ODESSA — Rooks H. Hallmark, 84, of Odessa, retired owner and operator of Hallmark’s Watch Repair, died Monday, June 9, 2003.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Johnny Thomason officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Tyler. He was a Marine veteran of World War II and a member of Temple Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Bobbie Parisher of Fort Worth; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Bertha McCasland
ROARING SPRINGS — Bertha Lee McCasland, 93, formerly of Odessa, died Sunday, June 8, 2003, in Stanton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Roaring Springs cemetery. Arrangements by Gilbreath Funeral Home of Stanton.
She was born in Okemah, Okla. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, L.P. “Sonny” McCasland of Castroville and Bert Lee McCasland of Uvalde; daughters, Jan Rogers of North Palm Beach, Fla., and Kay Martin of Greenwood; and nine grandchildren.

Gladys Redden
FORT STOCKTON — Gladys E. Redden, 81, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, in Fort Stockton.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be at Fort Stockton Catholic cemetery.
Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
She was born in Slaton and has been a resident of Fort Stockton since 1949. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church.
SURVIVORS: Son, Jimmy Redden of Kerrville; daughters, Loxi Bena of El Campo and Pat Matschek of San Angelo; brother, Floyd Nesbitt of Lubbock; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Fidel Silvas
MONAHANS — Fidel Talaveria Silvas, 62, of Monahans, a retired maintenance worker, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at St. John’s Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Family Funeral Services/ Jackie Harkey.
He was born in Fort Davis.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Hortensia Silvas of Monahans; son, Ruben Silvas of Monahans; daughters, Debra Ramirez of Monahans, Sandra Juarez of Villa Park, Ill., and Susie Silvas of Chicago, Ill.; brother, Eddie Silvas of Midland; sisters, Dolores Najar, Gloria Bustamantes and Lenora Rodriguez, all of Monahans, Ida Gonzales of Fort Davis, and Isabel Dominquez of California; and seven grandchildren.

Fauna Taylor
SEMINOLE — Fauna Sue Gressett Taylor, 42, a homemaker, of Fort Worth, died Monday, June 9, 2003, at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at MS Doss Community Chapel in Seminole with the Rev. Bobby Bates officiating. Burial will follow in Gaines County cemetery.

She was born in Seminole.

ODESSA — Jonathan Edward Viscaino, 12, of Odessa died Saturday, June 7, 2003, in Andrews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Asamblea De Fe En Cristo Jesus with the Rev. Angel Alvarado officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.

He was born in Odessa.

ODESSA — Henry Wojtasek, 89, of Odessa, a lino typist, died Monday, June 9, 2003, at Hospice House.

He was born in Cohoes, N.Y. He was Catholic and served in the National Guard.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Henry Wojtasek Jr. of Claverack, N.Y., and John E. Wojtasek of Peoria, Ariz.; daughter, Patricia Ellis of Odessa; brother, Edward Myskow of Claverack, N.Y.; and sisters, Catherine Coones of Germantown, N.Y., and Helen Leon of Tuckahoe, N.Y.
