ODESSA -- James Roy Zugg Sr., 74, of Odessa, died Tuesday, March 17, 1998, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mark Riley officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Crow, and moved to Odessa in 1937 from Corsicana. He was a World War II veteran. He was as a Baptist.
Survivors: Wife, Rose Zugg of Odessa; sons, James Zugg Jr. and Cavin Wayne Zugg, both of Odessa; daughter, Deborah Cook of Odessa; brothers, Willie Jacob 'Jake' Zugg of Midland, P.V. Zugg of Cairo, Egypt; sister, Addie Petty of Odessa; and six grandchildren.
Violet Anderson
BIG SPRING -- Violet Anderson, 71, of Coahoma, a retired licensed vocational nurse, died Tuesday, March 17, 1998, at her residence.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Elwin Collom officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
She was born in Reyden, Okla., moved to Big Spring in 1951 and moved to Coahoma in 1984. She was a Baptist.

GAINESVILLE -- R.D. Banks, 73, of Gainesville, a retired consultant for an oil company, died Tuesday, March 17, 1998, at Gainesville Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Casey Campbell officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Monahans Memorial cemetery with the Rev. Bill Hatler officiating. Arrangements by Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
He was born in Gainesville and was a former resident of Monahans. He was a Baptist.
Survivors: Daughters, Bernice Banks Denney, Ella Baldree and Geneva Wallen, all of Gainesville; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

EL PASO -- Matilde M. Castro, 83, of El Paso, a homemaker, died Sunday, March 15, 1998, at an El Paso hospital.

She was born in Terlingua and was a Catholic.

ANDREWS -- Lois E. Hurst, 97, of Andrews, a homemaker, died Wednesday, March 18, 1998, at Andrews Nursing Center.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Bob Zap officiating. Burial will be at Eden City cemetery in Eden. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Yuba, Indian Territory (Okla.) and moved to Andrews 20 years ago. She was a member of First Christian Church.

He was born in Monahans and was a lifetime resident of Odessa. He was a Viet Nam War veteran of the Marine Corps. He was a Catholic.
