BIG SPRING - Emilio Rodriguez, 93, of Odessa, formerly of Big Spring, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, in Odessa following a lengthy illness.

ODESSA - Paul Scholl, 74, of Odessa, a retired Field Drilling consultant, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, at Regency Hospital.

MIDLAND — Donny Culwell, 34, of Midland, an employee with Mayfield Paper Company in Odessa, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, in Val Verde County.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayman Swopes officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Kermit.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Candy Culwell of Midland; daughters, Taylor Culwell and Mackenzie Culwell, both of Greenwood; parents, Rodger and Barbara Culwell of Midland; brother, Jason Culwell of Odessa; grandparents, Ima Culwell of Albuquerque, N.M., and Bob and Jean Slaughter of Kermit; and great-grandmother, Jewel Neel of Waco.
Verna Deason
ANDREWS — Verna Holmes Deason, 74, of Andrews, former owner of Rips Trading Post, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Andrews Old cemetery with the Rev. Richard J. Cooper officiating. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Brownfield.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Marion “Sonny” Deason of Andrews; sons, Russell Holmes of Burnet, Rodney Holmes of Andrews and Ross Mason of Midland; daughter, Patricia Reece of Ingram; stepdaughter, Debbie Brooks of Kermit; brothers, Ray Cargill and Thomas Cargill, both of Brownfield; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Truman Isaacs
ODESSA — Truman Lee “Ike” Isaacs, 72, of Odessa, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at Alliance Hospital in Odessa.
Memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home.
He was born in O’Donnell.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Maria Isaacs of Odessa; sons, Michael Lee Isaacs and Matthew Gene Isaacs, both of Odessa; sister, Wilma Frances Isaacs of Odessa; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

MARATHON — Anne Russell Leary, 75, of Marathon, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at Manor Park Nursing Home in Midland.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Rick Ruiz officiating. Burial will be at Marathon cemetery. Arrangements are by Geeslin Funeral Home of Alpine.
She was born in Ackerly.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Tom Leary of Marathon; sons, Patrick Leary and Kevin Leary, both of Midland, Michael Leary of Austin and Tim Leary of Marathon; brother, Jim Russell of Columbia, S.C.; sister, Betty Ford of Midland; and 10 grandchildren.
Adolph Livingston
SANDERSON — Adolph Livingston, 85, of Sanderson, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, in Fort Stockton.
Services will be at 12:30 p.m. today at St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be at Santa Rita cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
He was born in Wortham.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Pascuala Falcon Livingston of Sanderson; sons, Johnny Pat Livingston of Irving, Robert Nevarez of Sanderson and Martin Falcon of Dallas; daughters, Myra Nell Villarreal of Okeene, Okla., Terry Cash of Fort Stockton and Rosella Leyva of Midland; brother, Rudolph Livingston of Quanah; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Betty Turner
LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Betty Jo Turner, 76, of Las Cruces, formerly of Clovis, N.M., and Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at Mountain View Hospital in Las Cruces of diabetes-related heart failure.
Memorial service was Dec. 20 at Healing Word Sanctuary. Arrangements were by Baca’s Funeral Chapel.
She was born in Waxahachie.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, La’Nell Heard, Janis Jobe and Deborah Hawkins, all of Odessa, Ann Pearson of Ballinger, Barbara Gastineall of Omaha, Neb., Brenda Michael of Booneville, Miss., Carla Jo Munoz of Las Cruces and Elizabeth Hack of Texarkana, Texas; sisters, Bonnie Cline and Frances Cline, both of Clyde, Anna Lou Cohen of Lamesa and Helen Cline of Abilene; 22 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. R.C. Alexander officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements are by Family Funeral Services/ Jackie Harkey.
She was born in Colorado City.
