She was born in Waxahachie and lived in Odessa from 1940 to 1975.

CRANE - Fidel Garcia III, 15, of Crane, a student at Crane High School, died on Saturday, April 26, 2003 in Crane County.

He was born in Rankin and was Catholic.

He was born in Midland. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Charles K. ‘Chock’ Carruth
ANDREWS — Funeral services for Charles K. “Chock” Carruth, 67, of Andrews will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2003, at the First Baptist Church in Andrews with Larry Mobbs of Odessa officiating.
Burial will be in the Andrews Old cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
He died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
He was born October 24, 1935, in Lubbock, Texas, to Charlie Carruth and Ouida Doty Carruth. They moved to Andrews in 1948 from Denver City. He graduated from Andrews High School in 1955. He attended Hardin Simmons University and San Angelo College. He married
Joyce Dru Gardner on July 7, 1956, in Pecos, Texas. She preceded him in death on September 10, 2000. He had owned and operated Chock’s Oil Well Service since 1972. He was involved in ranching, Senior Team Roping Association, and American Quarter Horse Association. He supported the Andrews County 4-H Club and the Andrews Livestock Association. He had been a board of director for the First National Bank in Andrews. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the First Baptist Church in Andrews.
He is survived by his son, Chris Carruth and wife, Becky, of Andrews; daughter, Paula Sommers and husband, Lynn, of Andrews; mother, Ouida Carruth of Andrews; sister, Kendall Robertson of Andrews; four grandchildren, Clif Ward, Casey, Courtney, and Carson Carruth, all of Andrews; and a special friend, Gayle Miller of Andrews.

Bill Dolan
MCCAMEY — Bill Dolan of Girvin, formerly of Big Lake, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2003, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 13, 1938 in Hamilton, Texas, and attended school in Throckmorton.
Graveside services will be held Friday, August 1, at 11 a.m. in Stiles cemetery.
He is survived by a large and loving extended family including his wife, Carolyn of Girvin; two daughters, Laurie Weatherby and husband, Paul, of Fort Stockton, and Marla and Wade Daugherty of Big Lake; brother, Charles “Buzz” Dolan and wife, Satchie, of Del Rio. Grandchildren include Gene Dolan and wife, Mara, of Lubbock, Kyle Daugherty of Big Lake, and Allison and Kayli Weatherby of Fort Stockton; great-granddaughter, Faith Dolan of Lubbock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
“Daddy Bill” loved his family in a very special way. He had a love for the land and work of a true cowboy, he was a true artist. He hand made saddles, reins, headstalls, bridles, leggings and could plait or braid anything. He lived the life of a West Texas Cowboy, breaking horses, trading horses, and day working on area ranches. He lived as a Cowboy should in West Texas and was a true West Texas gentleman.
Pallbearers will be Larry Don Clark, James Faulkner, Rex Carpenter, Kenneth Heritage, Tom Vanderventer and Brad Grady.
Honorary Pallbearers are Ernest Woodward, Bruce Wilson, Todd Hunt, Kim Harrelson, Enoch Smith, Tim Scorky, Bill Brown, Curtis Palmer, Ricky Bud Clark, Earl Wade, Tom Richardson and many other close friends across the country.
The family will greet friends at 1105 N. Georgia prior to the funeral Friday morning.
