ODESSA — Gilberta Rodriguez, 82, of Odessa, died Friday, March 5, 2004, in Odessa.
Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home.
Luz Carrasco
FORT STOCKTON — Luz Campos Carrasco, 69, of Fort Stockton, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church with Junior Chavira officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Terlingua.
SURVIVORS: Son, Nieves Carrasco of Fort Stockton; daughters, Leonor Blanco, Molly Alvarado, Elisa Hernandez, Elvira Carrasco and Maria Cervantes, all of Fort Stockton, Linda Nunez of Alvarado, Patricia Fuentes and Alvina Lopez, both of Midland; brothers, Felipe Campos of Fort Stockton and Natie Campos of Midland; sisters, Juana Urias of Fort Stockton, Josefa Ramirez and Lupe Campos, both of Lubbock; and Leonarda Sanchez of Grand Prairie; 27 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Maria Cortez
MARFA — Maria Gonzalez Cortez, 84, of Deer Park, died Friday, Feb. 20, 2004.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Alcuino officiating. Burial will be at Desert Hill cemetery in Presidio. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Evangelina Escudero of Pasadena; and two grandchildren.
Donald Gray
ODESSA — Donald Justin Gray, 28, of Odessa, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, in Austin.
Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at New Life Chapel. Arrangements are by Harrell Funeral Home of Austin.
He was born in Lancaster, Calif. He was Pentecostal.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Lillie Justine of Odessa; parents, Don and Faye Gray of Odessa; and brother, Jason Gray of Austin.
Tammy Johnson
FORT STOCKTON — Tammy Johnson, 31, of Arlington, a correctional officer, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, in Arlington.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at East Hill cemetery. Arrangements are by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
She was born in Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Ashley Johnson of Arlington; parents, Charles and Glenda Johnson of Zapata; sister, Dolly Ramirez of Arlington; and three grandparents.
Genoveva Nunez
MARFA — Genoveva S. Nunez, 90, of Marfa, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, in an El Paso nursing center.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Alcuino officiating. Burial will be at the Catholic cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Ruidosa, Texas. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Helen Alsobrook and Josie Aguirre, both of Marfa; sons, Frank Nunez, Juan Nunez Jr., Robert Lee Nunez and Mike Nunez, all of Marfa; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Doris Parker
BRIDGEPORT — Doris R. Parker, 80, of Bridgeport, a retired teacher and former judge and mayor, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, in Bridgeport.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are by Hawkins Funeral Home.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Marvin Parker of Bridgeport; sons, Bill Gholson, Glenn Ray Parker and Gary Parker; daughters, Marilyn Charlie Young, Jo Ann Biggs and Sandy Miliam; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Ermilina Villegas
ARLINGTON — Ermilina ‘Ermie’ Salvador Villegas, 54, of Arlington, a wound-care specialist at Arlington Memorial Hospital, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, at Arlington Memorial Hospital.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Arlington. Arrangements are by Moore and Sons Funeral Home in Arlington.
She was born in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, Philippines. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Lainee Villegas of Arlington; son, Ronald Villegas of Arlington; father, Jesus Salvador of the Philippines; sisters, Elsa Conde and Eralin Cabrera, both of the Philippines; brother, Edwin Salvador of the Philippines; and one grandchild.
Willie Beck
ODESSA — Willie Mae Beck, 69, formerly of Odessa, a retired ECISD physical education coach’s aide, died Saturday, March 27, 2004, at St. Luke Episcopal Hospital in Houston.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Johnson Chapel AME Church with the Rev. Nate Hearne officiating. Burial will be at the Ector County cemetery, Rose Hill section. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Son, Tyree Beck of Houston; sisters, Bernice Smith, Dorothy McMarion of Odessa, Jewel Haynes of Los Angeles, Calif., and Jean Sims of Pampa; brother, Raymond Walker of Odessa; and three grandchildren.
Marcus Cleveland
PECOS — Marcus Cleveland, 73, of Pecos, a retired superintendent, died Tuesday, March 30, 2003, in Midland.
Graveside services will be at noon today at Fairview cemetery with J. E. McCormick officiating. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Oxford, La., and was a longtime resident of Pecos. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean conflict and was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Daryl Cleveland of Miami; daughter, Holly Espinosa of Midland; brother, Grover Cleveland of Abilene; sisters, Flora Lambert of Colorado Springs, Colo., Wanda Passmore of Midland and Camille Gilbert of Houston; and one grandchild.
James C. Dunlap Sr.
BIG SPRING — James C. Dunlap Sr., 82, of Big Spring and formerly of Odessa, a carpenter, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at his residence.
Services were held Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel with C.L. Lunsford officiating. Burial was at Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
He was born at Birthrite. He was an Air Force veteran and Jehovah’s Witness.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Jewell Dunlap of Big Spring; daughters, Mary Lou Gowen of Midland, Carol Jeanne Wright of Sand Springs and Jannetta Lynn Penn of Odessa; sons, James C. Dunlap Jr. of Roswell, N.M., Gary C. Dunlap and Ronald E. Dunlap, both of Big Spring, and Gerald D. Dunlap of Terrell; sisters, Faye Horton and Raenita Earnest, both of Big Spring; 23 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

ANDREWS — Benito H. Luna, 78, formerly of Andrews, died Friday, April 2, 2004, in Odessa.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourds Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernard Gully officiating. Burial will be at the Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements are by Andrews Funeral Home.
He was born in Lockhart.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Valentin Luna of Plains, Alberto Luna of Eagle Pass, Ruben Luna of Elindio and Louis Luna of Dallas; daughters, Maria Gonsalez of Floresville, Dora Olivas and Erminia Montanez, both of Andrews; brother, Monico Luna of Ontario, Ore.; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Mary Jean Moten, 73, of Odessa, a retired employee of Medical Center Hospital and a homemaker, died Friday, March 26, 2004, at her residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Greater St. John Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Carthage.
SURVIVORS: Son, Ronnie E. Moten of Odessa; sisters, Elva Jay Upshaw of Los Angeles, Louise Cleaver of Odessa and Edith Jean Daniels of Paramount, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
