ODESSA - Verdie Lucero, 92, a homemaker, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997, at her residence.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Murphy officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
She was born in Red River County and was a resident of Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Ronald Lucero of Las Vegas and George Jeffcoat of Sacramento, Calif.; daughters, Jo Morris of Odessa and Dixie Jeter of Dallas; sister, Syble Van Slyke of Westminster, Calif.; 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren.
Jimmy Ward
ODESSA - Jimmy W. Ward, 60, a bricklayer, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997, at New Horizon Nursing Center.
No services will be held. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
He was born in Eunice, N.M., and was a resident of Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Son, Steve Ward of Lawton, Okla.; daughter, Debbie Ward of Lawton, Okla.

ODESSA - Oscar Curtis Draughan, 66, of Odessa died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

PECOS - Angel Gabaldon, infant son of Miguel and Velma Gabaldon of Pecos, died Monday, Nov. 17, 1997, at Reeves County Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Fairview cemetery with the Rev. Juan Narez officiating. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Pecos and was Catholic.

Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Rosary was held Nov. 18, 1997, at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Vado de Pierda, Mexico and was a resident of Odessa for 57 years. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Salvador Gomez of Odessa; daughter, Carmen C. Gomez of Odessa; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Opal McEachern
SWEETWATER - Opal McEachern, 90, a homemaker, of Sweetwater died Monday Nov. 17, 1997, at Odessa Regional Hospital.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at McCoy Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Lyndel Hix officiating. Burial will be at Sweetwater cemetery. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home.
She was born in Albany and had lived in Sweetwater since 1954. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Lawrence E. Ferguson of Thailand; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and 12 step-grandchildren.
Orarenzia Mathis
ODESSA - Orarenzia Mathis, 92, a homemaker, of Odessa died Modnay, Nov. 17, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Walker Chapel Church of God In Christ with the Rev. J.D. Porter officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Coolidge and had been a resident of Odessa for 47 years after moving from Waco.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Bertha Mae Ray and Sallie Mae Boyd, both of Odessa; and 12 grandchildren.

ODESSA - Pauline Parker, 92, of Odessa died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1997, at her residence.
Services are pending under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Marjory Ballew
ANDREWS - Marjorie Y. Ballew, 78, a homemaker, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 1997, at Permian General Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Andrews Old cemetery with the Rev. H.A. Hanks officiating. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home. She was born in San Angelo and moved to Andrews in 1952 from Levelland. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, John T. Ballews of Andrews; daughters, Susan Maddox of Midland and Kathleen Rea of Houston; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was born in Calvert and had been a resident of Odessa for 26 years.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Climmie Draughan of Odessa; daughters, Gloria Rene Draughan of Los Angeles and Jamie La She Draughan of Odessa; sisters, Ruby Jackson and Doris Christian, both of Denver, Barbara Jean Draughan and Donna Draughan, both of Odessa, and Mary Nell McGahey of Hobbs, N.M.; and brothers, Willie Jones, Sammy Draughan, Robert Draughan, Frank Draughan, all of Odessa; and Billie Don Draughan of Fort Worth.

HARRISBURG, ARK. - James A. 'Jay' Glisson Jr., 48, a truck driver, of Texarkana, Ark., formerly of Odessa, died Monday, Nov. 17, 1997, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Graveside services were held Nov. 20 at Harrisburg Memorial Park cemetery with the Rev. Don Coleman officiating. Arrangements by Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home.
He was born in Marked Tree, Ark., and was Baptist.
