Charles Pipes

ODESSA -- Charles Carrel Pipes, 85, a retired utility supervisor, of Odessa, died Sunday, March 8, 1998, at Permian General Hospital in Andrews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Andrews with Dr. H.A. Hanks officiating. Burial will be at the Andrews West cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home, Inc.

He was born in Johnson County. He was Baptist.

Survivors: Wife, Wilma Pipes of Odessa; son, Glenn W. Pipes of Odessa; sister, Faye Cryer of Cleburne; two grandchildren, one stepgrandchild and one stepgreat-grandchild.

Dave Ratliff

ODESSA -- Dave J. Ratliff, 73, a retired pharmacist, of Odessa, died Saturday, March 7, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

No services will be held. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

He was born in San Antonio. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors: Wife, Patricia L. Ratliff of Odessa; daughters, Kathy Brownfield of Fairfax, Va. and Nancy Campbell of Ft. Worth; brother, James Ratliff of Lawton, Okla. and one grandchild.

Lois Ribble

ODESSA -- Lois Idell Ribble, 96, a homemaker, of Odessa, died Saturday, March 7, 1998, at Deering Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rosehill cemetery with Don Turskey officiating. Burial will be at Rosehill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.

She was born in Sherwood.

Survivors: Son, T.L. Ribble of Odessa; brother, Joe Davis of Lubbock; and two grandchildren.

Max Shipman

CRANE -- Max Shipman, 85, a retired employee of the Crane County Road and Bridge Department, of Crane, died Sunday, March 8, 1998, in the Crane Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Crane with the Rev. David Miracle officiating. Burial will follow at the Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.

He was born in Paris. He was Baptist.

Survivors: Wife, Bernice Shipman of Crane; sons, Jimmy Shipman of Crane and Sam Shipman of Odessa; sister, Corinne Campbell of Paris; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Nora Williams

ODESSA -- Nora Mae Williams, 88, of Odessa, died Saturday, March 7, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Sunset Baptist Church with the Rev. Jess Little officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Merkel.

Survivors: Sons, Harold Williams and Cliff Williams both of Odessa; daughters, JoAnn Leatherwood, Sandra Swinney both of Odessa and Jean Lehner of Granbury; sister, Beatrice Thomas of Athens; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Betty Wortham

MONAHANS -- Betty Wortham, 82, a homemaker, of Monahans, died Saturday, March 7, 1998, at her residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Monahans Memorial cemetery with the Rev. David Snyman officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born in Midland. She was Methodist.

Survivors: Nephews, Neely Bingham Jr. of Cloudcroft, N.M. and David Farrell of El Paso.

Marie Andrews

ANDREWS -- Marie Andrews, 80, of Andrews, a homemaker, died Friday, March 6, 1998, at Permian General Hospital in Andrews.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Andrews Church of Christ with John Snider, Bob DuPont and Phillip Thomason officiating. Burial will follow at Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

She was born in Haskell and was a member of Andrews Church of Christ.

Survivors: Daughters, Darla Letherwood of Jacksboro, Nancy Davis of Andrews and Joy Goodwin of Seminole; brother, J.D. McGregor of St. Louis, Mo.; sister, Geneva Day of Andrews; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Evelyn Bradford

KERMIT -- Evelyn Bradford, 79, of Fort Worth, a homemaker, died Thursday, March 5, 1998, at Columbia North Hills.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Kermit cemetery with the Rev. Brian McGonagill officiating. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel, Inc.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors: Sons, Kenneth Bradford of Arlington; daughters, Cathy Menefee of Arlington and Donna Jackson of Fort Worth; brother, Elmo Morton of El Paso; sisters, Nell Chambless of Tyler and Sybil Chew of Dallas; and four grandchildren.

Annie Collins

BALMORHEA -- Annie Loreine Collins, 86, of Balmorhea, a homemaker, died Friday, March 6, 1998, at Reeves County Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Balmorhea with the Rev. Ernest Vineyard officiating. Burial will be at Balmorhea cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

She was born in Coke County and was Methodist.

Survivors: Sons, Richard Hueslter of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Craig Hueslter of Verhalon; daughter, Barbara Harrison of Abilene; sisters, Jessie Harman of Robert Lee, Prudence DuBas of Houston and Madelle Griffith of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Fred Hansler Jr.

RUNGE -- Fred LeRoy Hansler Jr., 71, of Runge, an employment agency owner, died Friday, March 6, 1998.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Rabke Methodist Church with the Rev. Tad Tadlock officiating. Burial will be at Rabke cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Lamprecht-Janssen Funeral Home.

He retired from Snelling and Snelling Employment Agency in 1989 and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was Methodist.

Survivors: Wife, Myrna Mangum Hansler of Runge; daughter, Dana Texter of Eugene, Ore.; sons, Bob Lee Hansler of Odessa and Fred L. Hansler III of Midland; brothers, Joe Hansler and Harry Hansler, both of Corpus Christi; and six grandchildren.

Moir Holt

STUART, VA. -- Moir W. Holt, 78, of Stuart, Va., a retired farmer, died Saturday, March 7, 1998, at Community Hospital in Roanoke, Va.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart, Va., with the Rev. Clarence Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at High Point Baptist Church cemetery. Arrangements by Moody Funeral Home.

He was born in Patrick County, Va.

Survivors: Wife, Ruth Dunn Holt of Stuart, Va.; son, M. Leon Holt of Stuart, Va.; sisters, Pearl H. Blackard of Stuart, Va., Eunice H. Young of Bassett, Va., Jane H. Ray of Odessa and Norine Buffkin of Martinsville, Va.; brothers, Noel J.
