WAKE FOREST, N.C. — Stephanie Michelle Johnson Fletcher, 29, of Wake Forest, N.C., a senior case manager with the Wake County Department of Human Services, died Saturday, April 10, 2004.
Services were held Wednesday at Bright Funeral Home Chapel in Wake Forest. Arrangements were by Bright Funeral Home.
She was born in Wake County.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Hailey Madison Fletcher of Wake Forest, N.C.; stepson, Dalton Wayne Fletcher of Wake Forest, N.C.; parents, Deborah Gaye and Ricky Vann Johnson of Frisco; sister, Trevah Wall of Rolesville; brothers, Vann Johnson and Brandon Johnson, both of Frisco.

VAN HORN — Julia C. Granado, 82, of Van Horn died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, in El Paso.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Van Horn Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Miguel A. Sanchez officiating. Burial will be at Van Horn cemetery. Arrangements are by Van Horn Funeral Home.
She was born in Valentine and was a longtime resident of Van Horn. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Pablo C. Granado of Van Horn; son, Richard C. Granado; daughters, Lupe Pineda, Sally Carrasco and Dora Valenzuela; sisters, Delia Morales and Avelina Olivas of California; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Hector A. Hermosillo, 22, of Odessa died Monday, April 12, 2004, in Ojinaga, Mexico.
Services were held Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Uecker officiating. Burial was at the Ector County cemetery. Arrangements were by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Chihuahua, Mexico.
SURVIVORS: Father, Profirio Hermosillo of Odessa; mother, Norma L. Gomez of Odessa; and sister, Laura Hermosillo of Odessa.

ANDREWS — Harry Hopkins, 62, of Andrews, a former employee of West Texas Gas, died Thursday, April 15, 2004, in Midland.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with the Rev. Rick Doyle officiating. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Fort Smith, Ark, and moved to Andrews in 1982 from Alice.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Harry Hopkins of Midland and Johnny Hopkins of Big Spring; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

LUBBOCK — Walter Earl “Sam” McKinnie, 48, of Lubbock, a cook, died Saturday, April 10, 2004.
Wake services will be at 6 p.m. today at Brock’s South Plains Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lyons Chapel Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Brock’s South Plains Funeral Directors.
He was born in Odessa.

ODESSA — Thelma Louise Thomas, 75, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at the Hospice House.

She was born in Vernon and was a longtime resident of Odessa.

Kenneth Ray ‘K.R.’ Cook Sr.
ODESSA — Kenneth Ray “K.R.” Cook Sr., 66, of Gardendale passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born May 13, 1937, in Ranger.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Monahans. He worked for the railroad for 20 years and retired in the 1980s.
He is survived by his sons, Ken R. Cook Jr. of Gardendale and Kellen Cook of Odessa; daughter, Keeney Miles of Gardendale; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2004, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2004, at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating.

Elias ‘El Cavito’ Jordan Sr.
ODESSA — Elias “El Cavito” Jordan Sr., 45, of Odessa passed away Friday, April 23, 2004, at University Texas Medical Branch Hospital in Galveston, Texas. Mr. Jordan was born February 22, 1959, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Urbano Hernandez and Guadalupe Jordan. He was a Christian Catholic and worked in the construction industry.
He was preceded in death by his Father Urbano Hernandez. He is survived by his daughters, Janet Jordan and Evelyn Jordan; sons, Aaron Jordan and Elias Jordan Jr.; and one granddaughter, Tyra Holguin, all of Presidio; mother, Guadalupe Jordan of Ojinaga, Mexico; ten brothers, Jesus Manuel Hernandez of Odessa, Enrique Hernandez of Odessa, Jose Luis Serrano of Carlsbad N.M., Severo Serrano of Odessa, Benjamin Varela of Odessa, Alfonso Varela of Odessa, Antonio Varela of Odessa, Gilberto Varela, Miguel Angel Varela, Auden Varela; and four sisters, Jessica Hernandez, Maria Elena Serrano, Alma Rosa Varela and Brenda Varela, all of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2004, at Del Valle Funeral Home in Ojinaga, Mexico. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2004, in Cd. Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. Interment will follow at Jardines de San Jose cemetery in Ojinaga, Mexico.

Billie Sue Kelly
WAXAHACHIE — Billie Sue Kelly, 72, of Ennis passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, April 27, 2004, in Dallas. She was born October 26, 1931, in Waxahachie to James Milton and Willie Jo (Dellis) South. She married
Robert Kelly October 7, 1949, in Waxahachie.
Billie Sue retired from Texas Oil and Gas in Dallas. Following retirement, she enjoyed working part-time at the Card and Party Factory in Ennis. The last several years she enjoyed traveling with her two sisters.
Billie Sue was so proud of her sons. She loved sports and attended every sporting event for all four of her sons as they were growing up. Over the last several years, she enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in sports. She will be missed by many.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Robert Kelly of Ennis; four sons and their wives, Ken and Becky Kelly, Joe and Jan Kelly, Jerry and Jan Kelly, all of Dallas, and Robert and Carol Ann Kelly of Ennis; brothers and sisters, Martha Hensley of Duncanville, Jim M. South Jr. of Odessa, Carol Cox and husband, David, of Ennis, Joe South and wife, Saundra, of Laguna Park, Texas; sister-in-law, Joni South of Dallas; eight grandchildren, Corey Kelly, Malorie Kelly, Hope Kelly, Sara Kelly, Madison Kelly, Dennis Conaway, Matthew Kelly and Meggan Kelly; one great-granddaughter, Hayley Conaway; and 10 nieces and nephews, Kelly Betik, DeeDee Gryder, Tommy Hensley, Kathy Rush, Scott South, Suzanne Jackson, Lee South, Leah Brown, Lezley Milner, Laurie South. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Milton South.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2004, at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Stohner Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City cemetery.
Family visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

PALESTINE — Services for Gladys L. Crutcher O’Neal, 78, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Dean Easterling officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
Mrs. O’Neal died Monday, April 26, 2004, at Palestine Regional Medical Center. She was born April 15, 1926, in Anderson County to Louis W. Camp and Bessie Fulgium Camp. She was a homemaker and a member of the Walston Springs Baptist Church.
Mrs. O’Neal was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Murray A. Crutcher Sr.; and her second husband, J.B. “Shorty” O’Neal; sister, Lucille Prater; grandson, Larry Wayne Parsons Jr.; and a stepson, Don O’Neal.
She is survived by daughters, Glenda Easley and husband, Bob, Dale Parsons and husband, Larry Sr., all of Palestine; stepdaughters, Sue Hanak of Palestine and Mrs. Ron (Bettye) Greene of Tyler; sons, Murray A. Crutcher Jr. and wife, Pam, of Odessa and Bill Crutcher and wife, Pinkie, of Palestine; sisters, Grace Lively of Magnolia, Betty Joyce Ray of Denson Springs, Mary Minton of Jacksonville and Hazel Starr of Palestine; a brother, Henry M. Camp of Palestine; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Hayden Parsons, Gary Hill, Frank Easley, Murray A. Crutcher III, Michael Crutcher and great-grandson, Austin Evans.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
She will be missed by her family and friends. She was a loving, caring person to everyone she knew and spent her entire life offering help to all she found to be in need.
