Ralph Rankin Bradshaw Jr.
EASTLAND — Ralph Rankin Bradshaw Jr., 85, of Eastland, passed away Tuesday in an Abilene hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with Dr. Shawn Brewer officiating. Burial will be in the Eastland City cemetery directed by Edwards Funeral Home.
Mr. Bradshaw was born October 20, 1916, at Scranton, in Eastland County, to Ralph Rankin Bradshaw Sr. and Lenora Barbara Harris. He married
Marzelle Wright on March 3, 1940, in Upton County, Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He lived in McCamey from 1940 until 1993 where he and his brother owned and operated an oil well service and production company. After his retirement, they moved to Eastland where he was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur Bradshaw and Edwin Bradshaw; and by a sister, Bernice Buckbee.
Survivors include his wife, Marzelle Bradshaw of Eastland; two daughters, Sandra Kurtin and husband Bill of San Antonio and Micki Hogan and husband Bill of Lubbock; a son, Donald Bradshaw and wife Rosalie of Eastland; two sisters, Eunice Garverick of Las Cruces, N.M., and Flora Mae Hoffer of West Reading, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
Bobba L. Eidson-Jackson
ODESSA — Bobba L. Eidson-Jackson went peacefully to be with her Lord on Aug. 13, 2002, at Hospice House with her loving family at her side.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with Mr. Charlie Jones, elder of Greenwood Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Bobba Lea Jackson was the eldest born to J.M. “Mitch” and Opal Mae Eidson on Aug. 27, 1930, in Ray City, a small community near Maude, Okla. Her family moved to Hobbs, N.M., in 1935, where she grew up and went all of her school years.
Bobba married
Wayne Jackson on June 4, 1949, in Hobbs. Of their marriage, they had four sons; Michael Wayne, Mitchell Lane, Monte Joe and Matthew Lee.
The family moved to Odessa in September 1965. She worked for the Ector County tax assessor-collector for several years and later worked for Dr. J.D. Cone for a number of years.
She made many close and cherished friends during her work years and had so many great memories of her co-workers.
Bobba dedicated her life to Wayne, her sons, their wives and her grandchildren. She always placed everyone before herself during any time of need. Holidays, birthdays and grandkids’ events were so special to her. Her cooking and baking were loved by her family, especially her chicken and dumplings during the holiday season.
Bobba fought and won health battles over the years and was strong to the end of her life. Her dedication and care for her family never ended and she will be missed so much and never forgotten.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Wayne, Joseph Michell, Keaton Monte, Matthew Lee, Chris Jones and Dustin Jones.
Bobba Jackson is survived by her husband, Wayne of their home; and four sons, Michael Wayne and wife Barbara Joy, Mitchell Lane and wife Valerie Ann, Monte Joe and Matthew Lee and wife Sarah Jeanette.
Bobba is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild; Joshua Wayne, Keisha Rachel, Raynie Brooke, Jordan Amber, Lacie Layne, Jenna Ashley, Joseph Mitchell, Keaton Monte, Matthew Lee, Zachary Hunter and Colton Wayne.
Bobba has one sister, Norma Kenyon and husband Aubrey of Midland; and one brother Ronald Eidson and wife Shirley of Alto, N.M. She has many loving nephews and nieces who were very special to her life.
Her family request memorials to Home Hospice, Hospice House and Medina Children’s Home.
Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Allue W. Richardson
ODESSA — Mrs. Allue W. Richardson, 82, a retired domestic engineer, was called home Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today, Aug. 15, 2002, at Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Hanson officiating. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
Mrs. Richardson was born Nov. 1, 1919, in Troup to Leslie and Arsena Hydia Whitmill. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age. Later, she moved to Odessa and joined St. James Baptist Church under the Rev. H.L. Stegar. She married
Leo Richardson Sr. and from this union, six children were born.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; first born child, Mary Louise; husband, Leo Richardson Sr.; two sisters, Lorine Rheams and Thelma Woodard; two brothers, Odis L. Whitmill and Lynell Whitmill; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
She leaves to cherish her memories her sister, Jessie Choice; daughters, Arsena W. Woodard, Mary Blaylock, Stampline Fields and Brenda Richardson, son, Leo Richardson; friends, Pauline Mack and Mrs. Barron; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren along with a host of relatives and friends.
Ethel Mae Woosley
ODESSA — Beloved Ethel Mae Woosley of Odessa went to be with her Father in Heaven at Seabury Nursing Center, at 3:30 a.m. Aug. 14, 2002, after a short illness.
She was born in Sallisaw, Okla., on Dec. 28, 1911, and married
Raymond M. Woosley on Sept. 25, 1935, in Guthrie, OK. They started their lives in Odessa in 1954.
She was preceded in death by her husband who passed away at their home on Sept. 4, 1997, after a lengthy illness. Her mother, father, two sisters and brother also preceded Ethel Mae in death.
Ethel Mae was an active member at the First Baptist Church for many years and served as an Auxiliary Lady at Medical Center Hospital. She enjoyed volunteering whenever she could. She was also the owner of Woosley Fabrics in the 1960s and early 1970s and loved her job dearly. She was a family lady and was known to her grandchildren as “Hanmommie.”
Ethel Mae is survived by daughter, Diane Woosley of Odessa; Steve Sides; grandchildren, Jeff Franks with wife Cynthia of Lubbock, Tracey Franks and Ted Cross, both of Joshua; and great-grandchildren, Colby Franks of Odessa, Garrett Franks of Lubbock, Shawn Cross and Makayla Cross, both of Joshua.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jess Little of Sunset Baptist Church will officiate.

Sy William ‘Bill’ Painter
HOUSTON — Sy William “Bill” Painter, 48, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at a local hospital in Houston.
Mr. Painter was born on May 11, 1954, in Pecos. Bill was a beloved husband, father, son and grandfather and will be remembered for his love and care of his family. He thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors through gardening, camping and fishing and was also an avid sports enthusiast.
Mr. Painter is survived by his wife of 27 years, Debra Lynn James Painter; children, Chad William Painter and wife Mandi, Mechel Renee Painter, Adam Neal Painter and Natalie Priscilla Necole Painter; parents, E.B. and Clarice Painter; sister, Ginny McCarty and husband Danny; grandchildren, Corey, Kayla and Katelyn; and loving mother-in-law, Geraldine James. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. today at The Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Southeast Texas Chapter, 2211 Norfolk, Suite No.825, Houston, TX, 77098-4044.
Andrew ‘Drew’ Thames
ODESSA — Andrew “Drew” Thames, age 24, was born Oct. 13, 1977, in Odessa to Marshall B. and Debbie L. Thames.
He passed away June 11, 2002, in Mannsville, Okla. Drew had been a lifelong resident of Odessa prior to moving to Mannsville three weeks ago. Drew was employed as a derrick hand for a Well Service.
Drew is survived by his parents, Marshall B. and Debbie L. Thames of Odessa; fiancee, Kasey D. Garrett of Mannsville; maternal grandmother, Anna L. Judd of West Plains, Mo.; brothers, Marshall B. Thames II and wife Cherry of Odessa; James H. Thames and wife Lisa of Odessa; Michael S. Thames and wife Toni of Odessa; Eric F. Thames and wife, Melissa of Odessa; 11 nieces and nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Drew is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, S.B. and Mary Cleo Thames; maternal grandfather, Ted L. Judd; paternal great-grandparents, E.G. and Eloise Thames; maternal great-grandparents, Bill and Edith Dykes and George and Marie Judd.

Ellen Call
ODESSA — Ellen Call, age 84, died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Aug. 9, 1917, in Lorenzo.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2002, in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at Fairview cemetery in Pecos.
Mrs. Call moved to Odessa in 1979. She married
Elmer L. Call in January 1960 in Pecos. She was employed as a clerk at a photo shop before her retirement. She was a Catholic.
She is survived by sons, Floyd V. Hughes of Gardendale and Val G. Call of Dell City; brothers, Ed Kelly of Pecos and Kenneth Kelly of Lions, Kan.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gardendale Volunteer Fire Department.

Paul John Ceniceros
ODESSA — Paul John Ceniceros, 29, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2002. He was born Dec. 14, 1972, in Odessa to Mary Ceniceros and Juan Ceniceros Sr.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today, July 26, 2002, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2002, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Serafin Avenido officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill cemetery.
He graduated from Permian High School where he was a member of the Permian High School band and the National Honor Society. He was employed by Jorge’s Restaurant as a waiter.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Ceniceros of Odessa; his father, Juan Ceniceros Sr. of Odessa; brothers, Roy D. Pope and Juan Ceniceros Jr., both of Odessa; his paternal grandmother, Antonia Ceniceros; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Jesse E. Boyd Jr., Roy Pope, Roman Martinez Jr., George A. Boy, John C. Boy, Edward Rodriquez, Daniel Andrade Jr. and Isaiah Chavez.
He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

John Marshall Clark
MIDLAND — John Marshall Clark died Thursday, July 18, 2002, at his home in Taos, N.M.
A memorial service is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2002, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Midland, 3301 Neely, with the Rev. Jeffrey Lamb officiating.
He was born Oct. 12, 1926, to James W. Clark and Anna Paullin in Oklahoma City. A 1949 graduate of Rice University, John worked as an engineer for Stanolind (BP Amoco) and later Hancock Oil and Gas. In 1956, he went independent as president of Chase Petroleum, which merged in 1969 into Kanata Offshore. John managed their Canadian operations in Calgary, Alberta, until 1972 when he moved back to Midland. Until his death, he was president of John M. Clark Inc.
In 1954, he married
Madora Moseley. They divorced in 1966. He married
Rosamaria Ellis of Taos, N.M., in 1983.
He is survived by his wife, Rosamaria Clark of Midland; sisters, Ann McQuilkin of Tulsa, Okla., and Mary Alexander of Taos, N.M.; son, Roger Brian Clark of Midland; daughter, Susan Clark of Taos, N.M.; five grandchildren, Luis Vargas of Taos, N.M., Heather McNeely of Midland, Gable Clark of Oklahoma City, Josh Clark of San Marcos and Amanda Schwisow of Fort Collins, Colo.; three great-grandchildren, Robert Jones Jr., Lacy Schwisow and Zoey McNeely; and numerous other family members.

George Cofer
ODESSA — George David Cofer, 72, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Dec. 26, 1929, in Winnsboro to George Elbert Cofer and Beulah Camp.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years and was a senior master sergeant. He served as a bishop, high counselman, ward missionary and many other offices in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2011 N. Washington Ave.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Alice G. Forbes Cofer of Odessa; son, Wesley Eugene Cofer and wife Cassie of Cleburne; daughters, Paula Jean Ritter and husband James of Gilmer and Brenda Lynn Houtz and husband Floyd of Odessa; brothers, Lyle Cofer and John Paul Cofer, both of Winnsboro; sister, Frances Chambers of Odessa; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Linda Susan Jones
ODESSA — Linda Susan Jones, 53, of Odessa, a retired secretary for Dresser Atlas, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at her residence. She was born Feb. 23, 1949, in Odessa to Winston Evande Jones and Billie Bruce Williams.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today, July 26, 2002, at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Don Frankenhouser of Antioch Christian Church officiating.
She is survived by her brother, Dick Jones and wife Susan of Odessa; two sisters, Cindy Thomas of Odessa and Jani Shroeder and husband Cliff of Odessa; nieces, Christine Griffith, Samantha Shroeder, Susie Kundsen and Jennifer Feeler; and eight grand-nieces and nephews.
