ODESSA - Mary Louise Johnson, 86, of Odessa died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at her residence.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Fankhauser officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Missouri. She was Christian.
SURVIVORS: Son, Edward Lewis Johnson of Canada; daughters, Lynda Bower of Coronado, Calif., and Sammie Johnson of Odessa; brother Beuford Lewis of Virginia; and two grandchildren.

George Journeay
ODESSA - George Edward Journeay, 83, of Brady, former owner of Triple A Roofing and Acoustics, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2002.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Leatherwood Memorial Chapels of Brady.
He was born in San Angelo. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Anna Beth Journeay of Brady; son, Richard Journeay of Brady; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Darlene Newman
MONAHANS - Darlene Byrd Newman, 62, formerly of Monahans, a retired FBI clerk, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements by Family Funeral Services/Jackie Harkey.
She was born in Pecos.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Deborah Wilson of Hurst and Diane Allen of Kaneohe, Hawaii; brother, Jimmy Byrd of Denver City; sister, Wanda Rush of Monahans; and five grandchildren.

Eligha Rigsby
ODESSA - Eligha G. Rigsby, 64, of Odessa, a retired service station attendant, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at Hospice House.
Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Ector County cemetery with the Rev. Bill Tatum officiating. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Bellville.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Eula Beatrice Rigsby of Odessa; daughter, Tonette Rigsby of Odessa; and two grandchildren.

Lewis Smith
SALEM, Mo. - Lewis Singleton Smith, 87, of Salem, Mo., a retired miner, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, in St. Louis, Mo.
Services were Dec. 16 at Wilson Mortuary with the Rev. Phil Newcom officiating. Burial was at the Cedar Grove cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson Mortuary.
He was born in Poteau, Okla.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Shirley Bass of Salem, Mo., Ann May of Odessa and Martha Smith of Surprise, Ariz.; brother, Joe Smith of Bonanza, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

ANDREWS - Alma Dill, 68, of Andrews died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, in Lubbock.

ODESSA - David Firebaugh, 66, of Denton died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at Denton Regional Hospital.

Harold Bonham
ANDREWS — Harold Bonham, 80, of Kermit, a retired maintenance supervisor, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Eastside Church of Christ with Brian McGonagill officiating. Burial will follow at Andrews West cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was born in Brownfield and was a 45-year resident of Kermit.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Evelyn Bonham of Kermit; son, Dwayne Bonham of Fort Stockton; daughter, Phyllis Renz of Fort Stockton; and two grandchildren.

Oscar Jones
ODESSA — Oscar Earl Jones, 81, of Odessa, a retired oilfield truck driver, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Rock Creek, Kan. He was a veteran of World War II. He was Christian.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Anna Jones of Odessa; son, Glenn Jones of Wichita, Kan.; daughter, Pamela Parnell of Austin; and sister, Betty Lewis of Dallas.

Tamzie Koopman
EUNICE, N.M. — Tamzie Ayers Koopman, 45, of Jal, N.M., died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2002, in Lubbock.
Memorial services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Brunson Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Daryl Micham officiating. Arrangements by Brunson Funeral Home.
She was born in Bryan. She left Odessa in 1995. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Bill Koopman of Jal, N.M.; sons, Tra Koopman and Elex Koopman, both of Jal; and sister, Diana McElvany of Granbury.

Robert McCarty
LUBBOCK — Robert H. McCarty Sr., 96, of Lubbock, a retired doctor, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002.

KERMIT — Netta Norton, 78, of Kermit, a homemaker, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, at Kermit Health Care Center.

She was born in London.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Vernon Norton of Ulysses, Kan., John Norton and Michael Norton, both of Kermit; daughters, Wendy Jones of Kermit and Mary Walker of Odessa; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Esperaza Ramirez
FORT STOCKTON — Esperaza Ramirez, 42, of Alpine, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002, in Alpine.
A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Fort Stockton. She was Catholic.
