Clifton Clee Greene Jr.

ODESSA — Clifton Clee Greene Jr. was born May 18, 1946, and passed away Jan. 3, 2004, in Carrollton.
He is survived by his wife, Amelia Tallant; one daughter, Christy Greene; two sons, Rodney Greene and Galen Greene; two sisters, Linda Christopher and Mary Riley; and one brother, R.T. Greene.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cliff and Annabelle Green and a sister, Sonya Davis.
Pending graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In loving memory as husband, father, brother and friend.

Bobby Joe Phillips

ODESSA — Bobby Joe Phillips, 68, devoted husband and father, died Tuesday evening, Jan. 6, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
Bob was the youngest son of Lee Elmer and Mayme Harrell Philllips. He was born Sept. 23, 1935, in Quinlan and grew up in Coleman and eventually started his own family in Odessa after marrying Martha Templin, also of Coleman. Bob actively volunteered his time to the community in such roles as a youth baseball coach, 32nd degree Mason, Scottish Rite of Dallas, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He retired from the United States Post Office after 39 years of service, during which time he also was a master watch repairman and jeweler.
He was always willing to lend a hand to friends and neighbors and his presence will be missed by many in the community.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Odell Phillips; and sister, Marie Phillips.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Martha; sons, Bryan and wife Amy, Brad and wife Dian; two grandchildren, Colton and Erica; brothers, Lee Phillips and wife Nina of Dallas, Harold Phillips and wife Katie of Coleman, Fred Phillips and wife Jean of Houston; sister, Ruth Wade of Kiowa and sister-in-law Irene Phillips of Dallas; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation for family and friends 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at the Coleman cemetery in Coleman.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Chad Steven Breedlove

KELLER — Chad Steven Breedlove, 29, an electrician, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003.
A funeral was held Monday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel, 6001 Rufe Snow Drive. Chad was laid to rest in Bourland cemetery in Keller. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Chad Breedlove, P.O. Box 2271, Keller, Texas, 76244.
Chad was a wonderful and loving husband, father and friend. He had a presence and a smile that would light up a room whenever he entered. He gave you no choice but to love him and enjoy every moment that you were with him. He faced every aspect of his life with strength and powerful determination, including the very courageous battle that he fought for the past few months.
Chad left this world with not a single enemy, but instead, with a world of friends and people that he had touched and changed their lives just by their having known him.
Survivors: Wife, Sarah Breedlove; son, Keaston Breedlove; stepdaughter, Olivia Mallow; father and stepmother, Danny and Diane Breedlove; mother and stepfather, Debra and Norman Tanner; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and family.

Bert M. Daum

ODESSA — Bert M. Daum, age 93, of Odessa passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born April 1, 1910, to Michel and Flora Daum in Wheeling, W.V.
He married Mildred Sandlin Nov. 17, 1939, in Amarillo. He moved to Odessa in 1940 and was co-owner with his wife of “Mildred’s, ” the prestige gift shop of the Permian Basin.
Bert was very active in civic affairs after his army service, starting in the early years with the Odessa Jaycees where he was a tireless worker in any endeavor. A member of the Chamber of Commerce, he supported Meals On Wheels for years, the Salvation Army and many other organizations. In 1962, he joined the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang and for 42 years he promoted Odessa full time all across the USA and overseas. He was always ready to go anytime. In his later years he was a sustaining member of the Republican Party and there was no job too small or too large for him to take on, and he was always ready to help in any way for any candidate local or national.
He gave his heart and support to the First Presbyterian Church of Odessa.
So now he would say “Happy trails to you till we meet again, goodbye see you tomorrow.”
He was survived by his wife, Mildred Daum of 64 years; stepson Bob Sandlin and wife Deanna of Dallas.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Nora Fitch of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Funeral services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Loreta Joyce Rae

CREWS — On Jan. 5, 2004, Loreta Joyce Stanley Rae left this life behind. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Loreta was born July 5, 1937, in Winters to Ira and Eunice Stanley. She grew up in Ballinger along with her brother, Lester, and sisters, Elreta and Nelda. She married Bill Rae of Talpa in 1955. She had two children, Alton and Royanne.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life in her sunset years, and she so enjoyed a good laugh and practical joke with them. She was a fun loving lady.
Loreta was preceded in death by her father, Ira Stanley; daughter-in-law, Gay Rae; and grandson, Elliott Rae.
She is survived by her mother, Eunice Stanley; son, Alton Rae and wife Charla of Tulsa, Okla.; daughter, Royanne Pullen and husband Denzil of Odessa; brother, Lester Stanley and wife Geniva of Friona; sisters, Elreta Day of Farmington, N.M., Nelda Scott and husband Abe of Goldsmith; two grandchildren, Jeremy and Jacqueline Pullen and Tabitha Pullen; three great-grandchildren, Josiah, Brooklyn and RaeLynn.
There will be visitation with family and friends 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. A reception will follow at Lincoln Towers Retirement Center ballroom from 6 to 8 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at the Crews cemetery in Crews with Max Pratt officiating.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Kenneth Wilson Reamy

RUIDOSO — Kenneth Wilson Reamy, 67, passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, at his home in Capitan, N.M., with Carol, his wife of 49 years, and daughter Elissa with him.
He was born June 18, 1936, in Iredell to Woody Maudane Wilson Reamy and Sylvanius Elmer Reamy. Kenneth grew up in Wickett and graduated from Monahans High School in 1954. On July 14, 1954, he married his high school sweetheart, Carol Brink of Monahans. Kenneth worked in the West Texas oilfield as a roughneck and driller. In 1959, he was called into the U.S. Army and proudly served his country. Kenneth and Carol moved to Capitan in 1964. In 1977, Kenneth and Hollis Cummins formed Reamy Drilling Company. Kenneth drilled water wells all over the state of New Mexico. He was a member of the National Water Well Association and served as President of the State Water Well Association for three terms. He was named “State Driller of the Year” in 1984.
Through the years Kenneth gave back to his community in many ways. He was active in the Lions Club. His welding skills were utilized to construct a steeple for the First Baptist Church and the stock pens at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds along with other community projects. He proudly participated in restoring the Veterans Park. When the Smokey Bear State Park was a vacant lot, Kenneth donated countless hours of labor to make a dream a reality. Kenneth received his greatest enjoyment from working hard, providing for his family and helping others. He had the highest integrity and was a man of his word. He made life fun with his wit and humor.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Carol, and his daughter Elissa Reamy of Odessa. His uncles and aunts, Danny and Bobbie Wilson of Odessa, Dorothy Wilson of Clifton, James and Gladys Wilson of Fort Worth, Helen Reamy Horton of California and his very special friends.
Due to health reasons, Kenneth retired in 1993. He fought a long and hard battle with leukemia for 13 years. A special thanks to all of the doctors, nurses and staff of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albuquerque who provided him treatment and loving care with tireless dedication. Our appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Home Health and Hospice of Lincoln County. The family requests memorials be made to the V.A. Hospital in Albuquerque and Home Health and Hospice of Lincoln County.
Graveside services will be held in Monahans on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2003, at 1 p.m.

Troy D. Allgood

ODESSA — Troy D. Allgood, 86, of Big Spring, died on Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, in a Midland hospital.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa with Rev. Joel Miller, pastor of Birdwell Lane United Methodist Church, officiating.
He was born on March 3, 1917, in Brown County, Texas, and married Ruby Ruth Hudgins on July 20, 1962, in Wink, Texas.
Mr. Allgood had worked for Sid Richardson Carbon Co., retiring after 30 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Birdwell Lane United Methodist Church. He had served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Ruth Allgood of Big Spring; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Jann and Jim Moseley of Odessa; a sister, Frances Morton of Odessa; a niece, Betty Whitley of Midland; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Clara Moseley Allgood; one brother, Doyle Allgood and one sister, Ola Mae Meade.
The family suggests memorials to: Birdwell Lane United Methodist Church, 2702 N. Birdwell Lane, Big Spring, TX 79720.

Willie Laurie Bigelow

ODESSA — Willie Laurie Bigelow, beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on Jan. 17, 2004, in Medical Center Hospital at the age of 87.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, in Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Willie was born on Aug. 30, 1916, in Utopia, Texas, to Lillie and James Gotcher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Paul Bigelow, whom she married on Nov. 9, 1933, in San Angelo, Texas. Willie, an avid bridge player, spent the last 50 years as a resident of Odessa, where she was active in various service organizations and the First Christian Church.
She is survived by her sister, Jimmie Lee Beard of Fort Stockton; two sons, Robert Paul Bigelow Jr. of Jasper and Oren Glen Bigelow of Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren, Owen Craig Bigelow and his wife, Terri, who lived with, loved and cared for her during the last several years; Julie Diane Bookout of Wiergate, Texas; Sara Beth Molina and Brenda Janiece Hewitt, both of Sacramento, Calif.; and six great-grandchildren, Jimsey, Robert, Chelsea, Michelle, Michael and Bennett.
The family will receive visitors at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Christian Church of Odessa.

Olive Delay Ross

ODESSA — Olive DeLay Ross, 65, passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Dec. 1, 1938, to Herbert H. and Stella L. DeLay in Atoka, Okla. Her parents preceded her in death.
She grew up in Monahans and graduated in Grandfalls, Texas, in 1956. She married Oscar H. Ross on Feb. 14, 1986, in San Angelo. Together, they owned and operated Osco Services, where she was the office manager. She was a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, a member of the Ladies Oriental Shriners, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and also involved with the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang. She enjoyed playing bridge.
Survivors include her husband, Oscar Ross of Odessa; son, Kelly Higginbotham of Odessa; daughters, Kerry Carter and husband, Kyle, of Austin; and Kimberly Randolph of Austin; step-daughters, Bonnie Easter and Shanis Simons of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Tory Margeson and husband, Dan, of Odessa; sister, Lee Williams of Odessa; nephew, Don Allen Burney of Lubbock; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a large circle of friends.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be V.J. Snyder, Dody Snyder, Wayne Wheat, Jack Reynolds, Wayne Kennedy and Buz Baker.
The family suggests memorial be made to the Home Hospice or to a charity of choice.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
