Joseph Michael Ybarra II
ODESSA — On Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, our loving son and brother, Michael, went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ. He was 20.
Michael was born on Feb. 27, 1983, to Mike and Lisa Ybarra. Michael graduated from Permian High in 2001 and had recently finished his second year at Odessa College.
Michael enjoyed life. Some of his favorite things were fishing with his dad and his friends, baseball, playing pool, hunting and just being outdoors. Michael was also very good with cars. The first car he rebuilt was his ’81 Camaro, and his most recent project was working on his Camaro Z-28.
Michael was our son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.
Michael is survived by his parents, Mike and Lisa Ybarra of Odessa; his longtime companion, Jennifer Owens and future child also of Odessa; grandparents, Candy Ybarra of El Paso and Thelma Cooper of Mineral Wells; sister, Crystal Hoskins and husband Chris and their son Mason, all of Odessa; uncles, Richard Ybarra and Jesse Ybarra, both of Odessa, George Ybarra of Plano and Jerry Ybarra of El Paso; aunts, Grace Burrlis of Arlington and Arlene Pruitt of Mineral Wells; and numerous cousins which Michael loved dearly.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Shawn Koonce officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be George Ybarra, Jerry Ybarra, Jesse Ybarra, Chris Hoskins, Mike Moersch and Brooks Robertson.
Services have been entrusted to Frank W Wilson Funeral Directors.

Kelly McKeon
ODESSA — Kelly Lenora Little “Mo” McKeon, 20 years of age, of Odessa passed away in Austin, Texas, Saturday, July 12, 2003.
Kelly’s beginning occurred in Tucson, Ariz., almost 21 years ago on September 23, 1982. Her first eight years of life included a lot of traveling throughout the United States. She spent a lot of her younger years in Maryland, where her grandparents, Billy and Shirley lived. She and her family eventually moved to Odessa, where Kelly would attend school. One of her aspirations as a young girl was to become a child psychologist.
Kelly also enjoyed studying Greek Mythology, Astrology, and many forms of art. Kelly was in the planning stages of marrying Michael Clark, her boyfriend, and talked of moving to Costa Rica to start a family. Michael introduced Kelly to scuba diving, which he did for a living. He had began training her to be a diver and instructor.
Anyone she met was never a stranger. She always saw people for who they were, and had a personality that would draw anyone to know her. She will always be loved and cherished for the things that she taught many of us, she will be missed by all.
She is survived by her father, Rick McKeon of Phoenix, Ariz.; mother, Rachel Guerrero of Odessa; grandfather, Bill McKeon of Maryland; grandparents, Salvador and Mary Guerrero of Odessa; sister, Adrianna McKeon of Odessa; niece, Angelina McKeon of Odessa; aunts and uncles, Roy Guerrero and wife, Catalina, of Odessa, Paz Molinar and wife, Tina Fuentes, of Lubbock, Alfredo Guerrero, Richard Guerrero of Austin, Edward Guerrero and wife, Diana, of Odessa; and several cousins.
Visitation will begin today at 9 a.m. with the family to receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. at Odessa Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2003, at First United Pentecostal Church with Reverend J.T. Pugh officiating. Interment to follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Services by Odessa Funeral Home.

Henrietta Hatcher
ODESSA — Henrietta Hatcher, 83, a retired nurse’s aide for Medical Center Hospital and housekeeper, died Saturday, July 12, 2003, at her home in Odessa, Texas. Miss Hatcher lived in Odessa and was previously from Sulphur Springs, Texas.
She is survived by daughters, Cora J. Scott of Odessa and Mildred Gadlin (Louis) of Commerce; son, Bobby Ray Kelly of Tucson, Ariz.; sister, Ester Faye Ervin of Greenville; grandchildren, Lee T. Wilburn, Kim D. Wilburn and Sandra G. Wilburn, all of Odessa; great-grandchildren, Jaquay Wilburn of Odessa and Nicholas Gadlin and Patrick Gadlin, both of Commerce; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Hatcher, and her mother, Odessie Toliver.
She was born November 5, 1919, in Sulphur Springs, the daughter of Henry and Odessie (Toliver) Hatcher.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Darren Willis officiating. Burial will be at the Ector County cemetery in Odessa.

James Dalton Crawford
ABILENE — James Dalton Crawford, 83, died Sunday, July 20, 2003, at an Abilene medical center.
Mr. Crawford was born to Ernest Joseph and Dorcas (Barton) Crawford on August 2, 1919, in Dudley, Texas, in Callahan County, and was reared in Abilene. He was a 1937 graduate of Baird High School, and received a bachelor’s degree in 1952, and a master’s degree in 1953, both from Hardin-Simmons University. He was a chemist, and retired from Continental Products of Texas after a 30-year career in the oil field. In 1987, Mr. Crawford moved from Odessa to Abilene where he farmed and ranched in Callahan County.
He was a member of Broadview Baptist Church in Abilene and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #1056 and past member of the Masonic Lodge in Clyde. Mr. Crawford was a member of The Young American Chemical Society and a 35-year member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers. He was also a member of Farm Bureau and the HSU Chapter of Alpha Chi.
Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by his wife, Christine (Adams) Crawford, whom he married on March 20, 1943, in Abilene, and his parents.
Survivors include a daughter, Jan Carolyn Martin and husband, Stan, of Newnan, Georgia; three grandchildren, Dana Rene Ashfield of Atlanta, Georgia, Daniel Kent Martin of Hollywood, Florida, and Darin James Martin of Jacksonville, Florida; two great-grandchildren, Connor James Martin and Ashleigh Paige Martin both of Hollywood, Florida; and a sister, Ernestine Greer of Abilene.
Burial will be at 9 a.m. Friday in Dudley cemetery followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with the Rev. David Cason officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Roy H. ‘Happy’ Godbold
MARFA — Roy H. “Happy” Godbold, 83, a resident of Marfa for 58 years, died Sunday evening, July 20, 2003, at his home.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at First Methodist Church in Marfa followed by burial with military honors at Marfa cemetery. Officiating is Rev. Ernie Vineyard.
Mr. Godbold was born September 30, 1919, in Leakey, Texas, to Hubbard and Annie Tom Godbold. After graduating from Marfa High School and Texas A&M University, he served in World War II as a captain in the U.S. Army in the Asian Pacific. He was a rancher and founder/owner of Godbold Inc., a feed mill producer in Marfa. He served on the Boards of Directors of the Cowboy Hall of Fame, Maria National Bank, and Maria Schools.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (Pat) Godbold. They were married June 20, 1955, in Las Cruces, N.M. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include three daughters: Patti Godbold of Maria, Jan Lancaster of San Angelo, Susan Nelson of St. Louis, Mo.; two sons: Carlton Godbold of Lubbock and Paul Godbold of El Paso; 11 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Texas A&M Scholarship Program, Maria Public Library or Meals on Wheels.

D.P. Killgo
DRIPPING SPRINGS — D.P. Killgo, age 90, of Dripping Springs, Texas, passed away Monday, July 21, 2003, in Austin. D.P. was born in Athens, Arkansas, and is formerly of Odessa and Roswell, New Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, LaVeda Killgo; his parents, Wilson and Artie Killgo; one brother and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Aileen Gillis Killgo of Dripping Springs; son, Harold Killgo and his wife, Gwen; daughter, Debi Rodgers and her husband, Mike, all of Roswell, New Mexico; son, Danny Killgo, of Phoenix, Ariz.; sister; Mildred Ward and her husband, Charles, of Roswell, New Mexico. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Casey, Krista and Taylor Rodgers, Michael and Heidi Killgo, Starla Nunez and Tobi Savell; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at Harrell Funeral Chapel in Dripping Springs. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2003, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to a charity of choice.

Carmen Ann Kirby
ODESSA — Carmen Ann Kirby, 74, a longtime resident of Odessa, passed away Monday, July 21, 2003, at Parks Methodist Retirement Village. She was born October 26, 1928, in Chicago, Ill. She was co-owner of Kirby Appliance Co. for 47 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Kirby.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Hill and husband, Tracy, of Odessa; three grandchildren, Chad Waite and wife, Coby, Jason Waite and wife, Lisa, and Casey Waite; four great-grandchildren; Christopher Waite, Destinee Smith, Jared Smith and Kristopher Speed.
The family will meet with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2003, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Owen Sharp officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will be staying at Suzanne Hill’s home.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Charleston Lee Marler
ODESSA — Born on October 10, 1911, Mr. Marler passed this life peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2003. A 40 year-plus employee of Gulf Oil, a WWII veteran, member of the Masonic Lodge and a longtime resident of Odessa, he moved here from Monahans in the early ’70s.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Katherine; and is survived by three daughters, Della Highley of Dallas, Katy Shuler of Kerrville and Marilyn Veatch of San Antonio; one sister, Irene Marler of Dallas; and four grandchildren. Just like the family, was the longtime care and friendship given by the Wesley and Vickie Wilson family of Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24th, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Edith Redman
BIG SPRING — Edith E. Redman, 88, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2003. She was born on September 26, 1914, in Ladonia, Texas, to William F. and Tabitha Cunningham. Mrs. Redman was an 80-year resident of West Texas. She grew up in Howard County, graduated from Big Spring High School in 1933 and married James H. (Jim) Redman in 1939. They retired to Big Spring in 1976. He preceded her in death in 1998.
A graveside service will be at the Peace Chapel in Trinity Memorial Park on Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Teeters, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Bethany Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Redman was also preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and four sisters-in-law, V.L. Cunningham, Floyd and Edna Cunningham, Wiley Cunningham, Luther and Louise Cunningham, Cliff and Corrine Cunningham, A.A. (Toby) Cunningham, Edward Cunningham; and one sister and brother-in-law, Ethel and Ernest Kennedy.
Survivors include one son, James L. Redman of Odessa; one daughter, Joy R. Burnsed of Big Spring; three grandchildren, Tamara B. Needles and husband, Jeff, of Austin, Kimberly R. Brooks and J.B. Redman, both of Odessa; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Nicole Brooks of Odessa and Tyler James Needles of Austin; two brothers, L.D. Cunningham and wife, Mary, of Big Spring, Winfred Cunningham and wife, Jean, of Wichita Falls; sisters-in-law, Elise Cunningham of Big Spring, Ethel Cunningham of Boonville, Arkansas, and Billie Crossland of Granbury; many dear nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Bill Cunningham, Charles R. Cunningham, Donald Cunningham, Ronald Cunningham, Kenneth D. Cunningham and Roe Fulgham.
The family suggests memorials to: Sagecrest Alzheimers Care Center Association, P. O. Box 5661, San Angelo, Texas 76902.

Gary Don Rudloff Jr.
ODESSA — Gary Don Rudloff Jr., 22, of Midland, passed away Monday, July 21, 2003, in Midland.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2003, at Temple Baptist Church in Odessa with Rev. Johnny Thomason officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Harley Melton, Sean Potter, Brian Pinkerton, Brandon Giles, and Marc Rosenberger. Services have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Rudloff was born December 4, 1980, in Odessa to Gary Don and Ethel M. Rudloff. He graduated from Lee High School in 1999, and attended Midland College. He was employed by TMBR/Sharp Drilling.
He is survived by his parents, Gary Don and Ethel M. Rudloff of Midland; grandparents, Gerald and Betty Smith of Odessa, and Jenive Eckloff of Odessa; two brothers, Kenneth Little and Brian Rudloff, both of Odessa; a sister, Shahala Rudloff of Front Royal, Virginia; five uncles, Joseph Dale Eckloff, Earl Eckloff, Ronald Rudloff, Michael Rudloff and Todd Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
He lived life to the fullest. His family loved him with all of their hearts, and he will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
