MIDLAND — Norma Hallmark, 77, of Midland died Sunday, May 11, 2003.
Private memorial services have been scheduled for a later date. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory of Midland.
She was born in Dublin and moved to Midland from Wink. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church Wink.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Harold Hallmark of Midland; daughters, Melody Cassidy of Midland and Theresa Davis of San Diego, Calif.; sister, Hazel Horseman of Wink; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Bruce Johnson Jr.
EDMOND, Okla. — Bruce Allen “Al” Johnson Jr., 49, of Edmond, Okla., died Friday, May 9, 2003, at his residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Arrangements by Baggerley Funeral Home.
He was born in Arkansas City, Kan.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Marion Johnson of Edmond, Okla.; daughters, Shelly Johnson and Heather Gillham, both of Odessa; sister, Linda Ball of Edmond, Okla.; and two grandchildren.

Alvin Michaelis
EVANSTON, Wyo. — Alvin Leroy “Mac” Michaelis, 83, of Evanston, Wyo., a retired employee of Phillips Petroleum Company, died Tuesday, May 6, 2003, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Graveside services were May 11 at the Evanston cemetery. A memorial service was held at the Purple Sage Golf Clubhouse. Arrangements by Crandall Funeral Home.
He was born in Hill City, Kan. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Elaine Michaelis of Evanston, Wyo.; sons, Jerry I. Michaelis of Odessa and Kenneth L. Michaelis of Lake Skiatook, Okla.; stepson, Sonny Blakeslee of Evanston, Wyo.; stepdaughters, Georgia Harvey and Shirley Smith, both of Evanston, Wyo.; brother, Harold Michaelis of San Francisco, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

MERIT — Carolyn Jean Myers Millsap, 41, of Merit, a buyer for Billiards & Barstools in Carrollton, died Sunday, May 11, 2003, at in Possum Kingdom.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Jester officiating. Burial will be at Sachse cemetery. Arrangements by Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
She was born in Big Lake.
SURVIVORS: Son, Christopher Boykin of the U.S. Air Force; daughters, Summer Chantelle Doyle of Odessa and Mary Faith Millsap of Sachse; mother, Mary Brooks of Clyde; stepmother, Donna Sue Myers of Brownwood; brother, Randy W. Myers of Hurst; sisters, Julie Browning of Houston, Cindy S. Boles of Cisco and Laura Lynn Gregg of Clyde; and one grandchild.

ODESSA — Wesley A. Peters, 44, of Gardendale, a former employee of Tuboscope and Cotton’s Inspection, died Saturday, May 10, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dewey Blevins officiating. Services are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Hobbs, NM.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Adam Peters and Jason Peters, both of Odessa; mother, Pegge Alcorn of Gardendale; brother, Ronald Randolph of Snyder; and sister, Nelda Randolph of Snyder; and one grandchild.

ODESSA - Margie Garrett Burchell, 73, of Gardendale, a former cafeteria worker, died Thursday, May 8, 2003, at her residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Meadow.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Gordon Burchell and Glen Burchell, both of Gardendale; daughter, Donna Baker of Humble; brother, Brudge Garrett of Winston, Ore.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was born in Cumbie and moved to Andrews in 1956 from White Deer. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Means Memorial United Methodist Church.
