LEVELLAND — Funeral services for Corean Epperson, 93, of Odessa are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2003, at City of Levelland cemetery in Levelland with Wayne Horton officiating.
She passed away Sunday, August 24, 2003, at her residence. She was born February 10, 1910, in Louisiana. Her parents passed away when she was a very young child, so her sister and brother-in-law raised her. She married
Billy F. Epperson in February, 1967, in Monahans. He preceded her in death. She was a clothing salesperson. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, four brothers and a son.
She is survived by her son, Bill Epperson and wife, Sandra, of Odessa; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Dina Keri Braswell-Glover
MIDLAND — Dina Keri Braswell-Glover, 31, of Midland, died Saturday, August 23, 2003, at her residence.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2003, at the Crestview Baptist Church in Midland with Dr. John Gerlach, pastor, officiating. A private interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Midland.
She was born on November 4, 1971, in Garden City, Michigan. She was a great, down to earth person and a very loving mother and wife. Keri lived for her kids and family, her life revolved around her home life. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bryan Glover of Midland; parents, David and Deborah Braswell of Midland; brother, Damon Braswell of Midland, her father and mother-in-law, Bill and Judy Gilliam of Midland; father and mother-in-law, Billy and Donna Glover of Odessa, two daughters; Erinn Glover and Madison Glover of the home, and her maternal grandmother; Shirley Henning of Tuscon, Arizona; and many other relatives and friends.
The family suggests memorials be made to Home Hospice, 901 W. Missouri, Midland, TX 79701.

Roberta Lee Marshall
ODESSA — Roberta Lee Marshall was born August 13, 1915, in Lebanon, Indiana, and died August 23, 2003, in Odessa, Texas. Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6801 East Highway 80, Odessa, Texas on August 26, 2003 at 10 a.m.
Mrs. Marshall, daughter of Ora and Clarence Boone, was reared in Oilton, Okla., graduating high school in 1933. After her marriage to Sam Marshall in November of 1934, they moved to West Texas in 1936. They lived in Royalty, Notrees, and Odessa while Mr. Marshall worked for Cities Service Oil Co.
She was a devoted wife and mother. She instilled in her children a love of music and encouraged them in their education endeavors. Her strong will and determination was embodied in her independent spirit. Mrs. Marshall was an accomplished pianist, playing for various Methodist churches through the years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Sam Marshall; by her parents, Clarence and Ora Boone; and by her sisters, Lucille Boone and Lou Riggs.
Mrs. Marshall is survived by a daughter Sue Bowers of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter Phyllis Zeek and husband, Paul, of Nederland, Texas; a daughter, Marilynn Foreman and husband, Bruce, of San Angelo, TX; and a son, Steve Marshall and wife, Phyllis, of Odessa, Texas.
Other survivors are her brother J.C. Boone and his wife, Estelle, of Odessa, Texas; seven grandchildren, Sharlan Thomas of Albuquerque, N.M., Lance Bowers of Odessa, Texas, Karen Harztler of Boerne, Texas, Leanne Zeek of Irving, Texas, Laura Foreman of San Angelo, Texas, Jeff Foreman of Hewitt, Texas, and Jared Marshall of Odessa, Texas; as well as eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Home Hospice, 903 N. Sam Houston, Odessa, TX 79761; or to a charity of donor’s choice.

George William Hillger III
ODESSA — George William Hillger III, 55, of Odessa passed away Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, peacefully at his home after a brief illness. He was born Aug. 22, 1947, in Fort Stockton, Texas, to George William Hillger Jr. and Gerre Dunmire. G.W. attended schools in Fort Stockton, Monahans, Kermit, Seminole and Odessa. He also attended Peacock Military Academy in San Antonio, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
G.W. was preceded in death by his father, George Hillger Jr. and stepmother, Anita Hillger; along with his mother, Gerre Dunmire Doss and stepfather Lester G. “Red” Doss.
He is survived by his daughters, Lora Lynn Coy of Fort Worth, Texas, Cindy Rae Taylor of Glendale, Ariz.; granddaughter, Taylor Coy; and grandson, Christopher Taylor. He is also survived by longtime companion, Linda McCormick and family.
Kathryn Ina Stickney
ODESSA — Graveside services for Kathryn Ina Stickney, 83, of Odessa are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland with Rev. Dick Brown officiating. She passed away Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, at Hospice House.
Mrs. Stickney was born Feb. 21, 1920, in Encino, N.M. She moved to Odessa in 1999 from Midland. She married
Franklin B. Stickney on Feb. 1, 1943, in Victorville, Calif. Her husband preceded her in death. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Midland. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Ross K. Stickney of Midland; her daughter, Claudia Coggin of Fort Worth; her brother, Lionel Creighton of Batesville, Ark.; her sister, Joy Beard of Abilene; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Brenda Gay Nixon, 48, of Odessa passed away Saturday August 23, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born February 10, 1955, in Menard, Texas.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with J.D. Vaughn officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, James and Mabalee Nixon. She is survived by her husband, Rick Baker of Odessa; sons, Chad Doverspike and B.J. ANDREWS — Cheryl Davis, 56, of Andrews died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Short officiating. Burial will be at the Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Burbank, Calif. She was Baptist.

ODESSA — Viviana Ramirez, 57, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, at her residence.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home.
She was born in Sierra Mojada, Coahuila, Mexico.
She was Christian.

Thurston ‘Rip’ Eggleston
CRANE — Thurston “Rip” Eggleston, 76, of Crane, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2003, in the Crane Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2003, at the First United Methodist Church in Crane with Reverend Larry Krueger and Minister Joe Bullock officiating. A private burial will follow at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
“Rip” was born on November 2, 1926, in Coahoma, Texas. He married
Alma Jo Bond on September 15, 1951, in De Leon, Texas. He was a World War II Army Veteran. He taught at Odessa High School, then worked for Halliburton, and Engine Service in Odessa. Then in 1964 began teaching in Crane and taught at the Crane High School until his retirement in 1988. Rip was a member of the Masonic Lodge number 955 in Odessa; he was a Boy Scout Leader, a Baseball Coach in Odessa and served on the School Board and City Council in Crane. Rip was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Alma Jo Eggleston of Crane; two daughters, Vanetta Hyche and her husband, Charley, of Crane and Lauri Henderson of Odessa; brother, Sterling Earl Eggleston of Ardmore, Okla.; two sisters, Rilda Thompson of Gorman, Texas, and Doris Johnson of De Leon, Texas; three grandchildren, Eric Hyche and his wife, Kris, of Moore, Okla., Kelli Tredaway and her husband, Cody, of Big Spring and Kira Steadmon and her husband, Aaron, of Odessa; four great-grandchildren, Dylan and Averi Tredaway of Big Spring, J.T. Hyche of Moore, Okla., and Nykayla Steadmon of Odessa.
Eddie Uria Pyle
ODESSA — Eddie Uria Pyle, 59, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 20, 2003, at his home in Odessa after a brief illness. He was born on September 15, 1943, in Galveston, Texas, to Clyde and Shirley Pyle. Eddie was a graduate of Ector High School and was employed by Ector County ISD.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Zion cemetery in Apple Springs, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley; a brother, Carrolle; and a sister, Patsy. He is survived by his father, Clyde Pyle of Odessa; a brother, James Pyle of Marshall, Texas, his wife, Shirley; and his children, Joey Pyle of Odessa, Cheryl Driggars of Dallas, Eddie Pyle Jr. of Jacksboro, Lori Hickerson of Shreveport, Louisiana, April Pyle of Center Hall, Okla., Breanna Pyle of Lufkin, Texas, and Benjamin Pyle of Cedar Creek, Texas. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Tommy, Michael and Jay Johnson, all of Oklahoma, Lisa Hack of Savannah, Ga., and DJ Savage of Everett, Wash. He will be missed by his 23 grandchildren!
His amazing ability to repair anything that needed repairing, from a cabinet door to a fifty year old truck, will be remembered and appreciated by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on behalf of his 13 year old son, Joey Pyle, to West Texas Educators Credit Union, 1001 North Lee, Odessa, Texas, 79761.
