Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born in Upshur County and had been a longtime resident of Midland before moving to Odessa in 1998. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Russell J. Huckaby of Concord, Calif.; daughter, LaWanda Brown of Odessa; sister, Christine Bostick of Longview; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

HOBBS, N.M. — Mollie Jo Rice, 68, of Hobbs, N.M., a homemaker, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at Lea Regional Hospital in Hobbs.

Cleo Doss Stringer
ODESSA — Graveside services for Cleo Doss Stringer, age 82, of Odessa, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at Resthaven cemetery in Lubbock with Doug Hale officiating.
Mrs. Stringer was born April 30, 1920, in Bend, Texas, to L.T. and Zula Doss.
She married
Darwin R. Stringer on Nov. 5, 1940, in Clovis, N.M.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She came to Odessa in 1964 from Alpine, Texas.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Darwin Stringer of Odessa; her son, Edwin D. “Tony” Stringer and wife Judy of Odessa; brother, Marvin E. Doss of Aurora, Colo.; two grandchildren, Terry M. Stringer of League City, Texas and Tania Secrest of Pasadena, Texas; and two great-grandchildren.

Harold Lee ‘Papy’ Warneke
BIG SPRING — Harold Lee “Papy” Warneke, renowned for his knowledge and experience in the Permian Basin oil fields, died Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, in Big Spring, Texas.
Warneke had served as General Manager for Robinson Drilling of Texas for 20 years and been an employee of the company for over 45 years.
While still a teen-ager, Warneke began working on drilling rigs after school and on weekends. He stayed in the oil fields his entire career, working as roughneck, floor hand, driller and tool pusher, before assuming the role of General Manager of Robinson Drilling in 1982.
Warneke’s knowledge of drilling techniques and formations and his willingness to share that knowledge with rig crews, engineers and company presidents made him respected throughout the Permian Basin.
His commitment and dedication to his work, his integrity and character and his sense of humor and wonderful stories endeared him to all who worked with him.
Warneke was born in Anson, Texas, on July 7, 1939, to G.B. “Red” and Margaret Warneke. He graduated from Graham High School and attended Texas Tech University.

Lorene Eunice Roemisch on May 28, 1969, in Snyder, Texas, and had lived in Big Spring since 1982.
Warneke is survived by his wife, Lorene; sons, Eric Lee Warneke and fiancée Jennifer Dugger of Big Spring and David Scott Warneke and wife Marivic of Lakewood, Calif; grandchildren, Michelle Warneke and Shanen Lee Warneke; step-grandchildren, Gabby Garza and Kelsey Garza; brother, Bill Warneke and wife Ernie of Los Angeles. Calif.; uncle, Jack Warneke; and aunts, Betty Stroupp of Waxahachie, Louise Sadberry of DeLeon and Bea Simpson of Abilene; as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at the First Presbyterian Church, Eighth Street and North Runnels Street in Big Spring, with the Rev. Flynn Long officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. today at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

MIDLAND - Roy Dennis Clingo, 72, of Midland, a retired employee of GM in England, died Saturday, April 27, 2002, at a local hospital.

He was born in Newton, England. He was an English Army veteran of World War II.
