James Zugg

ODESSA -- James Roy Zugg Sr., 74, of Odessa, died Tuesday, March 17, 1998, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mark Riley officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Crow, and moved to Odessa in 1937 from Corsicana. He was a World War II veteran. He was as a Baptist.

Survivors: Wife, Rose Zugg of Odessa; sons, James Zugg Jr. and Cavin Wayne Zugg, both of Odessa; daughter, Deborah Cook of Odessa; brothers, Willie Jacob 'Jake' Zugg of Midland, P.V. Zugg of Cairo, Egypt; sister, Addie Petty of Odessa; and six grandchildren.

Violet Anderson

BIG SPRING -- Violet Anderson, 71, of Coahoma, a retired licensed vocational nurse, died Tuesday, March 17, 1998, at her residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Elwin Collom officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

She was born in Reyden, Okla., moved to Big Spring in 1951 and moved to Coahoma in 1984. She was a Baptist.

Survivors: Sons, Raymond Anderson Jr. of Ballinger, George Anderson of Odessa; daughter, Lena Gomez of Mission Viejo, Calif.; sisters, Lillie Mae Williams of Jacksonville, Ark., Marie Mayer of Wichita Falls, Twinkle Chitwood of Elk City, Okla., Ruby Anderson of Amarillo; brother, Richard Reed of Elk City, Okla.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

R.D. Banks

GAINESVILLE -- R.D. Banks, 73, of Gainesville, a retired consultant for an oil company, died Tuesday, March 17, 1998, at Gainesville Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Casey Campbell officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Monahans Memorial cemetery with the Rev. Bill Hatler officiating. Arrangements by Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

He was born in Gainesville and was a former resident of Monahans. He was a Baptist.

Survivors: Daughters, Bernice Banks Denney, Ella Baldree and Geneva Wallen, all of Gainesville; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Matilde Castro

EL PASO -- Matilde M. Castro, 83, of El Paso, a homemaker, died Sunday, March 15, 1998, at an El Paso hospital.

Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at Hillcrest Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 11:45 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mount Carmel cemetery. Arrangments by Hillcrest Funeral Home.

She was born in Terlingua and was a Catholic.

Survivors: Sons, Pete Castro, George Castro and Eddie Castro, all of El Paso and Manuel Castro and Juan Castro, both of Los Angeles; and eight grandchildren.

Lois Hurst

ANDREWS -- Lois E. Hurst, 97, of Andrews, a homemaker, died Wednesday, March 18, 1998, at Andrews Nursing Center.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Bob Zap officiating. Burial will be at Eden City cemetery in Eden. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

She was born in Yuba, Indian Territory (Okla.) and moved to Andrews 20 years ago. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors: Daughters, Roberta Nichols of Andrews, Theta Stearns of Tatum, N.M.; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Billy Richardson

ODESSA -- Billy Wayne Richarson, 56, of Odessa, a radiographer, died Tuesday, March 17, 1998, at his residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Odessa Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Ziegler officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. He was born in Coryell County.

Survivors: Sons, Billy 'Wayne' Richardson Jr. of Waco, Steven Richardson of Dover, Del., Dale Richardson of Waco, Shane Richardson of Odessa; daughters, Angela Horn of Corpus Christi, Lisa McFarland of Brady; brothers, Jacob Richardson Sr. of Temple, Jesse Richardson of Tow, John A. Richardson of Gatesville, Harvey Richardson of Brady; sisters, Linnie Cudworth Stevens of Point, Wis., Pansy Ray of Odessa; Virginia Hemson of Gatesville, Pauline Shaw of Brady; and 15 grandchildren.

Judy Trammell

BALMORHEA -- Judy Trammell, 57, of Balmorhea, a school teacher, died Tuesday, March 17, 1998, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Todd Plyant officiating. Burial will be at Balmorhea cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

She was born in Broken Arrow, Okla., and has lived in Balmorhea since 1991. Survivors: Husband, Thomas Trammell of Balmorhea; sons, Dennis Trammell of Waco, Paul Trammell of Oklahoma, Texas; brother, Rufus Ibison of Livingston; sisters, Ethel Davis of Nixa, Mo.; Rosemary Sawbell of Grove, Okla.; and one grandchild.

Eusebio Vega

ODESSA -- Eusebio Prieto 'Chato' Vega Jr., 45, of Odessa, a welder, died Tuesday, March 17, 1998, in Odessa.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Monahans and was a lifetime resident of Odessa. He was a Viet Nam War veteran of the Marine Corps. He was a Catholic.

Survivors: Wife, Anita Vega of Odessa; son, Steven Vega of Odessa; daughter, Monica Vega of Odessa; brothers, Joe Vega of Victoria, Carlos Vega of El Paso, Robert Vega, Jesse Vega, Danny Vega and Ramon Vega, all of Odessa; sisters, Lupe Melendez and Estella Ybarra, both of Odessa; and four grandchildren.

Terry Wooten

ODESSA -- Terry Carl Wooten, 47, of Odessa, died Monday, March 16, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Ector County cemetery with the Rev. David Henry officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Snyder. He was a member of the Assembly of God.

Survivors: Mother, Zelma Wooten of Odessa; brothers, Tom Wooten, James Wooten, Nicky Wooten and Curtis Wooten, all of Odessa, Bill Wooten of Humble, and Alan Wooten of Mesa, Ariz.; step-brother, Dub Keesee of College Station; step-sister, Joyce Keesee of Teneha.

Thelma Pilgrim

ODESSA -- Thelma Pilgrim, 82, of Odessa, died Wednesday, March 18, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Robert Glover

TERRELL -- Robert Henry Glover, 81, of Terrell, a retired mailman in public schools, died Monday, March 16, 1998, at his residence.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Goggans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Davis officiating. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Kevin Strempke officiating. Arrangements by Goggans Funeral Home.

He was born in New Boston.

Survivors: Wife, Adean Brumley Glover of Terrell; sons, Bobby Glover of Terrell and Danny Glover of Wylie; daughter, Dianne Rackley of Tuttle, Okla.; brother, Luther Glover of Groves; sisters, Ruby Bonds of Odessa and Floy Pierce of Paris; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
