FORT STOCKTON — Betty Jo Speck Hopper, 80, of Fort Stockton, a teacher at Balmorhea Elementary School, died Saturday, June 14, 2003, at Pecos County Memorial Hospital.

MIDLAND — James Burton Steed, 88, of Midland, a retired employee of Phillips Petroleum, passed away Friday, June 13, 2003.
