SEMINOLE — Sara Redekopp, 73, of Seminole, a homemaker, died Friday, May 23, 2003 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rienlander Mennonite Church with the Rev. Henry Riemer officiating. Burial will follow in the Gaines County cemetery South. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
She also lived in Canada.

STANTON — Estelle Hamilton Stephens, 77, of Stanton, a homemaker, died Saturday, May 24, 2003 in Odessa.

William Johnson
SHALLOWATER — William “Bill” R. Johnson, 65, of Shallowater, a retired employee of Lubbock Department of Public Safety, died July 22, 2003, in Odessa.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Shallowater with the Revs. Walter Goodnight and Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Abernathy cemetery. Arrangements are by Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.
He was born in O’Donnell and was a longtime resident of Shallowater. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Mission in Olton and served in the Navy.

ALPINE — Francisco Milan, 86, of Alpine, a 32-year employee of the City of Alpine, died Thursday, July 24, 2003, in Alpine.
Services will be at 9 a.m. today at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Rick Ruiz officiating. Burial will be at Holy Angel cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
He was born in Terlingua. He was Christian.

ANDREWS — Thad A. Russell, 69, of Andrews died Thursday, July 24, 2003, at a Lubbock hospital.

He was born in Hawley and moved to Andrews in 1980 from Las Vegas. He served in the Navy.

He was born in Alpine and moved to Odessa in 1948. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Eva Rodriguez Chavez
ODESSA — Eva was born in Fort Davis Aug. 4, 1925; following a brief illness gently and peacefully slipped into our Maker’s arms on Aug. 26, 2003, to be by the side of her GREATLY beloved husband Roman. She will be greatly missed by a large and loving family.
She is survived by daughters, Frances Maldonado and husband, Rito, and Virginia Chavez; son, Roy R. Chavez and wife, Cynthia; grandchildren, Mark and Gabriel Maldonado and Irene Carrasco, Chris, Matt and Chelsea Chavez; sisters: Candida Ybarra, Anita Patterson and Aurora Calvert; great-grandchildren, Macy and Stephanie Maldonado, Carissa Carrasco, Donminik Dominquez and Kaitlyn Williams; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by brothers Fred and Henry Rodriguez.

Samuel Edsel Millwee
ODESSA — Samuel Edsel Millwee, 85, of Odessa passed away Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at Hospice House. He was born on Nov. 4, 1917, to Samuel Summit and Nettie Mae Millwee in Sipe Springs, Texas. He married
Bessie Self on Oct. 7, 1948, in Thomaston, Ga.
Mr. Millwee retired from the United States Air Force on July 31, 1963, after 21 years of service to his country, including active duty during both World War II and the Korean War. He later retired from Dart Industries.
His parents, one brother and one sister preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Bessie; his three daughters, Susan Beaty and husband, Rick, of Tampa, Fla., Tina Kent and husband, Kenneth, of Thomaston, Ga., and Judy Williams and husband, Nolan, of Odessa; one granddaughter, Keely Kent; two grandsons, Todd Rasco and Dylan Williams; one great-grandson, Tyler Rasco; and one brother, John Millwee of Midland.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, at Eisenhower Church of Christ with Burt Groves officiating. Arrangements are with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice House of Odessa or to Eisenhower Church of Christ.

ALPINE - Dorothy Madeline Arnold, 83, of Alpine, former owner of the Prescription Shop, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at University Baptist Church. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Restland cemetery in Iraan. Arrangements are by Geeslin Funeral Home of Alpine.
She was a longtime resident of Alpine.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Joe S. Scott of Charleston, S.C., and Claude David Arnold Jr. of Alpine; daughters, Melanie Hays of Austin and Mary Lisa Bynum of Alpine; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mary Ann Wunderl Omar
ODESSA — Mary Ann Wunderl Omar, mother and teacher, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 3, 2003.
Mary Ann was born to Mary and Joseph Wunderl in San Angelo, TX on December 16, 1943.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph; her brother, Joe Wunderl; and her son, Charlie Burks.
Mary Ann was devoted to her own children and to her teaching. She taught in Germany, Seminole, and in Odessa for over 30 years.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church with pastor Kevin Bushart officiating. Interment will follow at 4 p.m. at Belvedere Memorial Park in San Angelo. Services have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
Mrs. Omar is survived by: a son, William Burks of Arlington; a daughter, Rene Burks of Odessa; her mother, Mary Hayes Wunderl and brother, John Wunderl, both of San Angelo; a sister, Adele Waring of Vail, Colo.; several aunts, and numerous friends. Pallbearers will be: Curtis Browning, Bryan Browning, Charlie Strackbein, David Valencia, Scott Tombosky, Mike Lackey, and Brad Berhendt.
