MIDLAND - Barbara Nell Awalt White, 72, retired co-owner of White's Grading and Excavating Company, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997, at Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Robinson officiating.
She was born in Carlsbad, N.M. and moved to Midland in 1978.

ODESSA — Jose M. Acosta, 78, of Odessa died Saturday, Aug. 22, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

He was born in Temosachi, Chihuahua, Mexico.

MARFA — Felix "CuateGarcia, 80, of Marfa, a retired ranch hand and employee of the City of Marfa, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 1998, in a Fort Stockton Nursing Center.
Rosary will said at 7 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial with military honors will be at Merced cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Marfa and was a lifelong resident of Marfa. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Catholic.

KERMIT — Willie Lee Jackson, 83, of Kermit, a homemaker, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 1998, at her residence.

She was born in Sontag, Mo. She was Baptist.

She was born in Big Bend and moved to Fort Stockton in 1933 from Ozona. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
