MIDLAND — O. D. Huckabee, 89, of Midland, a businessman, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003, at a Stanton care facility.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Hopkins officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Snyder. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Lucille Huckabee of Midland; sister, Hazel Bond of Brownfield; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Catherine O’Connor
ANDREWS — Catherine “Cassie” O’Connor, 61, of Andrews, a homemaker, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at her residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Wilson officiating. Burial will be at the Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Colorado City. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Gay Hovorka of Dallas; sons, Ric O’Connor of Marble Falls and Lanny O’Connor of Midland; sister, Jane Lucas of Aztec, N.M.; brothers, Jimmy Nolen and Buddy Nolen of Hobbs, N.M.; and four grandchildren.

James Tarter
COMMERCE — James R. Tarter, 79, of Temple, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, in Temple.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Lybrand Funeral Home in Commerce. Burial will be at Rosemound cemetery in Commerce. Arrangements are by Sheffield Funeral Home in Temple.
He was born in Windom. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific. He was an administrator at Odessa College.
SURVIVORS: Son, Richard A. Tarter of Temple; brother, Delbert Tarter of San Angelo; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

John Williams
MARFA — John Michael Williams, 24, of Marfa, a telemarketer, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, in Valentine.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Marfa. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Old Catholic cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Alpine.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Miranda Williams of Abilene; parents, Jose and Della Williams of Marfa; brother, Jose Williams Jr.
of Sweetwater; sisters, Jennifer Williams and Janet Williams, both of Marfa; and grandmother, Josefina Williams of Marfa.

June Henderson
ODESSA — June Henderson, 70, of Odessa, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at Hospice House.
Services are pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Antonia Arredondo
PECOS — Antonia C. Arredondo, 81, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at Reeves County Hospital in Pecos.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Ben Florez officiating. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
She was born in Durango, Mexico. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Jose A. Arredondo of San Antonio, Armando C. Arredondo of San Angelo and Javier C. Arredondo of Pecos; daughters, Aurora C. Arredondo, Mary C. Arredondo, Adia A. Garcia and Eva C. Arredondo, all of Pecos; brothers, Alberto Cardial of El Paso and Alejandro Cardial of Juarez, Mexico; sister, Rosario Garcia of Rialto, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Fred Bland
KERMIT — Fred Bland, 94, of Kermit, a retired oilfield maintenance man with GQ Salmon & Son, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at Hospice House in Odessa.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace Temple Baptist Church. Burial will be at Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements are by Family Services Funeral Parlor.
He was born in Toccapola, Miss.
SURVIVORS: Son, Ray Bland of Crane; daughter, Bettie Mann of Kermit; brother, Bo Bland of Tupelo, Miss.; sister, Beatrice Clark of Astor, Fla.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Dean Garrett
ALPINE — Peter Dean Garrett, 65, of Alpine, a retired businessman, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Elm Grove cemetery. Arrangements are by Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was born in Shreveport, La. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Beverly Jane Garrett of Alpine, three sons, one brother and four grandchildren.

KERRVILLE — Sean Aloysius Kelleher, 60, of Midland, a former professor of political science at the University of Texas at the Permian Basin, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at a care facility in Kerrville.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at Notre Dame Catholic Church. Burial will be at Garden of Memories cemetery. Arrangements are by Kerrville Funeral Home.
He was born in Manhattan, N.Y.

Dan Price
KERRVILLE — Dan Price, 65, of Kerrville, formerly of Odessa, a retired band instrument repairman and manager of Three Hills Mobile Home Park, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at a San Antonio Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frankie Enloe officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Kerrville Funeral Home.
He was born in Abilene.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Von Nell Price of Kerrville; sons, James Price of Abilene, Ted Price of Abilene and Clay Price of San Antonio; daughter, Vickey Price of Abilene; brothers, Bill Price of Abilene and Roy Price of California; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Ramona S. Ramos, 67, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center in Big Spring.

She was born in Colotlan, Jalisco, Mexico. She was Catholic.

FORT STOCKTON — Howard K. Valentine, 65, of Fort Stockton, an auto mechanic, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, in Fort Stockton.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at the Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. R.K. Johnson officiating. Arrangements are by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
He was born in Houston. He was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Howard K. Valentine Jr., Monte D. Valentine and Aaron Valentine, all of Spring, and Dirk Valentine of Houston; daughters, Fonda R. Eppes and Tonya A. Valentine, both of Magnolia; stepsons, Dale Johnston of Montgomery, Texas, and Alan Valentine of Magnolia; sister, Pat Hanson of Galena Park; and 13 grandchildren.

ROUND TOP — James H. “Jim” Britt, 67, of Carmine, formerly of Houston and Odessa, an engineer, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, in the Veterans Hospital in Temple.
Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Koenig & Strickland Chapel in LaGrange. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Round Top Church Christian Fellowship with the Rev. Matthew Diehl officiating. Graveside services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at Rising Star cemetery in Rising Star, Texas. Arrangements are by Koenig & Strickland of LaGrange.
He was born in Brownwood. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was Christian.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Linda Gray Britt of Carmine; sons, Timothy Stewart Britt and Curtis Dale Britt, both of Houston; daughter, Rebecca Britt Akers of Richmond; mother, Mamie Ray Lockhart Britt of Houston; sisters, Linda Britt Hall and Janyce Britt Theisman, both of Houston; and two grandchildren.
