ODESSA — Cathy Ragsdale, 44, of Odessa, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Kathleen Cameron
ODESSA — Kathleen Cameron, 84, of Odessa died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Sept. 27, 1918, in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, in the Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel. Funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Francis Frey officiating. Burial will follow in the Ector County cemetery.
Kathleen was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Catholic Women’s Organization, and auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary. She had lived in Odessa for 19 years after moving from Dearborn, Mich. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alex, son Wallace, sister Margaret McNabb, and brothers, Joe, Bill, Jack and Dan.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Cameron of Odessa and Mary Knorr and husband Tom of Odessa; and grandchildren, Nicholas Knorr, Jennifer Knorr and Katie Knorr.
Services entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Joe Bradford Ervin
ODESSA — Joe Bradford Ervin, 87 years of age, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at his Odessa residence.
He was born April 9, 1915, in Tulia to Thomas and Myrtle Ervin. Mr. Ervin has been in the community since 1934, leaving only to serve his country in the Air Force. For 18 years, he was owner and operator of Ervin Plumbing until his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Charles and Thomas Ervin, sister, Billie Victor, a granddaughter, two grandsons and three wives.
Surviving are his daughter, Betty Garvin and her husband Pete of Odessa; brother, Jerry and wife Connie Ervin of Odessa; sister, Frances Gerdes of Arkansas; grandchildren, JoEllen Ball of Dayton and Trina Roper of Odessa; great grandchildren, Dayna Ball, Marion Ball and Brad Ball, all of Highlands, Trey Johnston, Tara Roper and Justin Roper, all of Odessa; six great-great-grandchildren; four stepdaughters; two stepsons; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation will be today from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Odessa Funeral Home. Military graveside service is set for Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at 10 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Johnny Thomason officiating.

De Alma Densman Fain
BROWNWOOD — De Alma Densman Fain, 75, longtime resident of Odessa and formerly of Brownwood, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002. She was born April 2, 1927, in Rising Star. She was a Baptist and a homemaker.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Brownwood, Texas. Interment was at Blake cemetery in Brown County.
Survivors include two sons, Steven Fain and wife Debbie of Billings, Mont., and Jeff Fain of Odessa; sister, Flora Densman Harwell of Brownwood; niece, Betty Harwell Inglet of Lake Brownwood; nephews, Jerry Wayne Harwell of Bastrop and David Dee Harwell of Stillwater, Okla.; and a number of great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, John Fain Jr., her parents, Dave and Viola Donica Densman, and one brother, Abe Densman.
Services entrusted to Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

Lois Hoskins
WINK — Lois Stringer Hoskins, 92, passed away and was lifted by the wings of angels to our Lord above Monday, Dec. 16, 2002. Visitation for Lois Hoskins will be Friday, Dec. 20, in Monahans at Heritage Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 21, 2002, at the Wink First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Redwine officiating. Burial will be at the Kermit cemetery under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home.
She was born May 6, 1910, in Tipton, Okla., to John Stringer and Minnie Sutton. She married Charlie P. Hoskins April 17, 1926, in Lawton, Okla. In 1927, they moved to Wink. They owned and operated several businesses in Wink including Charlies Recreation Hall, Phillips 66 Service Station and The Justice Hotel. Lois also worked for several years in Kermit at Winklers Department Store. She was particularly proud of her lifetime membership to the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. No. 6248 in Kermit.
Charlie preceded her in death in 1974. She then moved to Monahans to be with her son Bud Hoskins and sister Gladys Gigoux. Lois was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, her sisters and brothers, her son Bud Hoskins, and her granddaughter Debra Kay Hoskins.
Survivors include her two sons, Donald Hoskins of San Antonio and Jerold Hoskins of Willis; grandchildren, Leslie Barnes of Midland, Diana Hoskins of Willis, Royce Hoskins of Roswell, N.M., Mike Hoskins of Hawaii, Clifford Hoskins of Fort Worth, Brad Hoskins of Victoria, Becky Houser of Cyprus, Van Hoskins of Lake Texacoma, Stacey Hoskins of Fairfield and Didi Hoskins of Corsicana; and 14 great-grandchildren. Her pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are Jesse Abila and Joe Gallander.
The family is especially thankful to Complete Home Health in Midland for their dedication and care; Dr. Shylesh Ganta and his staff for their compassionate care of the elderly; and Hospice House of Odessa for providing such a comforting home during her last days.
For many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Lois was and always will remain Mammy. She will always be loved, never forgotten and always cherished.
Services are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home.

Catherine Iaderosa
ODESSA — Catherine Josephine Iaderosa, 81, of Odessa died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at Hospice House. She was born Oct. 14, 1921, in New York, N.Y., to Phillip and Lillian Uckele.
Rosary will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, in the Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel with Father James Bridges and Father Charles Vogel officiating. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. She will be missed for her sweetness, strength and kindness.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew Iaderosa of Odessa; daughter, Kathy Schlegel and husband Tom of Odessa; sons, Rudolph Cherney and wife Kathy of Middletown, N.J., and Thomas Cherney and wife Monica of Tom’s River, N.J.; sister, Dorothy Martin of West Haverstraw, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements under the direction of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Ollie Ann Norman
ODESSA — Ollie Ann Norman, 55, passed from this life Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002. She was born to James Orear and Bonnie Elizabeth Babcock Orear Aug. 30, 1947, in Hickman, Ky. Ann came to Odessa in 1959 and later married Billy Ray Norman Sr. March 18, 1969, in Big Spring. Her church membership was Assembly of God. Her pastimes included crocheting, fishing, helping with the elderly and spending quality time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her daddy, Raymond Smith, and her younger brother, Sherman Ray Head. She is survived by her husband, Billy Ray Norman Sr. of Odessa; son, Billy Ray Norman Jr. of Austin; daughters, Becky Truelock of Odessa and Melissa “Lisa” Anderson of Gatesville; mother, Bonnie Elizabeth Smith of Odessa; brother, Norman Wayne Head of Odessa; sisters, Alice Marie Head of Odessa, Patty and Sheryl of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Lashawnda, Cody, James, Bobbie, George, Kim, Raymond, Danella, Devon, Shawn and B.J.; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Reverend Thompson will be officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Jimmy Lee
ANDREWS — Jimmy Lee, 87, of Andrews died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, in Andrews.
Services are pending with McNett Funeral Home.

James Lynn “Lyndy” Sims
ODESSA — James Lynn “Lyndy” Sims, went to be with his heavenly father on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002. He was born October 22, 1920 in Sonora to John Mauldin & Montie Ray Crowell Sims.
He graduated from Menard High School in 1941 and entered the Navy. He served 11 years in the service to his country. In 1956 he came to Odessa and went to work for the Odessa Fire Dept. He worked for the OFD for 33 1/2 years, retiring in 1985. He began as a rookie and worked up the ladder to Fire Marshal.
Lindy married Ruth I. Clinger Walker on June 18, 1977 in Odessa. Lindy and Ruth were avid camping and traveling enthusiasts, traveling the USA and Canada from coast to coast. Lindy also enjoyed music and photography. He and Ruth also were genealogists and spent a great deal of time searching for the roots of their families.
Lindy is survived by his wife Ruth, his step children, Dewey L. Walker of Odessa, Glenda R. Wright and husband Kenneth of Odessa, nephews Dan Pullen, Frank Walston and Richard Weaver, nieces Patricia DeLof and Bobbie Jean Davies.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to Odyssey Home Care.
Special thanks to Nurse Marilyn and Cheryl (CNA), friends and those special members of the Odessa Fire Dept. who cared so lovingly for Lindy.
Lindy is preceded in death by his father, James Mauldin Sims, his mother Montie Ray Smith, sisters Amanda Gene Swindle and Cecile Weaver.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church. Dr. Griffin Jones will preside. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be firemen with whom Lindy worked.
Services are under the care of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Sally Ann Cole
ODESSA — Sally Ann Cole was born on Sept. 3, 1941, in Durant, Okla., to Hasell and Vesta Hudspeth. Sally passed away peacefully at her residence on Sept. 18, 2002.
Sally married R. Dale Cole on June 15, 1963, in Jal, N.M. She worked for El Paso Natural Gas Co., El Paso Products Co. and Noel Investments over a 34-year period. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Humane Society.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Cole of Odessa; brother, John Hudspeth and wife Jan of Shawnee of Oklahoma; and nephew, Bobby Hudspeth and wife Kathy of Louisville, Ky.
Pallbearers will be Bill Trout, Darvin Cox, Jim Seward, Joe Hensley, Dane Widner and Don Young.
Funeral services will be held at Noon Saturday, September 21, 2002, in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. Cheryl Homsher officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Odessa or a charity of choice.
Services have been entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Gene Riley Nettleton
ODESSA — Services for Gene Riley Nettleton, 88, are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at 3 p.m. at the First Methodist Church with the Revs. Steve Trout, Blossom Mathews and Griffin Jones officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Nettleton died Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Hospice House after a lengthy illness. She was born to Theophilus and Bonnie Riley on Oct. 20, 1913, in Slocomb, Ala. She moved to Odessa with her family in 1932. She married Theron S. Nettleton at the Odessa Methodist parsonage on Sept. 15, 1934, with Rev. Mims officiating.
Mrs. Nettleton was a homemaker and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and was a caterer for over twenty years. Mrs. Nettleton was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. She was a charter member of the Fidelis Sunday School class of the First Methodist Church, and held every office, being president several times. She was also a member of the Pioneer Study Club, The Old Timers, the Order of the Eastern Star and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
She was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings; also her daughter, Nana Cloud and granddaughter, Robbie Hall. She is survived by her daughter, Therona (Roni) Hampton of Odessa; three grandchildren, Scott Hampton of Odessa, Cheryl Weiczorek and husband Jim of California; and Vicki Callison and husband David of California; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to be made to First Methodist Church of Odessa or Home Hospice of Odessa.
