Paulino San Miguel

ODESSA - Paulino San Miguel, 17, a student at the Career Center, died Tuesday, Dec. 9 as the result of an automobile accident.

Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. David Espitia officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rosehill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Elgin, Ill. He was a Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Parents, Juan Jose San Miguel and Irma San Miguel, of Odessa; brothers, Johnny San Miguel and Freddie San Miguel of Odessa; sister, Sandra San Miguel, of Odessa; grandparents, Bernicia Trejo of Lubbock, Antonio San Miguel and Dominga San Migual, of Odessa.

Robert Watson

ODESSA - Robert 'Bob' M. Watson, 83, a retired postal worker, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 1997, at Heritage Oaks Nursing Home in Corsicana.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. Dr. David Mindel officiating. Burial will be at Ector County cemetery.

He was born in Odessa and was a member of the First Christian Church.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Elba Watson of Corsicana; son, William Kyle Watson of Balmorhea; daughters, Colene Frost of Odessa; Charlotte Collie of Harlingen; Marion Lou Cook of Corsicana; sister, Alline Reed of Upland, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Vernon Johnston

ODESSA - Vernon L. Johnston, 70, of Odessa died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Maybelle Drinkard

ANDREWS - Maybelle Drinkard, 84, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997, at the Andrews Health Care Center.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Gunter officiating. Burial will be at Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

She was born in Brownwood and moved to Andrews in 1991 from Bovina. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Dovie A. Turner and Totsy Hatley, both of Andrews; Lola Mae Parson of Bovina; sons, John Drinkard of San Angelo; Elmer Drinkard of Comanche; Earl Drinkard of Ranger; Bobby Drinkard of Farmington, N.M.; brothers, R.L. Barron and T.J. Barron, both of Brownwood; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

John Young

CRANE - John Marion Young Sr., 73, a retired oilfield truck driver, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997, in the Crane Care Center.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.

He was born in Basile, La. and had been a resident of Crane for three years.

SURVIVORS: Son, John M. Young Jr. of Crane; step-son, Ronnie E. Waldon of Odessa; sisters, Mildred DeBarge and Clair Doucet of Basile, La.; and four grandchildren.

Kelli Hill

ODESSA - Kelli Jean Hill, 28, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997, at her residence.

Services are pending under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Bobby Craig

FOREST, Miss. - Bobby E. 'Bob' Craig, 62, a retired welder, of Pulaski, Miss., died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997, at Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Jackson, Miss.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Ott and Lee Chapel with the Rev. Doyle Boyles officiating. Burial will be in Homewood Methodist cemetery in Homewood, Miss. Arrangements by Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Inc.

He was born in Homewood, Miss., and lived in Odessa 24 years before moving to Homewood.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Martha Plumlee Craig of Homewood, Miss.; sons, Bobby Craig Jr. of Homewood, Miss., and Clint Todd Craig of Forest, Miss.; brothers, George Craig of Lake Arthur, La., and James Craig of Hohenwald, Tenn.; sister, Ann Proctor of Trenton, Miss.; and four grandchildren.

Winnie Riley

STEPHENVILLE - Winnie Riley, 86, a retired garment manufacturer machine operator, died Friday, Dec. 12, 1997, at Harris Methodist Hospital in Stephenville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in Lingleville East End cemetery. Arrangements by Stephenville Funeral Home.

She was born in Lampasas County and lived most of her life in Erath County.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Loyd Riley and Tommy Riley, both of Stephenville; daughters, Edna Fielden of Denver and Elaine Woodley of Odessa; brother, Nolan Lane of Evant; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Leonard Arnold

COLEMAN - Leonard 'L.D.' Arnold, 91, of Odessa, a retired sales representative for R.J. Reynolds Co. and Martin Glover Co., died Friday, Dec. 12, 1997, at his residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Masonic graveside services will follow at Voss cemetery in Voss. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Homes of Crane and Stevens Funeral Home of Coleman.

He was born in Coleman County and moved to Odessa in 1964.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Estella Arnold of Odessa; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Brillhart of Perryton; sons, James L. Arnold of College Station and Jesse Arnold of Canyon; sister, Jetta Havlik of San Angelo; and three grandchildren.

Fred Barnett

NEW IBERIA, La. - Fred John Barnett, 89, of New Iberia, La., retired owner of City Tailors in Odessa, died Friday Dec. 12, 1997, at a Lafayette, La., hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with the Rev. Albert J. Boumans officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Evangeline Funeral Homes Inc. in New Iberia. Burial will be at Holy Family Mausoleum with military services conducted by V.F.W. Post 1982. Arrangements by Evangeline Funeral Homes Inc.

He was born in Frankfurt, Ind., and moved to New Iberia in 1980 from Odessa. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Stella Ackal Barnett of New Iberia.

Elwood Bennett

OLNEY - Elwood Bennett, 70, of Kermit, a self-employed oil producer, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 1997, in Kermit.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Lunn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Allen officiating. Burial will be at Restland cemetery in Olney.

He was born in Olney and moved to Kermit three years ago from Wichita Falls. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Assembly of God Church.

SURVIVORS: Son, Roger Bennett of Dallas; sister, Helen Wright of Bentonville, Ark.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

D.C. Harrill

ODESSA - D.C. 'Doc' Harrill Jr., 78, of Odessa died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997, at his residence.

Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
