PECOS -- Henry P. Bryan, Sr., 90, of Pecos, a retired postal worker, died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998 at the Pecos Nursing Home.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Nash and had lived in Pecos since 1911.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Henry P. Bryan Jr. and Jerry W. Bryan, both of Pecos; daughter, Mary Elaine Wilson of Albuquerque, N.M. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Bryan on Jan. 7, 1998.
Alice Pierce
GRANDFALLS -- Alice Irene Pierce, 90, of Royalty, a homemaker, died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998 at the Crane County Care Center.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Grandfalls with the Rev. Bill Cook. Burial will be at the Tamarisk cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home in Monahans.
She was born in Ohio and had lived in Royalty since 1932.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Otho Lee Pierce of Royalty and Byron Pierce of Lubbock; daughter, Alice Marie Kester of Whiteface; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

PASADENA -- Arnetta Samuel, 78, of Pasadena, a music teacher, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998 at her daughter's residence in Odessa.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Sunset Methodist Church in Pasadena with Rev. Karen Dorris officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Brownsville and was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Woolsey T. Samuel of Pasadena; daughters, Ann Wallace of Odessa and Jean Scates of Houston; sons, Joe Samuel of Pasadena, Steve Samuel of Houston; brother, Jason Kelsey Stewart of Los Gators, Calif.; six grandchildren.
Olive Rackley
SPUR -- Olive Mary Rackley, 105, of Spur, a retired Mason schoolteacher, died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998 at the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Jayton cemetery with Rev. Ned Hicks officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
She was born in Mason and lived most of her life in Odessa.
She a member of the Church of Christ.

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. -- Edward Sampson Townsend, 83, of Sevierville, Tenn. died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998 at his home.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home in Sevierville with the Rev. Clay Mulford officiating. Visitation will be at 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Atchley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Knob Creek cemetery. Arrangments by Atchley Funeral Home of Sevierville.
He was born in Jones County and was Baptist. He was a lifelong resident of Texas until he moved to Sevierville two years ago.

FORT STOCKTON -- Vernon R. 'Sandy' Leverett Jr., 54, of Fort Stockton, manager of Midtown Exxon, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998, after a motorcycle accident.

He was born in Abilene and had lived in the Fort Stockton area since 1969 after moving from El Paso. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
