Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Calvery Church. Burial will follow in the Sanderson cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

ODESSA Vernie L. Snider, 93, of Odessa, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Watkins officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Smithville cemetery in North Richland Hills. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Fort Worth. She was Baptist.

HEREFORD Paul C. Abalos, 66, of Hereford, a retired teacher, co-owner of Abalos Restaurant, school board member and former city commissioner, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, in Hereford.
Prayer vigils will be at 7 p.m. today and Sunday at Rix Funeral Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthonys Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim McGhee officiating. Burial will be at West Park cemetery. Arrangements by Rix Funeral Directors of Herefort.
He was born in Rankin and moved to Hereford in 1962. He was Catholic.
