She was born in Sunset and moved to Odessa in 1949 from Junction.

Joe Mike Karr
ODESSA — Joe Mike Karr, 43, a longtime resident of Odessa, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 9, 1959, in Stanton. He attended Odessa schools. He was a welder for Western Tank for several years. He loved fishing, hunting, bowling, boating and skiing.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Lynn Karr, and his grandparents.
He is survived by his parents, Joe and Gloria Karr of Odessa; sons, David Karr of Coppell and Michael Karr of Odessa; sister, Sharon Thompson of Odessa; two nieces, Mizti and Sabrina; nephew, Ray; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2003, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will be at 4 p.m. at the Resthaven cemetery in Menard.
