MENARD — Nita Vannoy, 61, of Fort McKavett and formerly of Odessa, a retired teacher and coach, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003.
Services were held Sept. 26 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Suzanne Brantly officiating. Graveside services were at 5 p.m. at Montvale cemetery in Sterling City. Arrangements were by Johnson’s Funeral Home of San Angleo.
She was born in San Angelo.
SURVIVORS: Children, Christy Lacy of California, Stacy Lacy of Granbury and Colby Lacy of Water Valley; sister, Sally Lacy of Water Valley; a stepmother; a stepbrother; a stepsister; and a stepson.

PECOS — Frank Williams, 79, of Pecos, a retired mechanic, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at Reeves County Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Terry officiating. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Wharton. He was Baptist.

ODESSA — Charles Grady Waters, 82, of Odessa, a retired supervisor at the Shell Refinery, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Vine Baptist Church with the Rev. J.Y. Durham officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Houston and was an U.S. Army Air Force veteran. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, David Waters of Odessa; daughters, Dottie Creech of Irving, Jeannie Hight and Debbie Imler both of Odessa; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

PRESIDIO — Maria Muniz Cabezuela, 67, of Presidio, a homemaker, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, in an Odessa hospital.
Mass was celebrated Tuesday at Santa Teresa Catholic Church with the Rev. Lazaro Gonzales Trejo officiating. Burial was at Desert Hills cemetery. Arrangements were by Memorial Funeral Home of Marfa.
She was born in San Antonio and was a 47-year resident of Presidio. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Jose Cabezuela of Presidio; daughters, Alicia Cabezuela of Chihuahua, Mexico, and Jessie Baeza of Fort Worth; sons, Jose Luis Cabezuela of Van Horn, Manuel Cabezuela of Kermit, Raul Cabezuela of Odessa and Juan Roberto Cabezuela of Presidio; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

ANDREWS — James McCane, 31, of Andrews died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, in Andrews.

PANTEGO — Floyd D. Salmon, 89, of Pantego died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, in Fort Worth.

He was born in Comanche County and was an 11-year resident of Pantego. He was Methodist.

Rosary will be said at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Alameda Mortuary Chapel in Albuquerque, N.M. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. Burial will be at Santa Fe National cemetery in Santa Fe. Arrangements are by Alameda Mortuary of Albuquerque.
He was born in Marfa. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
