ANDREWS - Ellen Robinson, 87, of Andrews died Saturday, March 1, 2003, in Andrews.
Services are pending with McNett Funeral Home.

Sidney Bell
BIG SPRING — Sidney R. “S. R.” Bell, 87, of Big Spring, an oilfield worker, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at the Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez Veterans Home.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Shelley officiating. Arrangements by Myers and Smith Funeral Home.
He was born in Alabama. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Son, Sidney Bell of Odessa; daughters, Sandy Graham of Colorado City and Jena Clark of Midland; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Valentina Tarango
ODESSA — Valentina Munoz Tarango, infant daughter of Raul Tarango Jr. and Jackie Munoz of Odessa, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at Odessa Regional Hospital.
Graveside services were February 18 at Ector County Babyland cemetery with the Rev. Rosarion Hill officiating. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
SURVIVORS: Parents; grandfathers, George Munoz and Raul Tarango Sr., both of Odessa; and grandmothers, Maria Munoz of Odessa and Blanca Chavez of Zapata.

Richard Aguilar
STANTON — Richard Q. Aguilar, 64, of Marfa died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003.
Services are pending with Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.

Gilly Brijalba Jr.
HOBBS, N.M. — Gilly B. Brijalba Jr., infant son of Gilly and Kimberly Brijalba of Hobbs, N.M., died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, at Lea Regional Medical Center.
Services are pending with Duncan-May Funeral Home.

T. Scott Greenroad
ASHDOWN, Ark. — Terry Scott Greenroad, 51, of Ashdown, AR, was called home Feb. 28, 2003. A son, brother, uncle, nephew, or cousin to some, but a friend to us all.
Scott was born July 12, 1951 in Odessa, TX, and was a member of the Belmont Baptist Church. He was an Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam Era. He loved hunting, fishing, and nature. Scotty was a 29-year member of The Last Few Motorcycle Club.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Stafford Greenroad who departed this earthly estate Feb. 28, 1988.
He is survived by his mother, Alice Greenroad of Ashdown, AR; one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Jimmie Kyle of Ashdown, AR; two brothers and sister-in-laws, Melvin A. and Doris Greenroad of Radcliff, KY, and Ronald J. and Candace Greenroad of Seminole, TX; seven nieces and nephews, Yvette Kerr, Michelle Bush, Carin Petrosky, Brian Greenroad, Angel Holland, Joey Greenroad, and Jimmie Kyle Jr.; 9 great nieces and nephews: Brian II, Nicholas, Scotty, Dakotah, Josie, Caleb, Ashlen, Seth and Megan, along with many other family members and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held March 4, 10 a.m. at Madden Funeral Chapel in Ashdown, AR, with Bro. George Scarborough officiating. Pall bearers were Buster, R.D., Bull, Norman, Doug, Bruce, Goodnight, and Ben. Honorary pall bearers were Brian Greenroad, Ron Kerr, Jimmie Kyle Jr., Matt Holland, Scotty Bush, David Petrosky, and Joey Greenroad. Followed by burial in Plain Dealing, LA. The Last Few Motorcycle Club provided a motorcycle escort for Scott‘s last ride to Plain Dealing. He will be missed by all! His free spirit will forever ride like the wind.

Ola Irene Kowacich
ODESSA — Ola Irene Kowacich was called to heaven to be with our Heavenly Father, her family and friends Thursday, March 6, 2003. She was born May 3, 1925, in Holland, Texas, and has lived in Odessa since the 1950’s. Irene was preceded in death by her mother, Ester Dillard; and father, Vandeveur Dillard; of San Angelo, Texas.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Colster of San Angelo and many nieces and nephews who she loved very much. She is survived by her children, daughters, Jean Tullous of Odessa, Darlene Garrett of Odessa, Brenda Robertson of Kenner, La., Jo Mays of Pampa, Rebekah Wyatt of Odessa; sons, Nathan Kowacich of Atlanta, Ga., and Daniel Kowacich of Odessa. She is also survived by her sons-in-law, Kenneth Wyatt of Odessa and Fred Mays of Pampa, Texas; and daughter-in-law, Donna Kowacich of Odessa; her grandchildren, Jennifer Mays of Waco, Texas, Paige Kowacich of Irving, Texas, Laura Garrett, David Garrett, Tammy Tullous, Larry Tullous, Teresa Tullous, Amanda Toney, Ashlea Kowacich, Candace Perry and Victoria Perry, all of Odessa; and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2003, at Northside Baptist Church, 100 West 50th Street, Odessa, Texas, where she was a long time member with Pastor Clydell Chapman officiating. Graveside services will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services have been entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Our mother was a wonderful Christian woman who devoted her life to raising her family and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Amparo Lujan
ODESSA — Amparo Lujan, 52, beloved mother, wife, grandmother and friend went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at Baylor University Hospital in Dallas.
She was born to Pilar and Quirino Matta August 25, 1950, in Pecos, Texas. Amparo worked for the Ector County Independent School District Food Service for 17 years.
Amparo fought a long, tough battle with liver disease. Even in the most difficult phases of her illness, she made jokes and laughed heartily in her unique way.
She was a very loving caring person. She loved people and people loved her. In the last years of her life, she dedicated herself to making and distributing rosaries. She made and gave away 1,138 rosaries. She smiling gave away her rosaries everywhere she went including hospitals and churches.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Mario Lujan; her son and daughter-in-law, Lupito and Rhonda Lujan; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Rene Garcia of Midland; her sister, Anita Matta; brother, Frank Matta of Dallas; and her beloved granddaughter, Amanda Lujan of Odessa. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2003, at Martinez Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2003, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Fathers Gilbert Rodriguez and Michael Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.

Seibert T. ‘Bud’ Ott
MIDLAND — Seibert T. “Bud” Ott passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at home.
Bud was born February 29, 1924, in Grandfalls, Texas, to Herman and Anne Murry Ott. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Fred, and three nephews.
He served in the United States Coast Guard in Honolulu, Hawaii, during WWII. Bud had been a cowboy all of his life and was known to many as “The Legend”. He had worked many ranches in his lifetime. Some in the Grandfalls area being, the Edwards, Tubbs, McElroy and Estes. Bud was a 29-year member of The American Legion, Woods W. Lynch Post No. 19 and also a member of the VFW #7208, both of Midland. He belonged to the Senior Team Ropers Association, was a lifetime member of the United States Team Roping Association (USTRC), Rope American Inc. and the Original Team Roping Association. He worked for Mobil Oil as a roustabout and truck driver for 30 years, having moved to Midland County in 1951. On December 31, 1954, he married Shirley Murphy at his parents home in Grandfalls.
Bud is survived by his wife, Shirley, and one son, S. Thomas Ott Jr. both of Midland, TX; one brother, Robert Ott of Hobbs, N.M.; two sisters, Christine Tucker and Iva Weston, both of Marble Falls, TX; granddaughter, Amber McDonald; three great-grandchildren, Victoria, Nicholus and Benjamin McDonald, all of Richmond, TX; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his last faithful horse, Sam.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 7, at Ellis Funeral Home in Midland between 6 and 8 p.m. Graveside services have been scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2003, at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Joe Bob Duncan, Travis Kiehne, Mike Duncan, Tom McCain, Lee Glover and Buster Dickey. Bud’s other roping buddies and friends are to be honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bud’s memory, which will benefit the West Texas Expo Center, may be directed to Shirley Ott at her residence in Midland.

Louise McCann Toler
STEPHENVILLE — Louise McCann Toler, 89, of Stephenville went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 6, 2003, at Harris Methodist Hospital. She was born February 5, 1914, in Erath County, Texas. She was a homemaker.
Services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2003, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at West End Cemerty. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Louise is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Joann and Charles Pierce of Iredell and Joyce and Jim Burnett of Weatherford; her son and daughter-in-law, Marvin Burt “Happy” and Helen Toler of Stephenville; granddaughters, Donna Wilcoxon, Robin Simpson and husband, Cleve, Patty Brawner and husband, Dewayne, Cindy Finley and husband, Billy; grandsons, Charles Davis, Mark Dowell and Lane Christopher Davis; great-granddaughters, Jennifer Fain, Kandace Simpson, Christiana Brawner, Abigail Brawner and Casey Finley; great-grandsons, Brandon McKinney, Justin Dowell, Charlie Davis, John David Davis, Jeremy Talbert, Clint Simpson, Andrew Brawner, Charles Lane Davis and Derek Wilcoxon; sisters and brother-in-law, Allie Haley of Fort Worth and Dorothy and Richard Gryder of Timberon, N.M.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy and Janette McCann of Santo and Melvin and Dorothy McCann of Brownwood; special friend and ‘adopted’ granddaughter, Kim Baccus; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital Charity Cross, 411 N. Belknap, Stephenville, Texas 76401.

Garland Lewis Chesshir
BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. — Garland Lewis Chesshir, 74, of Blue Springs, Mo., died Saturday, May 31, 2003, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. He was born August 16, 1928, in Quanah, Texas.
He was a member of Cornerstone Church, Blue Springs, Mo. He worked for the Rexene Company in Odessa, Texas. He loved all sports and being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was married to Sandra Steele Chesshir March 21, 1964.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at Cornerstone Church at 301 SE AA Highway, Blue Springs, Mo. Burial will be at Missouri Veterans cemetery on Wednesday, June 4, 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Chesshir of Blue Springs, Mo.; sons, Kurt Edwards of Odessa, Texas, and Daniel Chesshir of Blue Springs, Mo.; brother, J.D. Chesshir of Amarillo, Texas; and grandchildren, Brittany Briggs, Neil Chesshir, both of Blue Springs, Mo., and Sabra Warriner of Spokane, Wash.
Services entrusted to Webb-Freer Funeral Home.

Thelma ‘Lassie’ McNabb
GOTHA, Fla. — Thelma “Lassie” McNabb, 75, of Odessa and formerly of Jamesburg, N.J., passed away Sunday, June 1, 2003.
She was born August 31, 1927, in Kinston, N.C. She was a housewife and attended Asbury United Methodist Church.
Mrs. McNabb is survived by her daughters, Susan Pellino and husband, Bill, of Robbinsville, N.J., and Tracy Campbell and husband, Randy, of Odessa, Texas; and her grandchildren, Amanda Schechter, Sarah Pellino, Ryan Campbell, Jeremy Campbell and Andrew Campbell.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Arrangements by Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home of Orlando, Fla.

Isabel Almaguer
MIDLAND — Isabel B. Almaguer, 49, of Midland, a homemaker, died Saturday, May 31, 2003, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cotton Flat Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Reyes Funeral Home.
She was born in San Antonio Del Bravo, Chihuahua, Mexico.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Santos Almaguer of Midland; sons, Moses Almaguer and Eric Almaguer, both of Midland; daughters, Catarina Nava of Midland and Alma Brehm of Casa Grande, Ariz.; brothers, Dolores Baltazar of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Speedy Baltazar of Corcoran, Calif., Moncerrato Baltazar of Lubbock and Ramon Baltazar of Midland; sisters, Andrea Robles and Socorro Baltazar, both of Midland, and Carmela Tavarez of Ojinaga, Chihuahua; and five grandchildren.
