LOVINGTON, N.M. - William Bill Allen, 88, a rancher, died May 3, 2003 at his resident in Virginia Beach, Va.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smith-Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington City cemetery. Arrangements by Smith-Rogers Funeral Home.
He was born in Lovington. He was an Army veteran. He was a Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Olma; daughter, Rita Darlene Smith; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Wayne Light Sr.
MONAHANS - Wayne Light Sr., 62, a retired oilfield salesman, died Friday, May 9, 2003 at Hospice House of Odessa.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Craig Rhoton officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Heritage Funeral Home.
He was born Aug. 1, 1940 in Bradford, Ark.
SURVIVORS: Father, Troy Light of Monahans; son, Wayne Light Jr. of Monahans; daughter, Renee Williams of Wickett; brothers W.R. Light of Big Lake and Dwayne Light of Monahans; and four grandchildren.
James Chism
TYLER - James S. Chism, 78, of Tyler, died Friday, May 9, 2003, at his residence.
Services are scheduled for 1;30 p.m. Monday at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Cathedral in the Pines cemetery. Arrangements by Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors.
He was born in Arkansas. He was an Army Air Corps veteran. He was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Jean Chism of Tyler; daughter, Jill Brashier of Salado; sisters, Nannie Joe Applewhite of Kilgore, Lela Eaves of Tyler and Barbara Shaver of Odessa; and two grandchildren.
Beatrice Chesser
ODESSA - Beatrice 'Marie' Chesser, 76, of Goldsmith, died May 5, 2003.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in San Saba.

She was born in Rancho Piedra Azul, Coahuila, Mexico.

Elvia Reynolds
PECOS — Dr. Elvia L. Reynolds, 79, of Pecos, a retired dentist, died Friday, July 18, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of Christ, 1321 W. Fourth St., with Joe Smith officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Creek cemetery in Jerusalem, Ark. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Jerusalem, Ark. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was on the Pecos Independent School District Board of Directors, and he was a city council member.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Norma Jean Reynolds of Pecos; sons, Randy Reynolds of Pecos and Danny Reynolds of Brownfield; daughter, Gayle R. Britt of San Carlos, Calif.; sisters, Dale Meyer and Dot King, both of Petit Jean Mountain, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

COLEMAN - Bennie C. 'Pat' Whitfield, 80, formerly of Coleman County, an oilfield pipeline construction worker, died Monday, June 9, 2003, in Denver City.

He was born in Coleman County. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
