James Miller
ANDREWS — James Porter Miller, 86, of Andrews died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at his residence.
Services are pending with McNett Funeral Home.

Wanda McKenzie
ODESSA — Wanda McKenzie, 84 of Odessa, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, in an Odessa hospital.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
She was born Jan. 13, 1919, in Royse City, Texas, and married Kenneth Paschal McKenzie on May 18, 1940, in Stephenville, Texas. He preceded her in death.
She was an avid reader, and loved to sew. She worked many crossword puzzles. Wanda was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of First Christian Church in Odessa.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Peggy McKenzie of Odessa; daughter-in-law, Barbara McKenzie of Aledo, Texas, four grandchildren, Lisa and Doug Hoffman, Cory McKenzie, Mandy and Jeff Butler and Katlin McKenzie; and three great-grandchildren, Darian Butler, Julie Butler and Caleb Hoffman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son, Gaylen McKenzie.
A special thank you to Wanda’s provider, Lori Wright, for your love, care and support of our mother and grandmother.
The family suggests memorials to Shriners Crippled Children’s Hospital, 4911 Montrose Blvd., Houston, TX 77006.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.

Olga Anna Zimmerman Wilkins
CARY, Ill. — Olga Anna Zimmerman Wilkins, 91, went to her heavenly home on Friday, Sept. 5, 2003.
She was born on Oct. 21, 1911, in Chicago to Harry and Olga Schefla Zimmerman.
She is predeceased by her husband; her sister, Ruby Kruse; and her brothers, Louis Zimmerman and Harry Zimmerman.
Olga married Marvin Scheunemann Wilkins on Sept. 22, 1933, at “The Little Church on the Corner” in Chicago with the Rev. Don Davis officiating.
Olga is survived by three children, David Wilkins and wife Alice of Laurinburg, N.C., Gail Wilkins Johnston of Venice, Fla., and Marvin Wilkins and wife Judi of Odessa. Olga has eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Olga graduated from Austin High School in Chicago in 1930, and then graduated from the West Suburban Hopsital School for Nurses as a Registered Nurse in 1933. She later graduated from Loyola University and was a Public Health Nurse for Stickney Township in Illinois.
Olga was active at the Little Church on the Corner in Chicago and after retirement, she attended the Baptist Temple in San Benito, Texas. Olga and Marvin retired to San Benito in 1967. In 2001, the moved to Parks Methodist Retirement Village in Odessa.
The family wishes to gratefully thank the nurses and staff of Parks Methodist Retirement Village for their compassion and very capable care of Marvin and Olga Wilkins.
Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Funeral services and interment will be in Cary, Ill.

Teresa Gayle Willis
ODESSA — Teresa Gayle Willis, 19, passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at her residence in Odessa.
She was born June 12, 1984, to William and Roberta Willis in Odessa.
Even throughout her illness, she always had a positive attitude, encouraging others.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2003, at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Larry Flanary officiating.
Survivors include her parents, William and Roberta Willis; grandmother, Evie Moseley; and brother, Billy Willis, all of Odessa; uncle and aunt, Auby and Jil Hatten of Mertzon, Texas; and several cousins.
Services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Kenneth Don Beck
ODESSA — Kenneth Don Beck, beloved husband, father and grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday morning, Aug. 29, 2003.
He was born April 9, 1937, in Mungerville to Abner and Mamie Beck. He graduated from Lamesa High School in 1956. He married Exie Myra Beck on Feb. 15, 1959. They had known each other all their lives and had dated since 1955. They had two children, Donna Loucreshia Belt of Odessa and Nancy Diane Worsham, also of Odessa.
He was with the Lamesa Police Department for five years. Then he went to work for the Texas Department of Public Safety for 11 years. He went to work for Hobbs Trailers in 1976, now J & B Trailers and Equipment. He retired as a partsman from J & B Trailers in December 2002, after 26 years. He and Myra traveled California to New York since March.
He was a very active member of Life Unlimited Church since 1986. He worked in the Healing Rooms at Life Unlimited praying for the sick. He also was an usher and did a lot of maintenance work for the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abner and Mamie Beck; and brothers, Darrell and Ronald Dean Beck.
He is survived by his wife, Myra; and daughters, Donna and Diane; and seven grandchildren, Brittany Ruppert of York Town, Kimberly Kinney of Odessa, Casey, Ashley and Joie Belt of Odessa, Matthey Worsham of Midland and Kayla Worsham of Odessa; two great-grandchildren, Ethan (Kinney) Scheible of Odessa and Aubrie LeAnn Ruppert of York Town; brothers, JC Beck of McCallister, Okla., the Rev. Harold Gene of Temple, Doy Lee Beck of Wiseman, Ark., Jerry Beck of Lamesa and William Beck of Tulsa, Okla.; and sisters, Dorothy Faye Faulkenberry of Tuscon, Ariz., and Frances Allison of Orcale, Ariz.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Life Unlimited with Pastor Don Palmer officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Leota J. Brumelle
ODESSA — Memorial services for Leota J. Brumelle, 86, of Odessa will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Sunset Memorial Chapel with Curtis Brewer officiating.
A private family interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Services are under direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brumelle passed away Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003, in Odessa. She was born June 14, 1917, in Mt. Vernon, Ill., and married Clarence Lee Brumelle in 1936, in Lewisville, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1981.
She owned and operated Leota’s Wedding Service for 17 years. She was also a secretary at Crockett Junior High and a member of the Eastern Star. She has been a resident of Odessa since 1936 and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include twin sons, Kenneth and wife Sharon of Odessa and Kendell and wife Gayle of Evergreen, Colo.; one granddaughter, Jenni Brumelle of Arlington, Va.; four grandsons, Colin and Justin of Vancouver, British Columbia, Bret and wife Michelle of Portland, Ore. and Sean of Denver, Colo.; daughter-in-law, Karen Brumelle of Vancouver; one sister, Olive Chambers of Tulsa, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Shelby Brumelle in September of 2001.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Odessa.

Barbara Day Hamlin
ODESSA — Barbara Day Hamlin, 77, passed from this world from a lengthy illness on Aug. 28, 2003, after a rich full life of activity within her church, AWANA Club and Epsilon Sigma Alpha.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born to the Rev. and Mrs. Walter F. Day on Jan. 12, 1926, in Moline, Ill. She was a teacher for 23 years until she retired.
She married Thomas Hamlin on Dec. 24, 1955, in McAllen, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Eva Day; and infant brother, Walter Day Jr.; her sister, Dorthy Kratovil; and granddaughter Tiffany Dietderich.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Hamlin; daughter, Martha Cirrincione and husband Mike; and son, Matthew Hamlin; her grandchildren, Jana Mosley and husband Chris, Kacee Hamlin, Jeremy, Thomas, and Brianna Dietderich and Michael Cirrincione II and Brandi Stewart; her great-grandchildren, Jada and Christopher Mosley; and many wonderful friends.
The family will be accepting guests from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at Odessa Bible Church with the Rev. Bob Thayer officiating, and at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, in Hurst, Texas, with the Rev. William Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Flower Mound cemetery in Flower Mound, Texas.
Funeral services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Andrew Iaderosa
ODESSA — Andrew Iaderosa, 83, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, Aug. 30, at Hospice House of Odessa.
He was born Dec. 8, 1919, in Everett, Mass.
Andrew was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired carpenter and a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church.
A rosary will be said at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, in the Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Schlegel and husband Tom of Odessa; stepsons, Tommy Cherney of Toms River, N.J., and Rudolph Cherney of Middletown, N.J.; brothers, Carmine Iaderosa of Holmdel, N.J., and Joseph Iaderosa of Baltimore; sisters, Serafina Infante of Cream Ridge, N.J. and Rosemarie Cresci of Holmdel, N.J.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Andrew was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Catherine and one sister, Vincenza Piscitelli.
Memorials may be sent to St. Stephen’s Catholic Church and Hospice House of Odessa.

Clarence Calvin Maxwell
EASTLAND — Clarence Calvin Maxwell, 70, of San Angelo, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, in Eastland cemetery in Eastland.
He was born Jan. 4. 1933, in Carbon, Texas. He married Christine Lucke on Nov. 8, 1952, in Gorman. Mr. Maxwell worked for Phillips Petroleum for 41 years, retiring in Crane in 1994 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He and his wife moved to San Angelo in 1996.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Julia Maxwell; one sister, Grace Lynn Maxwell; and three brothers, Aubrey Maxwell, J.M. Maxwell and Elzie Maxwell.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Maxwell of San Angelo; four daughters, Janet Terry of Point, Regena Tucker and husband Glenn of Odessa, Sharon Hooker and husband Marcus of San Angelo and Joanna Hatley of Odessa; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, four brothers, Harrell Maxwell and Bert Maxwell, both of Borger, Lee Roy Maxwell of Eastland and Glenn Maxwell of Moscow, Kan.; two sisters, Faye Bond of Odessa and Inez Davenport of Fort Worth.
