James Wolfe

MIDLAND -- James C. "WolfieWolfe of Midland died Sunday March 8, 1998, at a local hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Christian Church with Dr. Jim Rudd officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.

He was born in Evant, and was a member of Memorial Christian Church.

SURVIVORS: Son, James Mark Wolfe of Denton; daughter, Anda Elizabeth Thomas of Clinton, Tenn.; brothers, C.R. "CottonWolfe and Seburn Wolfe, both of Breckenridge and Jap Wolfe of Houston; sister, Pebble Corbell of Midland; and four grandchildren.

Tane Bejuiga

ODESSA -- Tane Bejuiga, 87, of Odessa died Tuesday, March 10, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Leo Martin

KERMIT -- Leo D. Martin, 88, of Monahans, a pumper, died Sunday, March 8, 1998, at Baker-Brame Care Center of Monahans.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Kermit cemetery with the Rev. Henry O'Freund officiating. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel, Inc.

He was born in Manningyon, W.V., and was a veteran.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Donna Caldwell of Oklahoma City, Anne Meredith of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and two grandchildren.

Ferd Meyer

BOWLING GREEN, Mo. -- Ferd Meyer, 98, of Bowling Green, Mo., a retired farmer, died Sunday, March 8, 1998, at Country View Nursing Facility in Bowling Green, Mo.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Clement Catholic Church with the Revs. Pat Quinn and Ed Doyle officiating. Burial will be at St. Clement cemetery. Arangements by Kirks Funeral Home.

He was born in St. Louis County, Mo., and moved to St. Clement, Mo., in 1925.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Vera Smith of Gardendale, Clem Porter of Knox City, Mo., Mary M. "MogOrf of Bowling Green, Mo., and Martha Meyer Hoggard of Odessa; sons, Melvin Meyer and Arthur Meyer, both of Bowling Green, Mo.; stepdaughters, Marilyn Schuckenbrock of Bowling Green, Mo., Kathleen Korte of Jefferson City, Mo., and Shirley Traynor of Curryville, Mo.; stepson, Bud Korte of North Port, Fla.; 38 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

O.B. Whiteside

ODESSA -- O.B. Whiteside, 83, of Odessa, a retired building contractor, died Monday, March 9, 1998, at Parks Methodist Retirment Village.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Revs. David Pistone and Scott Seymour officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Stephens County and moved to Odessa in 1939. He was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Laverne Clark of Odessa; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Nora Williams

ODESSA -- Nora Mae Williams, 88, of Odessa, died Saturday, March 7, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services were held Monday, March 9, 1998, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jess Little officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Merkel.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Harold Williams and Cliff Williams both of Odessa; daughters, JoAnn Leatherwood, Sandra Swinney both of Odessa and Jean Lehner of Granbury; sister, Beatrice Thomas of Athens; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Thomas Beasley

ODESSA -- Thomas Lee Beasley, 69, a paint contractor, of Odessa, died Sunday, March 8, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Troy officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Trent City cemetery in Trent. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

He was born in Strawn. He was Baptist.

Survivors: Wife, Cliffa-Jean Beasley of Odessa; son, Matthew Beasley of Amarillo; daughter, Jeana Beasley of Odessa; sister, Francis Wilson of Orlando, Fla. and four grandchildren.

Billie Farris

ODESSA -- Billie June Farris, 74, a retired employee of the Odessa American, of Odessa, died Saturday, March 7, 1998, at her residence.

Services will be held Tuesday at First United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. J.T. Pugh officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Ranger.

Survivors: Son, Jimmie Farris of Odessa and sister, Betty Jean Bridges of Odessa.

Silvestra Garza

ANDREWS -- Silvestra Garza, 55, of Andrews, died Saturday, March 7, 1998, at Permian General Hospital in Andrews.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Sunset Church of Christ in Andrews with Luz Fernando Prado officiating. Burial will be at Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home, Inc.

She was born in Mathis.

Survivors: Sisters, Angelina Carabajal and Guadalupe Garza both of Andrews; brothers, Cresincio Garza Jr., Salvador Garza both of Dallas and Onesimo Garza of Andrews.

Edward Matthews

ODESSA -- Edward Bruce Matthews, 89, a retired service station owner, of Odessa, died Friday, March 6, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rosehill cemetery. Burial will be held at Rosehill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Copperas Cove. He was Baptist.

Survivors: Wife, Leoma Matthews of Odessa; son, Eddie Matthews of Odessa; stepdaughters, Catherine Key of Oklahoma City, Okla., Martha Jones of Houston, Floeddlle Rainey of Odessa and Greta Watson of Odessa; 20 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Mariano Morales

PECOS -- Mariano Morales, 83, a retired fence builder, of Pecos, died Saturday, March 7, 1998 at Reeves County Hospital.

Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Rosary services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Mt. Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

He was born in Ruidoso. He was Catholic.

Survivors: Wife, Ephina Morales of Pecos; son, Ruben Morales of Pecos and daughter, Maria Saldona of Pecos.
