Geneva W. Deckert
ODESSA — Geneva W. Deckert was born on July 1, 1920, in Brookhaven, Miss., to Samuel and Jesby White. Ms. Deckert passed away on Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at Seabury Nursing Center in Odessa. She was 83.
Geneva married
Robert Deckert on May 7, 1942 in Roswell, N.M. They shared forty years together before his death in 1982. Geneva was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Robert Nichols Deckert; daughter, Frances Jordan Ray, who passed away Feb. 27, 2002; sons, William Jordan, who passed away Dec. 19, 2002, and Leonard Ray Deckert, who passed away Nov. 14, 2003; and a son-in-law, Weldon Ray Rose, who passed away May 21, 2001.
She is survived by her three daughters, Rose Alice Ashby of Eldorado, Ill., Doris Fay D’Allesandro of Waco, Texas, and Linda Kay Rose of Garland, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, at the Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery in Odessa.

Margaret Watts Diller
ODESSA — Margaret Watts Diller, 89, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, at Sienna Care Center. She was born July 16, 1914, in St. Jo, Texas, to P.W. Watts and Etta Oakley Watts.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.
Since 1948, she had been a resident of Kermit, Balmorhea, Gardendale and Odessa. Her husband, Harold Diller, and son, Eddie Joe Wood, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Evans and her husband, Forest, of Odessa; her grandchildren, Dr. Kash Biddle of Tulsa, Okla., Corby Biddle of Chandler, Ariz., Leslie Strifler of Plano, Texas; and eight great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Herminia M. Dominguez, 83, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Monday, March 1, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Uecker officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home.
She was born in Presidio. She was Christian Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Carlos Dominguez of La Puente, Calif.; daughters, Virginia D. Navarrete and Terry D. Llanez, both of Odessa; brother, Ray Mata of Odessa; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Jack Duke
PECOS — Jack Duke, 75, of Pecos, a car dealership owner, died Monday, March 1, 2004, at Reeves County Hospital.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Foster officiating. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Naravisa, N.M., and was a longtime resident of Pecos. He was an Army veteran and was Presbyterian.

ODESSA — Earl W. Fitzgerald, 89, of Odessa, a retired oilfield worker, died Monday, March 1, 2004, at the Hospice House.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Tapley officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Comanche, Okla.

ODESSA — Vina Hodges Koelzer, 72, of Odessa, a retired nurses’ aide, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Belmont Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryan S. Saffle officiating. Burial will be private at a later date. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home.
She was born in Tampa, Fla., and moved to Odessa in 1994 from Arizona. She was a Baptist.

SANDERSON — Epifanio Lopez, 83, of Odessa and formerly of Andrews, a ranch hand, died Monday, March 1, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. James Catholic Church in Sanderson. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be at Santa Rita cemetery. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
He was born in Rosenfeld and moved to Andrews in 1966 from San Angelo. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

FORT STOCKTON — Francisco A. Nieto, 93, of Fort Stockton, a retired general laborer, died Monday, March 1, 2004, in Fort Stockton.

ODESSA — Roy Darrel Thompson, 77, of Salem, Mo., a retired machinist, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, in Salem, Mo.

He was born in Hardage, Mo.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — John Melvin Dennison, 74, of Branson West, Mo., a retired chief appraiser for the Missouri State Highway Department, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at his residence.
A private family service will be held at a later date at the Missouri Veterans cemetery in Springfield. Arrangements are by Stumpff Funeral Home-South of Kimberling City, Mo.
He was born in Maitland, Mo., and had been a resident of Odessa. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
