Brijida Renteria

ODESSA -- Brijida Vega Renteria, 67, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Friday, March 6, 1998, at her residence.

Rosary was said at her residence Saturday. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rosehill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.

Survivors: Husband, Gregorio P. Renteria of Odessa; sons, Manuel V. Renteria of Hillsboro, Jose V. Renteria, Alvaro V. Renteria, Apolonio V. Renteria and Mario V. Renteria, all of Odessa; daughters, Ramona V. Renteria of Meogui, Mexico, Juana V. Renteria of Midland, Angie Olguin Renteria and Maria Luisa, both of Odessa; 16 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Lois Ribble

ODESSA -- Lois Idell Ribble, 96, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Saturday, March 7, 1998, at her residence.

Graveside services will be at Rosehill cemetery at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Don Purskey officiating.

She was born in Sherwood.

Survivors: Son, T.L. Ribble of Odessa; brother, Joe Davis of Lubbock; and two grandchildren.

Ferdinand Sanchez

MONAHANS -- Ferdinand Sanchez, 70, of Monahans, a retired mechanic, died Friday, March 6, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. tonight at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

He was born in Floresville and was an Army veteran. He was Catholic.
Survivors: Wife, Betty Sanchez of Monahans; sons, Fernando Sanchez Jr. and Roy V. Sanchez, both of Monahans; daughters, Susana Martinez, Sheron Perez, Lucy Gonzales, Norma Heredia and Felicia V. Sanchez, all of Monahans, and Joyce Heredia of Forest Grove, Ore.; sister, Maria Marquez of Lubbock; 20 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Billy Sanders

ODESSA -- Billy Gene Sanders, 63, of Odessa, a shoe shiner, died Thursday, March 5, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Martinez Funeral Home with the Rev. William Tatum officiating. Burial will be at Rosehill cemetery.

Survivors: Sons, Kary Sanders of San Angelo, Billy Gene Sanders Jr., William Sanders and Charles Sanders, all of Dallas; daughters, Lela Joe Sanders of South Carolina and Lavera Sanders of San Angelo; and 10 grandchildren.

Charles Squires

SEMINOLE -- Charles Ray Squires, 72, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, died Friday, March 6, 1998, at Memorial Hospital in Seminole.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at West Side Church of Christ with Don Fleming and James T. Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.

He was a member of the Church of Christ, the Lions Club and the Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors: Wife, Jackie Squires of Seminole; son, Gary Squires of Seminole; daughters, Phyllis Pierce of Hobbs, N.M., and Pamela Murrell of Andrews; sister, Alta Benton of Canon City, Colo.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Micaela Gonzalez

ODESSA -- Micaela Gonzalez, 65, of Odessa, died Friday, March 6, 1998, in Watsonville, Calif.

Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Edward Matthews

ODESSA -- Edward Bruce Matthews, 89, of Odessa, died Friday, March 6, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Nora Williams

ODESSA -- Nora Mae Williams, 88, of Odessa, died Saturday, March 7, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Inez Eddins
KERMIT -- Inez Eddins, 91, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Thursday, March 5, 1998, at Lincoln Towers in Odessa.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Kermit cemetery with Brian McGonagill officiating. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel Inc. She was born in Grandfalls and was a 62-year resident of Winkler County. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Son, Add M. Eddins of Dallas; daughter, Mary Frances Krebs of Andrews; brother, Dee Armstrong of Abilene; one granddaughter and two greatsons.

Percy Threet

KERMIT -- Percy T. Threet Jr., 61, of Kermit, a retired bulldozer operator, died Tuesday, March 3, 1998, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Kermit cemetery with the Rev. Brian McGonagill officiating. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel Inc.

He was a 27-year resident of Kermit. He was a Navy veteran.

SURVIVORS: Son, Clifford Threet of Texas; daughters, Judy Mixon of Kermit and Kelly Lovely of Enid, Okla.; brothers, Tommy Threet of Wellstone, Okla., and Bill Threet of Bridgeport; sister, Sharon Holcomb of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Stephanie Vasquez

ANDREWS -- Stephanie Lightfoot Vasquez, 30, of Andrews, a waitress, died Thursday, March 5, 1998, in Gardendale.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Street officiating. Burial will be at Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home Inc.

She was born in Odessa. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Parents, Cliff and Dannye Lightfoot of Andrews; daughters, Amanda Lightfoot and Mauri Lightfoot, both of Andrews and Sarah Valles of Lubbock; son, Nathan Valles of Lubbock; sister, Crysten Murry of Odessa; brother, Brent Lightfoot of Andrews; and grandparents, Dan and Gwen Musgrove of Gilchrist.

Marie Andrews

ANDREWS -- Marie Andrews, 80, of Andrews died Friday, March 6, 1998, at Permian General Hospital.
