, at his residence.

He was born in Phoenix and lived in Midland.

He was born in Lake County, Tenn., and moved to Odessa from Mexia in 1979.

ODESSA - H.R. Hagan, 67, a retired Chief Warrant Officer for the U.S. Army, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 1997, at his residence.

He was born in Shallowater and moved to Odessa in 1983 from Dallas.

Euna Harrod
OLNEY - Euna Pearl Harrod, 83, a retired office manager, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1997, at her son's residence.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Bob Crane and Doug Whiting officiating. Burial will be in Restland cemetery in Olney. Arrangements by Lunn Funeral Home in Olney.
She was born in Olney and was a resident of Odessa before moving to Bethany, Okla., in 1992. She was a Presbyterian.

SEMINOLE - Mary Frances Shrimpton Kilcrease, 54, a homemaker, of Stephenville, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1997, at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Gaines County cemetery with Randy Harris officiating. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home in Seminole.
She was born in Brownfield, and had been a resident of Seminole before moving to Stephenville five years ago.

He was born in Aldama, Chihuahua, Mexico.

DE LEON - James E. 'Corky' Moon, 67, a retired Phillips Petroleum Company employee, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 1997, at his residence.

He was born in Desdemona and was a resident of Odessa. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a Baptist.
