Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Greenfield Acres Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Stamford. He was a member of Greenfield Acres Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Skiles of Odessa; sons, John Skiles and wife, Diane, of Mineral Wells and Jimmy W. WASKOM Ronnie Earl Carter Sr., 47, of Waskom, died Thursday, July 24, 2003, in Greenwood, La.

She was born in Big Spring and was a longtime resident of Monahans. She was Baptist.

FORT STOCKTON Harry L. Thompson, 73, of Fort Stockton, a gas station owner, died Saturday, July 26, 2003, in Fort Stockton.

He was born in Comanche, Okla., and moved to Fort Stockton in 1957.

Jessie Babcock
GROOM Jessie Lorene Babcock went to be with the Lord, May 2, 2003 at the age of 84. Lorene was born Sept. 19, 1918 in Lakeview to Luther and Belle Byars. She married
Frank Babcock on Dec. 5, 1936 in Pampa. He precedes her in death. Mrs. Babcock was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Groom. She had a kind and gentle heart that went out to those around her. Lorene was a wife, mother, grandmother and the matriarch of a large family which her whole life revolved around.
She is survived by two sons, Don Babcock and wife Caron of Amarillo and Ronny Babcock and wife Dee of Pampa; two daughters, Joey Brister and husband Danny and Tommie Zuerker and husband Jack, both of Odessa; sister, Maxine Collins and husband Gene of Amarillo; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; beloved niece Sweetie Costanzi and husband John; and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Pampa. Burial will follow in the Fairview cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Frank. W. Wilson Funeral Directors of Odessa and Carmichael-Whatley of Pampa.
Juanita Bell
Odessa Juanita F. Bell, 66, of Odessa, passed away Friday, May 2, 2003 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born April 26, 1937 in Gladewater. She moved to Odessa with her parents in July 1945. She attended Odessa High School and was valedictorian of her class. She married
Jack Bell on Feb. 9, 1968 in Odessa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Bell, parents, Opsy and Shorty Haarmeyer and brother Herbert Haarmeyer.
She is survived by daughters, Ann Roach and Bobbi Pradon and husband Daniel, all of Odessa; six grandchildren, Corey Pradon and wife Arlene, Todd Pradon, Dena Peacock and husband David, Jehra Haechten, Heather Roach and Kalym Haechten, all of Odessa; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Austin.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2003 at Temple Baptist Main Auditorium with the Rev. Griffin Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Virginia Pitt
Our beloved mother Virginia Murel Pitt, 75, of Odessa passed away on April 26, 2003, at Regency Hospital in Odessa. She will be greatly missed and remembered by all that knew her. She loved dancing, bowling and spending time with her good friends. She was born on Dec. 25, 1927, in Dallas to George Curtis and Francis Myrtle Adds. She was employed with El Paso Products for over 20 years, Yale E. Key Well Services for many years and was a member of Desk and Derrick Club. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday at the Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord in Odessa, with Rev. Richard B. Pitt and Pastor Chris Conner officiating. Burial will be on Tuesday at 2 p.m., in Haven of Memories cemetery in Canton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Burrell, mother, Frances Myrtle Adds, father, George Curtis Adds, and granddaughter, Bethany Farrah Pitt.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She is survived by sons; Michael and wife Pam of Penwell, Richard and wife Jeanne of Thomas, Okla., Marvin Pitt of Orlando, Fla.; sister, Fern Spruiell of Seagoville; grandchildren; Chris Pitt of Houston, Heather and husband William of Austin, Amber Pitt of Dallas, Jarrett Pitt of Penwell, Jennifer Pitt of Orlando, Fla., Robert and wife Shawn Pitt of Orlando, Fla., Jack Pitt of Orlando, Fla., Roxanne Pitt of Orlando, Fla., Winston Pitt of Thomas, Okla., Megan Pitt of New York; great-granddaughter, Haylee Williams; a loving niece Kathy and husband Jim Rogers of Hobbs, N.M.; nephews, Kirk and wife Debbie Spruiell of Cayuga, Odell and wife Misty Spruiell of Seagoville; and her great-nieces and nephews.

Willie Cloninger
Willie Lea Cloninger, 87, of Odessa, died in her residence Saturday, May 3, 2003. She was born July 3, 1915 in Jacksboro.
She married
E.D. Cloninger June 3, 1937 in Brakenridge.
She came to Odessa in 1955 and had been a night watchman for Britt Trucking Company. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church since 1958.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Directors with the Rev. Jeff Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by daughters, Sheila Hunt and Modilyn Lowman, both of Odessa; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters and four brothers.
Sue Erwin
Sue Lorene Erwin, 78, of Odessa, died at her residence Saturday, May 3, 2003.
She was born March 6, 1925 in Pontiac, Okla. She married
Pete Erwin Aug. 20, 1945 in Plainview.
She came to Odessa in 1950. She worked as a nurses aid and in her later years as a private sitter. She was a member of Parkview Church of Christ. Her family expresses a special gratitude to Odessa Hospice Care.
Services will be held at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Charles Jones and Alan Pitt officiating.
She is survived by: sons, Mark and Terry Erwin of Odessa; daughter, Linda Tate of Odessa; brother, Herbert Whelchel of Ada, Okla.; sister, Velma Howell of Seminole, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Erwin; son, Larry Erwin; brothers, Clarence Whelchel, Earl and Arvil Whelcher.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorials be made to Odessa Christian School and Odessa Hospice Care.
