ODESSA - Francis 'Frank' Hugh Morris, 81, of Odessa, retired president of E.L. Farmer Trucking Company, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, at the V.A. Hospital in Big Spring.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Frank W. Wilson Chapel with the Rev. James Bridges officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Mike Morris of Odessa, Tim Morris of Ruidoso, Texas and Steve Morris of Katy; daughter, Donna Morris of Houston; brother, Kenneth Morris of Mount Arlington, N.J.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Betty Osburg
MIDLAND - Betty Jean Osburg, 81, of Midland, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, in Odessa.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Skaggs officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home in Midland.
She was born in San Antonio. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Ralph Osburg of Midland; son, Cliff Osburg of Midland; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

LaVerne Reid
ODESSA - LaVerne Reid, 81, of Odessa, a retail sales clerk, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, in Odessa.
No services will be held. Arrangements are by Memorial Services Chapa Funeral Home.
She was born in Wichita Falls.
SURVIVOR: Son, W.L. 'Rocky' Reid of Odessa.

Pauline Russell
STANTON - Pauline Ruth Slover Russell, 88, of Hobbs, N.M., a teacher, died on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, in Hobbs.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Evergreen cemetery in Stanton. Arrangements are by Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs.
She was born in Crafton, Texas. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Helen Clements of Andrews, Paula Lewis of Stanton and Carol Hood of Hobbs; sister, Louis Draughn of Temple; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

George Burns
ODESSA — George R. Burns, 80, a retired employee with Fina Oil Co., died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at Avalon Place.
Masonic Graveside Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Coke County.
SURVIVORS: Son, John R. Burns of Odessa; daughter, June Freeman of Odessa; sister, Bessie Booth of Ozona; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Esmeralda Castaneda
STANTON — Esmeralda H. Castaneda, 53, of Stanton, a nurse assistant at Martin County Hospital, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, in Midland.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. George Thirmangalam officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.
She was born in Alice. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Esiuio S. Castaneda of Stanton; brothers, Epifanio Hinojosa, Filibert Hinojosa Jr. and Favian Hinojosa, all of Stanton, Juan Hinojosa of Chaparral, N.M., and Reymundo Hinojosa of Midland; and sister, Angie Aguirre of Stanton.

Francisca Cortez
ANDREWS — Francisca Cortez, 87, of Andrews, a homemaker, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Nov. 20 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Nov. 21 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Lamesa with the Rev. Rudolf Crasta officiating. Burial will be at Lamesa cemetery. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
She was born in Gonzales.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Pablo Cortez of Midland, Antonio Cortez of Lamesa and Rudy Cortez of Lamesa; daughter, Maria Estrada of Andrews; brother, Julian Arispe of Waco; sisters, Inacia Rodriguez and Teodora Rodriguez, both of Big Spring; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Leonard Deckert
ODESSA — Leonard Ray Deckert, 59, of Odessa, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at his residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in the Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors chapel. Burial will be at Ector County cemetery. Arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in New Mexico. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Geneva Deckert of Odessa; and sisters, Linda Kay Rose of Garland, Doris Fay D’Alessandro of Hewitt and Rose Alice Ashby of Eldorodo, Ill.

ODESSA — Lillian Evans, 88, of Odessa, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital.

MIDLAND — Bill Overton, 69, of Odessa, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at his residence.
Services are pending with Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home and Crematory of Midland.

ANDREWS - John Thomas Ballew, 83, of Andrews, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at Trinity Haven Nursing Home in Midland.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Andrews Old cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Donnell officiating. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in San Saba. He was a 51-year resident of Andrews. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Susan Maddox of Midland and Kathleen Harris of Round Hill, Va.; sister, Ora Jenkins of Big Spring; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

LIBERTY, Mo. - Dorothy Boyer, 87, of Gainesville, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2004, in Gainesville.
