He worked in insurance management and sales for 35 years before becoming self employed. He was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord, having served on the Church’s foundation board and sitting on the church council for three terms. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Carla Larrison; his children, Debbie Stewart of Odessa, Mike and Terri Schleter of Seymour, Ind., Paul and Rhonda Miller of Helotes, Texas, Ross and Stephanie Larrison of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, and Jennica Larrison of Washington, D.C.; his brothers, Edward Larrison of Seymour, Ind., and Jack Larrison of Newburgh, Ind., and their spouses, his grandchildren, Jackie Sutton, Lauren Stewart, Josh Schleter, Ryan Schleter, Jessie Lynn Stewart, Colten Miller and Mason Miller. People are remembered, not for whom they were, but how they influenced and impacted the lives of others. Tom Larrison made you want to be a better person. Whether he was spending the afternoon landscaping his beloved yard or barbecuing on a Sunday afternoon, he always had a twinkle in his eyes divulging a secret joke he was waiting to share with the rest of the world. He was not one to throw the towel in easily and always strove to make his little piece of the world better, demonstrating to his family and friends that they were truly the conductors of their own opus. The family suggests memorials to the Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord Foundation, 1603 N. Grandview Ave., Odessa, TX 79761 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4400 N.
