DALLAS -- Iva Jean McComic, 70, a homemaker, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, in Tyler.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Restland Wildwood Chapel with the Rev. Ken Hope officiating. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park. Arrangements by Restland Funeral Home.

She was born in Iowa Park and moved to Tyler from Garland. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Son, Ronnie McComic of Alba; daughter, Shirley James of Tyler; sisters, Maudie Martin and Maxine Parrish, both of Odessa, and Velma Hall of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Maria Sarabia

PECOS -- Maria Elena Sarabia, 49, a homemaker, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, at Reeves County Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, and was a longtime resident of Pecos. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Catarino Sarabia of Pecos; son, Cesar Fuentes of Pecos; daughters, Mireya Munoz of Pecos, Elisabeth Perez of Sherman and Priscilla Olvidrez of Andrews; mother, Hermila Mongarro of Pecos; brothers, Manuel Maynez of Pecos, Melchor Maynez and Mario Maynez, both of Odessa; sister, Martha Fuentes of Pecos; and six grandchildren.

J.W. Clifton

ODESSA -- J.W. Clifton, 64, of Odessa died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Funeral services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Jesus Moreno

ODESSA -- Jesus Moreno, 74, of Odessa died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at New Horizon Nursing Center.

Funeral services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

Vernard Parr

ODESSA -- Vernard Parr, 81, of Odessa died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at Shannon West Texas Memorial Hospital in San Angelo.

Funeral services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

John Blake

ODESSA - John Blake, 61, of Odessa, a mechanic, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Ector County Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Ed Grogan officiating. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Chicago.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Francis Blake of Odessa; daughter, Patricia Blake of Lamesa.

Emma Rushing

ODESSA - Emma Lee Rushing, 64, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Ector County Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Featherstone, Okla., and moved to Odessa eight months ago from California.

SURVIVORS: Son, Kenny Martin of Texas; brothers, Howard Metzker of California, Johnny Metzker of Oklahoma and Clifford Metzker of Arizona; sister, Marie Odom of Odessa.

Evelyn Sanders

ODESSA - Evelyn Sanders, 77, of Odessa, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at Odessa Regional Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bobby Bell officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was born in Brady.

SURVIVORS: Son, Ray Sanders of Odessa; daughters, Helen Young, Jolene Wallace and Gayle Clanton, all of Odessa; brothers, Tommy Corley of Missouri, Don Corley of Dumas, D.A. Corley of Burleson, Eldon Leek and Weldon Leek, both of Haskel; sisters, Joann Williams of Abilene, June Sellers of Lubbock, Madie John of Blue Ridge and Ielene Smart of Rochester; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

David Wafford

MONAHANS - David Wafford, 80, of Monahans, a retired production superintendent for Gulf Oil Company, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at Memorial Hospital in Midland.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

He was born in Davidson, Okla., and was a longtime resident of Monahans. He was Presbyterian.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Ann Wafford of Monahans; son, David Wafford Jr. of Odessa; Judy Miether of Goldshine, Ind.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Eva Browning

BIG SPRING -- Eva Browning, 79, of Big Spring, a homemaker, died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital following a brief illness.

Services were held at Feb. 25, 1998, at Myers & Smith Chapel with the Rev. Don Snipes officaiting. Burial was held at Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements by Myers & Smith Funeral.

She was born in Hunt County and had lived in Big Spring for the last four years after moving from Post. She was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Janet Hopper of Big Spring, Marla Kyle of Odessa; son, Bob Carpenter of Weleetka, Okla.; brother, Travis Bounds of Talco; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Joyce Elrod

MONAHANS -- Joyce Eileen Elrod, 77, of Monahan, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First Methodist Church with the Rev. David Snyman officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born in Oklahoma City and had been a longtime resident of Monahans. She was a Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Carolyn Meeks of Monahans; son, Larry Wilson of Odessa; brothers, Gerald Murphey of Dallas, Clifford Murphey of Houston, Leon Murphey of Wichita Falls; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Josephine Martin

ODESSA -- Josephine Crowley Martin, 81, of Odessa, a former owner of Midas Muffler Shop, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Jess Little officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Grandfalls and moved to Odessa in 1926. She was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Numerous nephews and nieces.
