ODESSA — Gordon H. White Sr., 77, 0f Odessa, a gas plant operator, died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
He was born in Cunningham. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Eva Jo White of Odessa; sons, James Curtis White and Mike White, both of Odessa; and Gordon H. White Jr. of Ocean Springs, Miss.; brother, Bill Grimmett of Dallas; sisters, Christine Hilton and Cumi Jacobs, both of Fort Worth; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Rhode Arreola
ODESSA — Rhode Arreola, 55, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at Hospice House.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Apostolic Assembly of Faith in Jesus Christ. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was Christian.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Roman Arreola of Odessa; sons, Omar Arreola and Ezekiel Arreola, both of Odessa; daughters, Arecely Lopez, Blanca Lopez and Rhode Lopez, all of Odessa; brother, Samuel Salcido of Big Lake; sisters, Martha Montes of Wichita, Kan., and Dora Holguin of Juarez, Mexico; and six grandchildren.
Herman Bell
MONAHANS — Herman Oder Bell, 72, of Monahans, a former oilfield worker, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Craig Rhoton officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Family Funeral Services/Jackie Harkey.
He was born in Neshusba County, Miss., and moved to Monahans in the 1950s.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Chris Bell of Monahans; daughter, Pam Carson of Montgomery; brother, Stevie Tew of Forest, Miss.; sister, Blondell Jones of Jackson, Miss.; and two grandchildren.
Joyce Brackeen
ODESSA — Joyce Epperson Brackeen, 67, of Odessa, a retired cook and waitress, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral home.
She was born in Tyler. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, James Huse, Mike Huse and Steve Huse, all of Odessa, Tim Parish of Midland, Gary Brackeen of Devine and J.D. Brackeen of Azle; brothers, Billy Jo Epperson of Loraine, Doug Epperson of Abilene, Charles Epperson of Schartz, Roy Epperson of Ballinger, Jerry Epperson of Burnet, George Epperson of Midlothian, Gerold Epperson of Colorado City and Micky Eperson of Odessa; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-greatgrandchildren.
Walter Bryant
ODESSA — Walter W. Bryant, 75, of Odessa, a retired plant operator, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Harris, Okla., and moved to Odessa in 1962 from Moskogee, Okla. He was Protestant.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Annie Bryant of Odessa; daughter, Toni Gail Manning of Bartlesville, Okla.; brothers, Joseph Bryant of Perry, Okla., and Bert Bryant Jr. of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sisters, Drew Davis and Ann Fine, both of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and two grandchildren.

ODESSA — Patricia Loraine Pasternak, 59, of Pittsburgh, Pa., a hair salon owner and operator, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002, in Odessa.
Services will be at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Griffin Jones and Laura Deadrick officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Torrance, Calif. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Adam Pasternak of Pittsburgh, Pa.; son, Shawn Pasternak of Odessa; brothers, Herbert Graham of Gardendale; Phillip Graham, Terry Graham, Gary Graham, Ray Graham, Charles Graham and Ricky Graham, all of Odessa; sisters, Sandra Gross of Midlothian, Kaye Bryant of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Faye Edminston of Elizabeth, Pa.; and a grandchild.

ODESSA — Cecile Atkinson Ward, 95, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at Hospice House.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Rob Scofield officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Camden, Ark., and moved to Odessa in 1951 from Magnolia.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Ted Ward of Monahans and Sam Ward of Abilene; daughters, Shirley Forrest of Odessa and Lou Lewis of West Columbia; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

ANDREWS — Mae Hudson, 97, of Andrews died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at Andrews Health Care Center.

ODESSA — Kufemia Marquez Alvarado, 62, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at her residence.

She was born in Vado de Peidra, Chihuahua, Mexico She was Catholic.

She was born in Jiang-Hu-Ban, Fujian, China. She was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church.

CRANE — C.S. “Curley” Carey, 87, of Crane, retired store manager, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at his residence.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Crane with the Revs. A.D. Kyle and Stanley Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
He was born in Merkel. He was Baptist.

ALPINE — Jose Aranda Cobos, 67, of Alpine, a cook, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, in a Lubbock hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Sinai United Methodist Church. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Sinai United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Holy Angels cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was born in Alpine.

ODESSA — Larry Dale Erwin, 52, of Odessa, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002.

MIDLAND — Guadalupe “Lupe” Garcia, 49, of Midland, head custodian for Midland Independent School District’s Central Office, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, in his home.
Rosary will be said today at 8 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Primera Iglesia Bautista with the Rev. Ernesto Gil officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview cemetery. Arrangements by Reyes-Garcia Funeral Home.
He was born in Midland.
