Pearly Gates
A poem written in remembrance of George Wilburn Bugg
By Ashleigh Bugg
Pearly Gates are opening wide
to beckon this cheerful spirit to come inside.
All who came before him gather near,
and there is much laughter and cheer,
Though those who are left on Earth are sad and in a daze,
we know he is up in heaven worshiping God with honor and praise.
And though we all say we wish we had him with us for one more day,
we know, as he looks down on us from above,
he looks with tender, heart-warming love.
