ODESSA — Frankie Robbins, 68, of Odessa, a 20-year employee of Sears, died Monday, April 19, 2004, at her residence.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with James Otterness officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Funeral Home.
She was born in Ranger and was a longtime resident of Odessa. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Joe L. Robbins of Odessa; and brother, Kenneth Cook of Gardendale.

Daniel Tovar
ALPINE — Daniel R. Tovar, 57, of Hobbs, N.M., died Saturday, April 17, 2004, in Lubbock.
Prayer vigil will be at 6:30 p.m. today at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home in Hobbs, N.M. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine. Burial will be at Holy Angels cemetery. Arrangements are by Calvary Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Alpine.
SURVIVORS: Brothers, Manuel Tovar of Alpine, Bonifacio Tovar Jr., Jesse Tovar and Joe Luis Tovar, all of Hobbs, N.M.

Dixie Bean
MONAHANS - Dixie Bean, 67, of Monahans, a homemaker, died Sunday, April 11, 2004, at her residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christian Fellowship Church with the Revs. Jimmy Bryant and Wayne Woody officiating. Burial will be in Monahans cemetery. Arrangements by Family Funeral Services/
Jackie Harkey.
She was born in Stillwell, Okla.
SURVIVORS: Husband, B.A. Bean Sr. of Monahans; sons, Baine Bean Jr., and Roy Bean, both of Monahans; daughter, Gwen Pool of Richards; brother, Kenneth Williams of Zwolle, La.; sisters, Margaret Houghton of Hamlin, Myrl Newsom and Thelma Hudson, both of Odessa, and Pauline Bates of Fort Worth; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Johnny Cordero
MIDLAND - Johnny Vasquez Cordero, 61, of Midland, a retired security guard for Midland Memorial Hospital, died Friday, April 9, 2004.
Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Rodney White officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements be Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Marfa and moved to Midland in 1978. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Annie Cordero of Midland; sons, Joseph Cordero, Jacob Cordero and Joel Cordero, all of Midland, and Robbie Mendias of Cleburne; daughters, Annette Dillman, Aimee Ortiz and Abby Meja all of Midland, and Janie Zuniga of Odessa; mother, Mary Cordero; one sister; and 10 grandchildren.

Herschel Gossett
MIDLAND - Herschel Gossett, 87, of Midland, a retired insurance salesman, died Thursday, April 8, 2004, in Midland.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple. Arrangements by Harper-Talasek Funeral Home.
He was born in Coryell County and moved to Odessa in 1948. He moved to Midland in 1997.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Bertha of Midland; son, James Armstrong of Pearland; daughter, Sherry Stevenson of Midland; brother, J.C. Gossett of Temple; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Minta Moseley
ODESSA - Minta Marie Moseley, 90, of Odessa, died Friday, April 9, 2004.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Westover Baptist Church with the Revs. Wesley “Buddy” Cobb and Terry Wright officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Cloud Chief, Washita County, Okla. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Jean Roberts; brother, Bobby Sloan of Bethany, Okla.; sister, Elese Steckman of Carnegie, Okla.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Imogene Pilcher
ODESSA - Imogene Alcorn Vaught Pilcher, 71, of Odessa, a retired Odessa College English teacher, died Saturday, April 10, 2004, from an aneurysm.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank. W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in San Angelo.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Jacque Vaught Brogan of South Bend, Ind.; mother, Elsie Alcorn, sister, Mary Van Cleve of Arlington; brother, Lloyd Alcorn Jr.; and two grandchildren.

ODESSA - Frances Louise Sharp, 80, of Odessa, a
homemaker, died Saturday, April 10, 2004, at Terrece West in Midland.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Frank W. Wilson Funeral chapel with the Rev. Clydell Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank. W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born at Lake Whitney. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, James Daniel Sharp of Marble Falls, and Michael Eldon Sharp of Gardendale; daughters, Joan Lea Mendoza of St. Louis, Mo., Janette Frances New of Odessa, and Joyce Darlene Meadows of Gardendale; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Robert Shelden
ODESSA - Robert Shelden, 59, of Odessa, died Sunday, April 11, 2004, at Hospice House in Odessa.
Services are pending with Chapa Funeral Home.

Peggy Brown
ODESSA — Peggy Boles Brown, 64, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Clark Racca officiating. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. at the Christian Church of Odessa. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Odessa. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Jim Brown of Odessa; sons, James Ray Boles of Odessa, Terry Lynn Boles of Dallas and Steve Boles of Weatherford; mother and stepfather, Billie and Lynn Glass of Odessa; brothers, Don Pitts of Sheffield and Ricky Pitts of Odessa; sister, Betty Conant of Odessa; and four grandchildren.

SEMINOLE — John P. “Shorty” Cox, 77, of Seminole, a service unit operator in the oilfield, died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at South Seminole Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Dale officiating. Burial will be at the Gaines County cemetery North. Arrangements are by Boyer Funeral Home.
He was born in Jayton. He was a member of South Seminole Baptist Church and was an Army veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Nona Belle McDonald of Seminole; brother, Preston V. Cox of Hobbs, N.M.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Charles Dennis Sr.
KERMIT — Charles Ernest Dennis Sr., 77, of Wink, a retired gang pusher from Arco, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at Winkler Memorial Hospital in Kermit.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Family Services Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at the Kermit cemetery. Arrangements are by Family Services Funeral Parlor.
He was born in Madison, Kan. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Shela Dennis of Wink; sons, Randall Dennis, Charles Dennis Jr. and Kenny Daniel, all of Wink, Mike Dennis of Kermit, Kevin Daniel of Gautier, Miss., and Kerry Don Dennis of Odessa; daughter, Carol Harris of Carthage; brother, George Dennis of Abilene; sister, Florene Berry; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
