HOBBS, N.M. — Hector Manuel Jimenez, 48, of Andrews, owner and operator of HMJ Oilfield Services, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Helena Catholic Church in Hobbs, N.M. Burial will be in Prairie Haven Memorial Park in Hobbs, N.M. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, and moved to Andrews in 1991 from Hobbs. He was a member of Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Dolores Jimenez of Andrews; son, Eric Salazar of Lubbock; daughters, Christine Carrasco of Slaton, Lisa Ann Castaneda of Odessa and Laurie Martinez of Andrews; mother, Lucia Villalobos of Hobbs, N.M.; brothers, Jose Luis Jimenez of Andrews and Mario Gonzalez of Gilbert, Ariz.; sisters, Virginia De Hoyos of Puebla, Mexico, Graciela Lopez and Maria Scott, both of Hobbs; and five grandchildren.

ODESSA — Russell M. Johnston, 76, of Cloudcroft, N.M., a retired salesman, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, in New Mexico.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Second Baptist Church. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Coleman.

Susana Nickel
SEMINOLE — Susana Nickel, 21 months, of New More died Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at her residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Rienlander Mennonite Church in Seminole with Bishop Henry Reimer officiating. Burial will be at the Gaines County cemetery South. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.
She was born in Mexico.

Neva Eaton
ODESSA — Funeral services for Neva Eaton, 69, of Odessa will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2003, at the Sunset Memorial Chapel with Rev. Clark Racca officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Eaton passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at the Medical Center Hospital after a courageous battle with reoccurring cancer. She was born June 17, 1934, in Whitesboro, Texas, to Glen and Kathleen Foster. She and Joe Eaton were married
March 3, 1951, in Lovington, N.M.
Mrs. Eaton attended Odessa High School and graduated as a Licensed Vocational Nurse from Odessa College in Kermit. She worked as an LVN for 17 years in Kermit until retirement in 1988. She enjoyed going to Ruidoso, NM and church. She also loved her grandchildren and enjoyed crocheting for them. She was a resident of Kermit for 48 years and moved to Odessa in 1997. She was a member of the Christian Church of Odessa and a former member of the Christian Church of Kermit.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Cathy Pawkett and husband Donnie of Austin; son, Danny Eaton and wife Darlene of Sonora; sister, Shirley Emerick of Odessa; four grandchildren, Brandi Pawkett, Jamie Gibbons, Justin Eaton and Kara Eaton; two great grandchildren, Zane and Elizabeth Gibbons; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers for the funeral service include Carroll Pike, Billy Jack Dunn, Milton Ruhl, Vearl McDaniels, Bert Frost and Leslie Phillips. Honorary pallbearers include: Cecil Odom, Steve Johnson, David Patterson and Ed Howarton.
Alan Wayne Paschal
ODESSA — Alan Wayne Paschal, 50, of Midland died June 24, 2003. He was born March 5, 1953, in Jefferson City, Mo., to Melvin B. and Esther Voss.
Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Odessa with Father Mark Woodruff officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Paschal was an accountant and a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Midland. He married
Marilyn Bishop, December 27, 1972, in El Paso County. He referred high school football, was a Little League Coach and was a member of the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Paschal of Midland; sons, Jason Paschal of Odessa and James Paschal of Midland; parents, Melvin and Esther Paschal of Odessa; grandmother, Clara Paschal of Linn, Mo.; sisters, Sandra Paschal of Odessa and Susan Dodgen of Dodge, Texas; grandchildren, Vanessa and Amber Paschal.

Patricia McCutcheon
ODESSA — “He was not the Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.” John 1:8.
On the day of June 24, 2003, our sister, Patricia June Williams McCutcheon, went to the home of our Lord.
Patricia was born on June 15, 1958, in Odessa, Texas, to Billy and Josephine Williams. She graduated from OHS in 1976 and continued her education at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX. Patricia received two degrees while at TWU, a Bachelor’s in Business, and a Bachelor’s in Biology. She returned to Odessa after graduating in 1984 and worked for Texas Workforce Commission for 12 years.
Patricia married
Stanley Ray McCutcheon on December 3, 1988, in Odessa. Together they had two children, Carole and Shawn McCutcheon. The children were her pride and joy. She loved them dearly.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 11 years, Stanley Ray McCutcheon; her parents, Josephine Perez Williams and Billy Mack Williams Sr.; and her mother-in-law, Carole McCutcheon.
She is survived by her children, Carole Josephine McCutcheon, and Shawn Michael McCutcheon; her brother, Billy Mack Williams Jr. from Venus, Texas; sisters, Sheila Williams and fiancé, Jason Jackson, and Deloris Williams; father-in-law, J.R. and Patricia McCutcheon; her sisters-in-law, Gina and Evalina McCutcheon, all of Odessa; uncle, Arnold Perez of San Angelo; many cousins; and her “special” dog, Candy.
The family would send special thanks and appreciation to all the staff at Seabury Nursing Center. Also a very special thanks to our families, friends, and doctors who helped Patricia throughout her life.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 27, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Family visitation will be Thursday, June 26, 2003 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

ODESSA — Edd Alvin Tyler, 67, of Odessa passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born in Borger, Texas, to Emmitt and Agnes (McKay) Tyler on December 13, 1935.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 27, at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Services entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

He graduated from Odessa High School in 1955 and attended UTEP (Texas Western) on a football scholarship. He served two years in the US Army. He retired from Sims Plastics in 2002 after working there for 12 years. He enjoyed woodworking as his hobby.
Edd was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mack Tyler, and sister, Truvy Ann Heath.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Tyler of Odessa; son, Tommy Mack Tyler and wife, Amy Elaine, of Garland; stepdaughters, Debbie Haechten of Linden, Elaine Kemp and husband, Richard, of Watauga; brother, Emmitt Tyler and wife, Maxinne, of LaVernia; sisters, Grace Pettus of Odessa, Lillie Mae Washburn and husband, Roland, of Odessa, Ruth Patterson of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Tate Tyler of Garland, step-grandchildren, Jared Haechten of Wills Point and Jessica Haechten of Wagener, SC.; “The Girls” Mitzi and Penny; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Chris Pope
ALBA — Christopher Jordan Pope, age 12, of Alba, Texas, passed away June 16, 2003, at his residence in Alba, Texas.
He was born November 10, 1990, in Dallas and lived in Alba all of his life. He attended Alba-Golden Junior High School and was president of the student council, on the A-Honor Roll and played baseball and basketball. He was a member of the Alba Church of Christ and was baptized April 7, 2003.
Interment was Thursday, June 19, in Alba, Texas.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandfather, Calvin Pope.
Survivors include his parents, Edward and Brenda Van Zandt Pope, Alba; brother, John Pope, Alba; and grandparents, Kathy O’Neal, Alba; Raymond and Shirley Van Zandt, Odessa; and Jeanice Sewell, Mineola.

OJINAGA, Chih., Mexico — Dulces Nombres Salcido, 77, of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at Iglesia Catolica De Tierras Nuevas in Ojinaga, Chih., Mexico.
Burial will be at Panteon de Tierras Nuevas in Ojinaga. Local arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.
He was born in La Haciendita, Texas.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Margarita Salcido of Ojinaga; daughters, Juana S. Ramos of Odessa, Guadalupe S. Aguirre and Elsa S. Aguirre, both of Ojinaga; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Charles Wells
MARFA — Charles Marlowe Wells, 74, of Marfa, died Friday, June 20, 2003, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Marfa cemetery with the Revs. Duncan Parish and Joe Cordova officiating.

He was born in El Paso. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
